Chapter 156: Chapter 156

The doorbell rang! After sometime the door was opened by a maid, she just stood there...

“It's still early in the morning, who could that be?” Mrs. Pinnock said and asked looking up at Jhonia.

“Don't look at me, I don't know.” Jhonia said responding to her, just then Nearce was heading down the stairs for breakfast and spotted the man standing at the door. His facial expression changed from calm to extremely angry.

“Oh, I wonder what his problem is?” Mrs. Pinnock asked, Jhonia look up to see Nearce standing at the part way to the dining room.

“He's just being himself when things don't go his way. Let's just eat and ignore him, plus I have decided to stop listening to your nagging about this relationship with my boss so I will go on a date with him.” Jhonia said after she glance at him then turn her attention to Mrs. Pinnock saying to her, she then carry on to explain she can't take her nagging so she will give Kyhe a chance but what Mrs. Pinnock wasn't expecting was that she had decided to go the date with him.

“Brilliant. I'm very happy today, but speaking of which, shouldn't he call to confirm your date for today?” Mrs. Pinnock said with excitement then announced she's very happy then asked Jhonia, who looked up at her.

“He should or at least he had but I didn't bring my charger home. It was left in the office, so I didn't bother. But whoever is at the door shouldn't they enter or the maid bringing whatever came in? I also intended to get dressed for this date from home, back at my apartment I mean.” Jhonia said to her explaining her charger is back at the office so she didn't bother, changing the subject which made both of them concerned. Jhonia then added as the both stood up to go see who is at the door, as she continues to explain.

“Nonsense, you will dress from here and I happen to have the perfect dress for you.” Mrs. Pinnock said to her as she quickly walked around the table forgetting they were heading towards the door, she held Jhonia's hand pulling her towards the staircase.

“Ah... Ahem. Sorry but they were having breakfast and I think you should wait outside a bit and I'll inform Madam of your presence.” The maid finally spoke and cleared her throat, stepping out and closing the door behind her then she began to explain they were having breakfast but should be having breakfast and that he should wait and she will go and inform them he's there. Kyhe nodded but he thought the maid was doing that because of Nearce who was standing behind her. The maid opened the door to go inside but was surprised!

“Mr. Pinnock. Ah, breakfast is already served.” The maid in shock called, addressing him, then said. Kyhe was now sure she didn't know he was there. She closed the door behind her and took a few more steps inside.

"Go bring my car keys quickly." Nearce said to her in a demanding tone of voice, which made her forget to deliver the message and rushed for his car keys instead like he requested.

Meanwhile!

“What? No, definitely not! Mom, my legs are almost exposed. I'm not” Jhonia questions and responds to her explaining her leg is almost exposed. And they are for the dress is rather tight and once seated her legs will definitely be exposed! Yet before she could finish Mrs. Pinnock began pulling her towards the door, cutting her off.

“I said no!!!” Jhonia yelled pulling back from her, Mrs. Pinnock was stunned by Jhonia suddenly tone of voice and action, Jhonia was staring at her as if something has gone wrong and the look on her face change as she wondered why Mrs. Pinnock wanted her to go out like that.

“Madam, your son he's”

Jhonia's mind went blank immediately as the maid rushed to them and began speaking of Nearce, it was in that moment she realized that it was all so Nearce knew that she's no longer apart from the contract anymore.

“I am sorry, I didn't mean to... I'll wear the dress.” Jhonia suddenly apologized to her and said, taking a moment before she looked at herself and said with a smile. She stepped out from the doorway of her room and stood beside Mrs. Pinnock.

“Please don't be so eager to push me into his arm, it will push me away from him instead. I know your wish is to see me happy but since it's mine and not your happiness, allow me to step into it willingly. That's all I'm asking you for.” Jhonia pleaded to her to not push her into Kyhe's arms for it would only push her away from him instead because she's being pressured and forced. She then explained the happiness will be for her and not Mrs. Pinnock therefore said she should allow her to step into it on her own, and said to her. Jhonia's last words made Mrs. Pinnock emotional and finally took time to think about what she said. Mrs. Pinnock nodded in silence. She didn't know what to say whatever she intended to say to her, it was as if her eyes were opening up and she feels she will receive what she wants from Kyhe and Jhonia.

“Like I said, I will wear this dress so don't worry, let me get my things and return.” Jhonia repeated herself saying she shouldn't worry and explained she's going to get her things. She then proceeded to do so, but Mrs. Pinnock was now looking serious as Jhonia's back was turned to her.

“How dare he? I am so sick of him to the core of my dying bones. Where did he say he's going?” Mrs. Pinnock asks in anger managing her voice because she didn't wish to upset Jhonia so she could change her mind. She asked the maid as she took a deep breath before she breathed in and out slowly.

“Let's go down.” Mrs. Pinnock said with a smile the second Jhonia left her room, she could see that Jhonia was not happy with the dress.

“What's going on?” Jhonia asks as they walk down the stairs, but then she sees Nearce standing in the hallway. She sighs and walks towards the door.

“Let him send you since he is so eager to go out all of sudden.” Mrs. Pinnock said with a happy smile after she saw that suddenly Nearce is eager to go when Jhonia is, but what she didn't know is that Kyhe is outside. Nearce smirk looking down at his phone then looked up at his mother.

"Why?" He asks as if he doesn't desire making Kyhe feel like he lost the second Jhonia gives him hope. It was in that second the maid remember that Kyhe is outside waiting for Jhonia.

“Madam, that might not be an”

"Great. I'm heading out anyways, wherever she is going I hope she won't mind if I send her." Nearce said with a smile cutting off the maid, then he got serious and said way walking over as he explained his hopes for Jhonia not minding but he was actually referring to Kyhe who is waiting outside.

“No, actually I won't. But you on the other hand won't be wearing that smile for long.” Jhonia said to him not knowing his intention, but suddenly Jhonia made him regret it already. It was then he stared her down unexpectedly. She was the glimmer he never thought he saw before. Now, it was actually what she said it would be with that smile he was wearing.

"Where is she going? Where are you going to dress like that? As your husband i disapproved this type of dressing, Jhonia what has gotten into you?" Nearce asked his mother, then turned his anger to Jhonia and ask, raised a past fact to disapproved of her dressing but what he doesn't know is that Jhonia hated that kind of dressing more than he do with her dressing that way because it was same dressed like women he cheated on her with..
