“I couldn’t even begin to imagine the pain I’d put you through but somewhere, I could guess that it would have broken your heart into tiny pieces to see me giving more priorities to someone else. Because right now, I’m thinking in the same way by imagining you with Nathan. I saw the hurt in your eyes that I’d put there by not mentioning even a once that I chose you over her when Colton said that he would spend time with you if I would stay with Chloe.”
“I know that was selfish of me that I thought to have both of you, but not once I thought to leave you. I know that was also wrong. It’s not that I realized all this in the last couple of days. I knew that about it all along but did nothing at that moment is the past that is killing me inside.”
“I hate myself for what I have done and trust me, the guilt within me is eating me. I won’t blame Keanu fully for all this because only if I would have determined my decision, then wouldn’t this have happened. I’m willing to lay down my life if you will ask that from me for what I have done. Also, I owe my life to you.”
“I agree that I didn’t kiss Chloe or sleep with her but thinking of spending my life with her even for a second is counted as cheating. I know what I did is unforgivable, but I promise that I’m willing to spend the rest of my life making up for it.”
“I’m not asking you to forgive me now and here. Take your time. Just… just don’t play this game with me.” Calvin nearly begged, and a lone tear escaped from Ethlyn’s eyes. “Please, say something.”
Ethlyn took a moment to respond to the speech that Calvin said in front of me, “Wow!!” She whispered, wiping her tears. “Your acting and your dialogues were so real that I felt that I was in another world.” She said, showing how impressed she was with his speech.
“Ethlyn…”
“Now, tell me, where is the camera?” Ethlyn asked, looking around as if she was searching for the camera. “Just because I don’t have my memory, you’re trying to prank me, right?” She questioned with a playful smile, trying her best not to show that she wasn’t really affected by Calvin's heartfelt apology.
“This…this is not a prank, Ethlyn,” Calvin spoke in a low tone. He felt like his tiny hope was crushed badly when Ethlyn called his feeling a prank. “I…. I was sincere with my words.”
“Oh, okkkaaayyy!! Reva didn’t tell me about all this, but anyway, now that I don’t remember the pain you gave me, you don’t have to apologize to me. And if that is not enough, then you’re forgiven if that is what you want.” Ethlyn said as if she wasn’t a big deal for him. She really wished him to leave the room, or she would be exposed because it was hard to pretend in front of him with each passing second.
'You’re forgiven if that is what you want.' Calvin repeated her words in his mind. He didn't just want forgiveness. He wanted more. He wanted her.
"Will you please leave now, Alpha?" Ethlyn asked. "I want to sleep again." She added to kick him out from there.
"I will be back again because this is not over," Calvin whispered and stood up on his feet, and started leaning toward her. Ethlyn's eyes widened at first, thinking that he was going to kiss her, but instead, he shifted toward Roselet and kissed her hair. He smirked when he heard her heart pounding loudly inside her chest.
'She might have forgotten me, but her heart still has the same effect that it had before.' He thought before leaving.
