Chapter 141: Chapter 141

Elias Lancaster opened his eyes, his head aching a little. He reached out to rub his head, but his hand was pressed down.

When he turned his head, he saw a large expanse of a pale woman.

He instinctively sat up, his mind instantly sobering, looking at the woman lying there.

The woman was awake too, at this moment opening her swollen red eyes, looking at him, and tears immediately fell.

Elias Lancaster felt as if struck by lightning on a clear day.

The next second, he pulled the quilt over to cover the woman’s naked body and picked up his clothes to put on.

Turning to look at the woman, he saw her trembling all over as she cried.

Willow Scott, seeing him look at her, just hung her head, hugging the quilt and crying.

Elias shook his head, looking at the woman, finding it hard to accept the situation in front of him.

He had just gotten up, completely naked, and the woman still had so many marks on her body, so...

Did he touch this woman last night?

He, Elias Lancaster, actually touched another woman?

Something must have gone wrong.

He glanced at the clothes scattered beside the bed, his eyes red as he growled, "Who allowed you to climb into my bed?"

He knew himself very well, he wouldn’t touch another woman.

Last night’s event, he couldn’t recall, but he dared to say there was definitely a misunderstanding here.

Hearing the man’s voice, Willow Scott cried even more.

"Sir, don’t you remember? Last night you were drunk, I helped you upstairs, but once we got into the room, you pushed me down, no matter how hard I struggled.

I was crying and begging you to let me go, but you didn’t listen at all, you just... just... boohoo..."

Elias Lancaster, "..."

Had he mistaken this woman for his beloved?

He still couldn’t accept it, anger roaring, "Who let you come here at night?"

"I received a call from Nanny Livingston, saying you’d be back tonight and asking me to prepare breakfast in the morning. I went to the kitchen to check if there were enough ingredients.

When I entered, I saw you drunk on the sofa, so I thought of helping you back to the room, but you mistook me for the young madam... boohoo..."

Elias turned around, no longer looking at the woman on the bed, suppressing the pain in his chest, and coldly ordered.

"Leave here immediately, don’t tell anyone about last night, or face the consequences."

But Willow Scott just sat on the bed, motionless, crying all the while.

Elias coldly stated, "I’ll have someone send you a check, now get out of here."

"Boohoo... Sir, what’s the use of money, where can I go... boohoo..."

Listening to the woman’s cries, Elias, face darkened, turned and left the room.

He returned to the room, holding a check, and tossed it in front of the woman, "Take the money and get out, don’t let me see you again."

Willow Scott wanted to continue crying that she didn’t want the money.

Elias gave her no chance to speak, his face gloomy, "Take the money and leave, or..."

Elias squinted at her, the rest of the words unsaid but clearly understood.

Startled, Willow Scott seemed scared, quickly getting out of bed, dressing, and taking the check, deliberately limping as she left.

Elias gazed coldly at the bed he shared nightly with Serena, furiously throwing the quilt to the floor.

When he saw the spot of red on the sheet, his mind went blank, feeling utterly crushed.

Not only was he not clean anymore, but the other party had been a virgin.

Elias Lancaster, you scoundrel.

How can you face the woman still lying in the hospital, whom you claimed to love? Look at what you’ve done now?

He turned and went to the bathroom, letting the water run over him, trying to calm himself down, and think carefully about what happened last night.

He only remembered just coming out of the hospital yesterday, when Quentin Shaw called, saying an important business partner was there and inviting him to dinner.

Feeling remorseful at being chased out of the ward by his father-in-law, he agreed to the social engagement, drinking with whoever toasted him until he passed out.

He still remembered in the middle of drinking, Nanny Livingston called, saying she had something to do tonight, then Quentin Shaw took him home, and he remembered nothing after that.

No matter how hard he tried to recall, he only felt that there had been someone beside him last night, but he couldn’t remember anything he might have done.

The girl couldn’t be more than twenty years old.

Thinking about what he did to her last night... Elias Lancaster was filled with regret, his fists pounding the cold wall.

Why couldn’t he control himself?

Why did he have to touch another woman?

What was his beloved supposed to do now?

What about the two kids?

Elias stood there, letting the water pour over his head, but still couldn’t calm down, unable to forget what he’d done.

An hour later, he came out of the bathroom, changed out of yesterday’s clothes, and threw everything including the bedding away.

Then he grabbed his keys and left.

At the hospital room door.

He stood at the door, not going in.

Kian Keaton came out and saw him, "I think you and Serena are not suitable."

Elias clenched his fists, not speaking.

During the three days Serena was hospitalized, Elias never appeared in front of her, she called him, but it was always Quentin Shaw who answered, saying President Lancaster was busy in closed meetings.

What she didn’t know was that every night after she fell asleep, Elias would appear in the hospital room.

Until she was discharged, Elias never appeared.

At eleven o’clock noon, Serena was discharged, declining her parents’ kindness, insisting on returning to Norris Gardens.

Ronan Keaton took her to Norris Gardens and then left.

Serena entered the house, seeing Nanny Livingston tidying up the place.

Nanny Livingston saw her too, quickly putting down her things to greet, "Young Madam, you’re back, how are you? Feeling better? What would you like for lunch, I’ll prepare it now."

Serena shook her head, "Nanny Livingston, I’m fine now, anything for lunch is fine."

She always felt like she smelled of the hospital, which she didn’t like, so she went upstairs to shower and change, feeling much better.

Not seeing him, she left the room and went to the study, but he wasn’t there either.

Her brother had clearly said he was home!

Serena went downstairs and asked Nanny Livingston, "Nanny Livingston, isn’t Elias home?"

Nanny Livingston shook her head, "Sir came back early in the morning but left again, should I call him and ask?"

"No, it’s okay, he should be back soon."

Serena was unsure about what was going on with Elias?

She had only undergone a minor surgery, so why had he suddenly started ignoring her?

Could it be that he was upset that she hadn’t pleased him?

Serena shook her head, telling herself not to overthink, taking out her phone, she called Old Madam Lancaster to video chat, smiling happily at the two little ones on screen.

She kept waiting and waiting, until nightfall, and still, Elias hadn’t returned.

She began to wonder, did Elias not know she had already been discharged and returned?

Thinking this was possible, Serena took out her phone and dialed his number.

But it kept ringing without being answered.

Just before it was about to disconnect automatically, the call was picked up.

Serena took a deep breath, "Elias, I’ve been discharged, are you home?"
