Few weeks later! Jhonia lay down in her bed glaring at the ceiling.

“Ah... It's that time of the year again. Mom, I miss you so much and dad would be leaving for one of those unsteady jobs right now. As I need to be at my stable one.” Jhonia sighed and said, sitting up and saying as if she was speaking to her mom about her father in his presence. She tried to smile as she got off from her bed but it faded. At the office.

"She has been like this since the month started!" Kyhe said, looking down at Jhonia, who was busy with doing her work.

"What are you talking about?" Kuwain asked, walking over to him and began looking down.

"Ah! Jhonia, maybe because it's her birthday and she can't celebrate it because it's the day she lost her parents." Kuwain said and Kyhe turned to him immediately with a glimpse of hope which shattered instantly, he looked down at her.

"Now, the crying eyes made sense because she hasn't been colourful all month either. The pain she must be in, and why is she at work today?" Kyhe said looking down at her clenching his fists, he said then asked in anger.

"Because of you!" Kuwain stated and walked away from the window, Kyhe turned around following him.

"Because of me, how?" Kyhe said and asked looking at him as he sat comfortably and on his phone.

"Yes. If Jhonia had come and asked for the day yesterday with yet another conflict caused by Emmari, would you have said yes to her?" Kuwain responded to him then looked up at him, reminding him of yesterday and asking. Kyhe began remembering.

“You're taking side's Mr. Knight and you know it.” Jhonia said to him and he glared at her then at Emmari.

“It's Secretary Smith, Mr. Knight.” Jhonia cut him off and said to him, addressing him. Kyhe looked up at her with surprise.

“I have work to attend to Mr. Knight, I have no intention in going with this with you for your mind has already made up! Next time don't act as if you need my present for your side taking. I will take my leave.” Jhonia said and addressed him, as she explained she no longer wished to bicker because his mind is made up. She then requested he excluded her from everything then on in her own words before stating her leaving and left. Kyhe ran his fingers through his hair and looked up!

"Jhonia you're- Jhonia? Ah... What the hell is wrong with you? Huh?"

Jhonia was going when he began to speak there he cut himself off and questioned. He sighed loudly then yelled asking Emmari.

"Get out of my sight!" Kyhe cutted her and said, after she left he smirked at how angry he made Jhonia.

"And you think it's fun?" Kuwain asked and he returned to reality!

"You're right but maybe I would have said yes, if she had returned and spoken with me but she was still upset because she thinks I took Emmari's side." Kyhe said to him and responded he continued to speak on the behalf of Jhonia and why she thinks he's taking side's as she is still upset with him about it.

"What if she comes here now what would you do?" Kuwain asked him but he did not respond immediately, he looked up at Kyhe.

"What's up with you?" Kuwain asks as he is now acting like he is or was working!

"Ah, Jhonia is coming." Kuwain said to him with a mocking smirk on his face.

"The f and you." Kyhe said to him and he chuckled!

"If I was a woman you wouldn't pass up the chance." Kuwain said and Kyhe grabbed one of his pen and throw it at him, Kuwain kept his laughter until Jhonia knocked on the door twice and began waiting.

"Do you mind leaving?" Kyhe asked Kuwain who looked up and stared for a moment!

"Hide!" Kyhe said to him.

"Where?" Kuwain asked as Jhonia was knocking again.

"Anywhere, just don't be seen." Kyhe said to him and he stood and walked over to the closet and hid! Jhonia knocked and Kyhe stood from his seat for she was entered after knocking twice yet she's knocking thrice without entering. He opened the door and pulled her inside.

"Are you still upset with me?"

Kyhe asked to close the door behind him and turn towards Jhonia who took the opportunity to put down his documents and was now getting ready to leave without answering.

"Jhonia, I asked you a question." Kyhe called her by name and remembered her his question yet she still kept silent.

"Hmm. Secretary Smith." Kyhe said and addressed her.

“Yes, Mr. Knight.” Jhonia responds to him addressing him. Kyhe met her eyes immediately.

"You are still upset with me, aren't you?" Kyhe asked, taking a step closer to her, Jhonia stepped back and he grabbed her waist pulling her up close to him.

"happy birthday!" He whispered in her ear, and suddenly Jhonia decided to keep still into his arms. Kuwain peaks out and begins taking photos of them in each other's arms.

"no, but you celebrate their birthdays and if I was in the position they're in watching over my baby. I would be more happy to see her happy on the date she was born, give them that." Kyhe cut her off and whispered in her ear what he believed her parents would need for her. Jhonia stood still comfortably in his arms not wanting to have him let her go.

"I shouldn't have gotten angry at you yesterday and I was taking sides but you mistaken the side I was taking." Kyhe said to her and took the chance to explain to her what she didn't notice yesterday or waited to hear it from him.

“I didn't mean to mistake your side taking, but why did you call me here if you didn't want it to look like you're taking her side.” Jhonia said to him in his arms where he refused to let her go from Kuwain came out from the closet and sat down watching them.

“I have work to go back to and you need to let go, I'm your Secretary remember.” Jhonia said to him after returning the hug then tried to pull back and he refused!

A female cleared her throat and Kyhe hesitated to let go of Jhonia, who turned around to see Kuwain seat on the extended couch.

"Oh, don’t mine me." Kuwain said as he waved off Jhonia then gave her an approving smile.

"What the fûk are you doing here? Elenia." Kyhe asked her then called her name like it was a disease.

“Nice to see you babe.” She said and walked over to his desk and put down her bag.

“babe?” Jhonia whispered in question and looked back at her immediately.

“Your mother said to send you this. Your brother has grown up so well!” Elenia said to Kyhe cutting him off then stated about his brother.

"Elenia Yin, soon she will be visiting your workplace often. She's your boss ex." Jhonia remember what Jea said and took a deep breath then smile.

“jea was right!” Jhonia whispered to herself!

"What? What did you say?" Kyhe didn't hear her properly, so he asked but Jhonia ignored him.

“Nice to see you again, Elenia Yin.” Jhonia said, which surprised Kyhe and Kuwain. Elenia returned the smile and extended her hand.

“We didn't properly introduce you, you were in such a rush.” Elenia said to Jhonia but her hand was hanging and seemed to still be hanging.

“Jhonia Smith, J H O N I A.” Jhonia said to her then spelled her name for her, except she spelled it for her in the same way she once spelled Jhoni-ni which alerted Kyhe, who's now seem to be in a trance in the moment.
