Chapter 146: Chapter 146
No...
No...the words got stuck in Sara's as she tried to fight off the stranger who grabbed her throat, cutting off her air supplies and slamming her head forcefully on the crystal roof, with her divine half exhausted and pushed to the back, her human self couldn't resist the assault and partially gave up to darkness, unable to see what was happening to her but able to feel it.
The weight on her abdomen, the man was straddling her, his filthy hand moving from her throat to her face, touching it delicately and tracing her deep scars, the touches felt more like caresses, soft, slow, and disgusting...
"What an interesting little thing you are, Hybrid, I would have kept you for my own pleasure if I could!" Even in her semi-conscious state, Sara was able to differentiate the voice from the other three she heard before in her dream, the man was not one of them, which meant he was the second generation God Eren warned her about...
Nov...
Eren...The thought of the warm smile quickly passed in Sara's head, bringing a bitter hope to her mouth, she knew he was out there looking for her, she had felt his strong, dark, and imposing presence outside the center, the question however was why? Was he there to stop her? Save her? Or maybe kill her now that she had unleashed her powers on everyone, now that he had someone else, the memories of that bloody kiss resurfaced, turning the small hope into ashes only for it to be replaced by something else.
Pain...
It was so painful, her heart felt as if was bleeding and weeping, she wanted him to be there with her, gather her in his arms and soothe her, kiss her, and not anyone else, it was a selfish thought but even she couldn't afford to be that selfless, not with the amount of pain it brought her, and not when it came to the man she loved.
It was no longer that troubling to admit, that she loved him so much, two years ago, she fell in love with the surface, the one she thought was but a facade only to learn that it wasn't, not entirely, a part of him was that gentle, tender, soft, and caring, and she loved that about him, another part of him though, was dark, possessive, strong, and raw, it was the edgy part that broke and wounded her once, a wound she still carried but learned how to live with, it was the part that clicked with her own edginess, matched and completed, and she loved that part too, that man was for her and she was for him, he was hers and she was his, he was all that she wanted when there was nothing to want, all she needed when she nothing.
But he couldn't wait any longer! And instead went for her sister, the lovely and flawless flower, the one who opened up under his touch and heated eyes.
Her human self was such a weak mess, Sara thought as the pain of her heart merged with the excruciating physical pain she was feeling all over her body, It was painful everywhere, every cell was suffering from it, a pain so intense and vivid while she was once again imprisoned inside her own body, her divine half too exhausted and drained to interfere and save her from what was causing her so much agony.
Not what, but who, the man with the sinister eyes, they were almost as pure as hers but at the same time, they were different, something was lacking from them, the warmth that came with that grain of good everyone possessed, no matter how small it was, there was no such a thing in him, only a terrifying and narcissistic madness.
He was bad news, Sara thought, but not as bad as the fact that there was nothing left in her to fight him off, she had abused her powers for days, abused her body that could not take it any longer and collapsed, what she did wasn't something any of the other Gods did, not even her mother, and for a very obvious reason...it was too dangerous, the consequences too heavy.
..........
...lia
A distant voice reached her ears, so faint and weak, her body was still hurting, her heart was in no better state, her mind was dizzy and unstable, for a second she just wished to ignore it, and just remain in her chaotic world, but the calls became more persistent, more urgent and scared.
...ahlia...please...
That is painful! Sara thought as she felt a weight being placed on her sore arm, the skin felt so sensitive as if it was burned.
"...Dahlia!!"
Unable to take the painful touch and the persistent calls any longer, Sara opened her eyes to meet a pair of teary blues, the eyes looked so scared yet so relieved as they watched her blink several times, trying to adjust to the dim and orange lights.
Candles!
"Are you okay?" Sara stared at her sister for a few seconds, studying her face, trying to find the traces of the horrible human she was, the one who chased her out of the castle, humiliated her, shamed her, called her names, and then kissed her man, but there was no, there was only the frightened and delicate princess her sister always was, she looked miserable, starved and dirty, her hair was a mess, her face was covered in dirt and trails of tears and she even smelled, something wasn't right, Sara thought, but that didn't help in absorbing her anger one bit.
"Are you hurting anywhere..." Nara's question was cut short when the hand she used to check on her friend for any possible injuries was slapped abruptly, the slap wasn't harsh or painful, but the look on the black-haired girl, who had few silver roots poking up from her scalp, told that it was meant to be harsh and repulsive, and it was just her exhaustion that stopped her.
"What is this place?" Sara asked coldly, wanting to sit up at least but she couldn't, even lifting her hand was labor, nevertheless, she was more interested in knowing where she was rather than listen to her sister's fake affection.
"I...I don't know!" Nara's voice trembled and so did her retreating hand, a hurt but guilty look on her face.
"How did you end up here?!"
"I...sneaked out of the castle to look for you, but then I was attacked, you were right...it was Nicholas!" Nara's heart bled as she admitted the fact that her twin, her other half was a monster, a criminal, he and his men killed the guards before they captured her, harmed her, and brought her to that place where she was locked up for the last days while something big and bad was happening outside, and on the other hand, Sara was processing the things her sister just said, quickly concluding that Nicholas and his priest must have been working with Nov since he brought her there, and the other thing was...
"Why did you come looking for me?"
"I...You..."
"Did you have any other names to call me? A marred monster, a deviant, and a freak were not enough? What? Did you want to remind me not to return? Or did you want to ensure that I won't return...or maybe..." Sara stopped for a second, a humorless smile on her lips, wondering how could her sister fake such perfectly shocked expressions as if she was hearing those words for the first time.
"Or maybe you wanted to brag about it on my face, ghat you kissed him, my man, my demon!" Nara fell on her elbows and quickly crawled back, terrified at the way her friend barked the last words with so much anger and pain...
And betrayal?
"Wh...what are you talking about?!" Kissed whom exactly? Her demon? The shadows' lord? Nara thought back about the time she was kidnapped by the fire demons, the things said, and the things she learned about her dark-haired friend!
"No...I didn't...!!"
"You are finally awake?" Right when Sara was about to answer her sister, the sinister and amused voice returned, making the true princesses look at him.
"Ni...Nicholas..." Nara whispered, noticing the other person who walked behind the strange mand with silver hair, her gaze was focused on her twin brother, his eyes were hollow and his face was covered in inky marks, but her brother only gave her an indifferent look before looking away, back to the silver-haired man.
"Shall we go?"
"A little impatient, aren't you, my love?" Nov answered Nicholas' question with another, his eyes never leaving the hybrid who was laying on the ground, she was perfect! He thought, so beautiful and edgy, the scars on her face, similar to the chaos and ugliness he had inside him, and she was the daughter of Historia at that...
How much he wanted her! Nov thought, suddenly feeling bored of his human toy, the hybrid, however, she would be something he never tried before, something unique, edgy, and wild like her eyes and soul.
"You know he is on his way, he is looking for both of them!" He? Who's he? Eren? Is he looking for her? And also her sister? Why?
"You are right!" Nov answered with pursed lips, not liking the fact that he wasn't right and needed to be corrected, but his little toy did have a point, traveling through the storm to get the hybrid wasn't an easy task, if anything, it drained him as well, the storm was stronger than anything he ever faced, leaving him without a fair amount of bis strength, which meant that he could not stand against the shadows' lord and his demons.
"What about her?" Nov pointed with his chin at Nara who still had her eyes on her brother, a small hope visible in them.
That would be fun to break!
"We can't take her, she remains here just in case something went wrong and we still needed to blackmail Henry!" Nicholas answered coldly, not a single trace of hesitation nor remorse in his voice.
"Aren't you afraid the others might rape her? I did hear them talking about it, saying what a fine and fuckable thing she was!" Right when Nara gasped and Sara growled, Nov laughed out loud and finished the words that fell on the two princesses like a bolt.
"Of course you are not afraid, you stopped caring since the day you poisoned and killed your own parents!"
******
"Henry!!" Rima barged in into the meeting room, not caring about all the generals, dukes, nobles, commanders, and the old creepy demon present with the king, discussing the dire situation they were in and the huge losses the kingdom had suffered.
"It is Eren! He found her, he found Nara!"
Hearing those words, Henry bolted out of the room with his queen trailing behind him, non of the people present in the room dared to stop or protest as they all knew how worried the king was about his sister and how bad he was waiting for any news about her.
"Shall we end the meeting?" One of the nobles suggested, seeing the hesitation in the eyes of the rest.
"Why though?" Everyone turned to look at the old demon whose face was a mask of calamity as if there wasn't a single thing in the world that could faze him. "We are already here!"
"But the king isn't! And we can not carry on without him!"
"Nor is my lord, but that didn't stop me from coming here and discussing the decisions that would affect all of our futures, everyone who was invited to this meeting is important enough to have a saying in the decisions making." The human nobles all looked at the old demon who remained calm as he lectured them as if they were a bunch of little children, but before any of them could've said anything, the old man spoke again.
"Unless you think the storm was the last of its kind, which I can assure you that it isn't!"
..........
"Is she alright? Is she harmed in any way?" Henry asked urgently while mounting on his horse, he even refused to put on his armor and instead rushed towards the stables, his guards and queen following him.
"She is safe!" Rima answered vaguely as she mounted behind Henry on the same horse, not knowing what else to say as she did not know either, all that she knew was that the princess was found alive.
Henry was never a person to abuse any creature and Rima knew it, however, the way he kept whipping the poor animal for it to run faster towards the forest where his sister was kept, and only made her feel more sorry for her lover, and how worried he truly was about his sister to the point of losing himself and all his restraints at once.
Reaching a large tree, both Henry and Rima quickly jumped off the bed to join the group of shadow demons, the one named Andrea included, but behind them, on a rock, Sat the small frame that was his sister, only that she didn't look like herself.
Her once lush red curls were flat and oily, her dress and face were covered in mud, her cheeks were hollow and lips dry, and her eyes, they were teary as she trembled in fear.
"Nara!" Unable to hold himself any longer, Henry ran toward his sister, pushing through the demons until he reached where she was, Rima watched as the siblings threw themselves in each other's embrace, both mumbling some incoherent words.
"He killed her, Henry! He killed both of them!" Nara gasped out, more tears coming to her tears, "our parents, Mother, he killed her, Nicholas...all this time, I thought she would come back! The hope never died, but she was dead, somewhere alone, without us! She is gone, our mother is gone!"
Henry felt the floor being pulled from under his feet, all this time, and even when it was stupid to hope, he still hoped, that a miracle would bring his mother back, deep down he refused to believe the obvious, but his sister's words were the last nail in that hope's casket.
And it was none other than his own brother, his flesh and blood...
But why? His father was a true bastard to all of them, but his mother? She was the best mother anyone could have, why would he kill her...
"Do you know where he is?"
"He and the silver-haired man took her, they said to where the true Goddess is laying!"
"Our lord is already on their trails, we will be joining him now that you are here!" Andrea answered before signaling to her demons to move, with the human soldiers there, she had no reason to stay and protect the weeping princess, not while her lord was facing terrible danger.
"Took who?"Henry asked, perplexed, unable to process all the pieces of information given to him at once,
"Dahlia! They took her!"
........
"Get your fucking hands off me!" Sara wished for her words to be as threatening as she wished them to be but unfortunately, she was too drained to even do that as the silver-haired bastard removed the last piece of her clothes, leaving her bare to his eyes, she shivered as she saw the disgusting look on them, the one that reminded her of the priest who tricked her in the tower almost three years ago.
"What a perfect little thing you are! This body of yours, so beautiful!" As if he didn't hear her words, Nov kept on staring at her smooth skin and feminine curves as she laid on the floor of the shack, naked and vulnerable, he wanted her so bad, she was too good to wait, and a virgin too, but something told him that he didn't have any time to waste.
"Give me the blades, Nicholas." Nov gestured for his toy who frowned and moved to hand him the small blades which were made of volcanic glass and submerged in demons' venom, the one they gathered from the children they killed, while deliberately stepping on the girl's leg, making her hiss in pain.
He was the one, Sara thought, the one she has been looking for all these years, the one who's blood and death she craved, her own brother, the one who killed her father, however, and to her misfortune, she couldn't do a thing but glare at him, her eyes cursing him back to hell.
How come she didn't feel him? Any of them when she was in the center? Was it the poor excuse of a God named Nov? She didn't sense any of the other Gods either, was it that?
"Feisty little thing, aren't you?"
"You are going to regret this painfully!" Sara said through clenched teeth, her eyes staring at the blades the bastard had in hand as he looked down at her, not only did he remove her clothes, but all the furniture and memories and items that were there inside the shack, all of her memories with her father, everything! They threw it all out.
"I would save my energy if I were you!" Nov shook his head before stomping on her chest, hard enough to hear some of her ribs, making a silent scream leave her mouth as tears gathered in her eyes, and even then she still looked beautiful, he thought, how good would it be to fuck her, to bring the same expressions out of her by burying himself deep inside her, shaking his head, he pushed the thought to the back of his mind, His plan was more important than the sudden desire he was feeling for the hybrid girl.
Sitting on her chest, Nov began to make small cuts all over the girl's body, making sure to change the blade once he suspected that the venom was no longer effective, the girl whimpered and trashed, but because of the weight on her broken ribs and the horrible pain she was suffering, she couldn't move nor make any noise.
Nevertheless, she was able to think, to hope, that he was going to come for her.
Her demon!
