Chapter 24: Chapter 24

"Are you okay!! What are doing?"

I hoisted my head veered just to see him standing behind me, "no... nothing!! What are you doing here?" I choked all of a sudden, he shoots me an odd look before replying to me, "am just coming from the doctor's office and I noticed, you weren't at the lounge, so I came looking for you? So tell, why were you hiding here?".

For a weird reason, I ran out of words to speak up, he waits for my response but vees back the second Ravi calls out to him, we ran out and rushed into Mr. Smiths room, he rolls and tried breathing, Ravi asked Darren to call the doctor, which he did, leaving us behind.

I stood by the side and saw the scared look on her face, and forcefully removed my eyes, so I won't be urged to help her.

"What's keeping Darren" she runs to go meet him and left me in charge of the same man I wished to kill.  (Too easy).

I watched him and walked further to his oxygen tank kept by his side, Mr. Smith was on the verge of kicking the bucket and it will give me so much pleasure to watch him die, even the bible says, does that kill my the sword will die by it, and he's going to die today no matter who tries to stop me.

Somehow Mr. Smith took notice of my hands slowly approaching his oxygen tank, he jerks his hands up and stop me midway.

"What.....are...you..doing.." he teethes the words out, still holding unto me.  Apparently for someone who is on the verge of dying his grip became tighter.

"What!!! What do you think I am doing?" I smiled and gently removed his hands away, and attempted to do the same action before, my hands slowly kept moving closer but unfortunately, Darren, Ravi runs in and saw me in a compromising position.

They both fell those eyes on me after seeing my hands closer to the oxygen tank.

"What are you doing and where your hands close to dad's oxygen tank?". Darren all of a Sudden became suspicious of me, and if care wasn't taken, Ravi would be suspicious as well.

"No... nothing...dad wasn't breathing well and I thought setting his oxygen tank, will at least allow him to breath". I blab out the first thing I could think of, even a child won't be able to believe a word I say, Ravi caught everything Short by hurling the doctor over to Mr. Smith.

The doctor checked and managed to calm him down, a cloud of relief hovered around Daren and his mom, as for me I wasn't pleased as to what just happened, o watched from the side and took note of everything going on at the hospital.

(Inaudible conversation)

After long hours at the hospital, I returned home and fell my eyes on Jenny who waited for my return inside my room.

"Good evening ma'am" she gained my attention, donning a weak smile.

I locked the door immediately my eyes fall on her, "why are you still here?" I asked in a low tone, " actually ma'am, I was waiting for you!!!! You haven't paid the remaining balance of cash you promised me if I did a good job".

A frown drops, "do you think, that what you did was a good job!! I paid and asked you to exterminate Mr. Smiths, rather you mixed broken glass into his food, why did you do such a thing?" I maintain the same look on my countenance.
