Sara knew, but Dahlia refused to believe it, she refused to believe it was all for her.

Shaking her head, Sara forced herself out of the spectator's role and back into the battle right when the fire demons resumed their attacks, this time instead of attacking all from afar, some chose to charge at her directly, they were a little bit slow, Sara noticed as she quickly formed another bubble around her sister, she wondered if it was their previous "Energy donation" that caused them to become slower but was still happy that they were, reaching out for her core, Sara managed to link both her hands and her feet this time, condensing the particles around her hands to form two short swords and charged at the approaching demons ruthlessly, knowing it was either them or her, not saving a single ounce of energy and not sparing a single soul, she swiftly evaded the fire balls raining on her, her feet made the lava solidify once she touched it, she waved her sword at the closest demon ripping off his head in one move, then the second, and the ones that came after, she was moving at a very high speed even the demon lords had a problem following her moves.

"well look what he has here?" Micka snarled with bitterness lacing his voice, he didn't let it show but he was beyond affected by Emilia's death, but instead of sorrow, he felt rage, sorrow was for later, it was for the lonely coming nights but the time being was when to take down the bastards that killed his beloved.

Signaling for his demons to step back and attack from afar, the demons obeyed at once, stepping away from the killing bolt as some named her and instead attacking from afar focusing the attack on her, Micka tried to attack the hybrid he thought for so long was dead but was instantly punched away by the shadows’ lord who bolted rushed towards Sara.

"They knew about me?" Sara asked while inspecting the fire lord from afar, he did manage to cause Eren some serious damage but he was in worse state, his energy, unlike the shasows’ demon was burned out and he had some serious injuries all over his body, none of them was lethal enough though.

"They do, I need to get you out of here..." Eren said while they both dodged the attacks coming at them, the fire lord looked like he was healing himself letting his demons exhaust the shadows’ lord and her while he did so.

"I really doubt they would let me waltz out of here..." Sara said, blocking the attacks all while keeping her particles charged to prevent the floor from melting under their feet, with the amount of air she had charged, she was able to even reach out to the first line of demons, her particles were inhaled by them and in no time many demons, tens probably were suffocating on the ground, but no matter how much she tried to take down, more kept on coming at them.

"Don't worry, I will keep you safe" Eren said while dodging some attacks himself, they stood back to back, covering up for each other, however, he didn’t plan on keeping things that way, he needed to get her out to safety, and then blow up the cave with him inside if necessary.

"I will not let anyone hurt you..." Sara didn't reply to that, she didn't feel like telling him she didn't need him, she didn't feel like attacking him or talking back or anything, her mind was blank from any smug response, and she just chose to stay silent, for she knew, deep inside, that it was all for her.

" When we were out of the cave, You mentioned something..." Sara finally spoke, the fire lord was now orchestrating the attacks and Sara understood why he was the lord, instead of the random attacks, he chose to surprise them, shower them with the mini attacks then make the demons as well as himself focus their attacks into combined heavy ones that destabilized the hybrid duo.

"What..." Eren said, thickening his shadows on Sara's side to stop a giant fire beast that lunched at her which caused him to receive a direct attack on his knee...

"You said I have the power to manipulate life, You meant life force?" Sara asked, inspecting his knee injury which looked pretty bad, concluding that this battle needs to end fast.

“I have a plan..." Eren turned to Sara with a frown, her eyes were dead serious as she stared at the demons as if she was looking right into their souls, and she was, all while her mind reminded her of something she read long ago, death is not the opposite of life, but it supplement, death made life complete and gave it a meaning, death was a part of life journey, it was a part of life itself…

And she had the ability to give, take, and control that life

"Sara, I will take care of this, You don't need to..."

"Your aura is fading, mine as well, Nara's body is suffering from the heat and the lack of breathable air, we Need to end this fast..." Sara interrupted him quickly, she didn't need another one of his poetic lines saying he will die in order to protect her, it was not his death that she desired at that moment, if anything, it was his life, she needed his full cooperation for her plan to have a slight chance to succeed.

"I need your help..." Sara said, looking him dead serious right in the eye, Eren froze for a second before nodding, overwhelmed by the strength and intensity in her eyes, like a Goddess, like the sun.

" It is all yours..."

As Eren expected, Sara's plan was the most reckless thing he ever heard, he tried to convince her to drop it but it was of no use, she was determined to face the risks herself, he had to accept eventually but not before making her promise to try her best to stay safe.

Sara and Eren exchanged a look, taking deep breaths, Eren wasted no time in releasing a huge wave of darkness, it felt like a dark circle coming out of him to spread in all directions, Eren made sure to charge the attack with the creation energy instead of his demonic energy due to the fact that the fire element, which produced light, was the natural predator of shadows, but while charging it with the creation energy, his element became stronger and more resisting, the wave collided violently with the lines of demons causing them to be pushed several meters back, some of the weaker members were sent flying away, among the entire army, only the fire lord was able to stand his ground and resist the wave, his feet slipped a little as the wave wasn't exactly easy to stand against but he did, his raised arms were crossed in front of his face while he bent a little to protect his head and chest, but  right when the attack passed him to the demons behind him, a white illuminating bolt appeared in front of him, the bolt was too fast it appeared and retreated in incredible speed that it wasn't before she stepped away that he realized the huge wound on his chest that started to burn and bleed profusely, the fire around the wound was extinguished stopping the wound from closing making the fire lord fall to his knees before screaming in pain...

Sara jumped back to where Eren was as fast as she left, once she did she bent down, gasping like a dying mouse, she did put on a good amount of energy on her attack, the same kind she used on Eren for the first time but that wasn't what took her breath but the high speed she had to keep for her attack to work, she needed to make her move right when the Wave hit the fire demon, not before so he or his army won't see her coming, and not after so they can capture her before she could do it, her legs as well as her lungs were burning and every breath felt like inhaling fire, but none of that mattered to her, not with the first step of her plan working perfectly....

" Are you okay? " Eren rushed to her side, rubbing her back soothingly, worry evident in his voice, she nodded before inhaling a big amount of air and straightening up.

"The next step is the hardest, For both of us..." Sara said, trying to calm her breath...

"Can you do it?" Eren asked worried

"I believe I can, It is not going to be easy on me, Nor on you, he will be at his strongest..."

"Don't worry, we will take him down..." Sara knew that Eren would be giving her a reassuring smile at the moment but smiling was an option his demonic form didn't have, nodding , Sara looked back at Micka, focusing on her particles while monitoring the rest of the army.

"They have started, When I tell you Now, Go for him..."

Closing her eyes, Sara focused on the air, her particles were mixed with every bit of it and inhaled by everyone in the cave, including the fire demons and their lord, she felt them creating the link again, remembering how Emilia's core reached out for her life force, she tried to make her energy seep through their systems, deeper, and into the link, the cores were then tied to the demons hearts, and their life forces, once they formed the link with their lord to give him their energy to heal faster, Sara screamed at Eren with her eyes still closed.

"Now!!"

Eren didn't need to be told twice, he directly lunched himself at the fire lord who stood up ready for battle, the link wasn't broken and Micka didn't plan to break it yet, He didn't mind taking every last bit of his army’s strength if it meant taking down the hybrid duo, power rushed in his system like an erupting volcano, a power he focused into a lethal attack that he released at the shadows’ lord.

Instead of evading the attack, Eren kept on his track, taking it all head up, he felt his joins being ripped and his skin being peeled but he refused to fall back, he kept on advancing forward with a load growl until his fist was dug deep into the Fire demon’s chest, deep enough for him to feel the beating heart in his palm, hot like an amber, before ripping it up.

The cave went suddenly silent, because of the link, all the fire demons were connected with each other, but with Sara playing her own trick from the back, manipulating their life force and uniting it, not only their cores were connected but their lives, and with one life being put to rest, the rest soon followed.
