Chapter 135: Chapter 135

A loud bang startled the two of them.

They looked toward the door.

They saw Brandon Grayson standing there with a dark face.

Nathan Sawyer quickly stood up, saw the man’s dark face, and lowered his head.

Serena couldn’t even finish her greeting.

The man simply turned around and left!

"Brandon Grayson, wait a minute." Serena instinctively lifted her foot to follow him.

But Nathan Sawyer quickly pulled her back.

"Nathan, why don’t you explain?"

"Forget it. Let him go." Nathan sighed.

The girlfriends continued chatting about private matters in the office, and it wasn’t until almost off work time that Nathan left for home.

"Serena, I’m going home first."

Seeing Nathan looking distracted, Serena was worried.

"Nathan, let me take you back to the hospital."

"No need, it’s troublesome. I’ll just take a cab." Nathan waved her hand.

Serena put her into the car.

She called Elias Lancaster.

"Baby." Elias’s pleasant voice came from the other side.

"Elias, I want to discuss something with you!" Serena said.

"You don’t need to pick me up from work later. I want to go to the hospital to accompany Nathan."

"Okay, remember to eat. I’ll pick you up when you’re done."

Elias readily agreed without any hesitation.

Serena returned to the office and finished all the tasks she needed to handle.

She then went to Nathan’s favorite restaurant, packed some meals, and headed for the hospital.

The two of them chatted for a long time until Nathan got tired and fell asleep, and only then did Serena leave.

As soon as she left the hospital gate, a car stopped in front of her.

She took a step back and looked around.

At this moment, the car window rolled down, and the handsome face of a man came into view.

"Elias, why are you here?"

"I’ve come to take you home."

Serena happily got into the car.

After washing up in the evening, Serena lay in his arms, listening to his heartbeat, unable to sleep.

"Didn’t you say you were tired? Why aren’t you sleeping?" Elias looked at the restless person in his arms.

"Elias, I want to ask you a question."

"Back then when you married me, was it because you liked me or because of the two babies?" Serena looked at him with clear eyes.

Elias lowered his head and bit her lip lightly.

"Ouch... it hurts..." Serena whimpered softly, giving him a coquettish glance.

"Tell me, what happened?" Elias asked.

"Nathan came to the studio today, and it seems like there is a problem between her and Brandon Grayson," Serena said.

"We were in the office this afternoon..." Serena explained the whole situation.

"Elias, do you think Brandon Grayson likes Nathan?" Serena wondered.

"That’s their business, let them sort it out themselves." Elias held her, "With you, I have no regrets in this life!"

Serena’s fingers moved across Elias’s chest.

Elias’s breath quickened due to her teasing, "Baby, you’re not sleepy, are you?"

"A little bit." Serena hadn’t realized the danger was imminent.

"Then let’s do something we both enjoy to burn off some energy..." Elias didn’t give her the chance to refuse and kissed her directly.

The room was filled with romance until Serena was exhausted and about to sleep, and only then did Elias, satisfied, hold her as they both fell asleep.

On the last workday before the holiday.

Everyone was busy wrapping up their work, then tidying up their desks.

Most importantly, everyone checked their bank cards with smiles on their faces.

"Dad, mom, when is brother coming back? He’s been on a business trip for almost a week." Serena asked.

"He should be back soon." Kian Keaton said.

"Then when brother gets back, let him pick up Nia Irving." Serena calculated, not wanting to miss anyone.

She was really looking forward to this Chinese New Year.

Serena was exhausted today, she didn’t expect there would be so much to handle.

Many things used to be done by Nia Irving and Nathan.

Nia said she had important matters to attend to this week and wouldn’t be coming by.

Nathan was in the hospital, so Serena had to handle it all herself. Follow current novᴇls on 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡⁂𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⁂𝙣𝙚𝙩

Just when she lay down to sleep.

Elias’s phone rang, he glanced at it and answered, "Hello!:"

"Brother-in-law, are you busy?" Ronan Keaton’s voice came through, and Serena’s eyes sparkled, brother.

"About to go to sleep."

"If you’re not asleep, then come pick me up at the airport!"

"Brother, you’re back?" Upon hearing Ronan’s words, Serena leapt excitedly from the bed.

"Yes, Serena is there too! I just got off the plane."

"Brother, wait there, Elias and I are on our way to pick you up now." Serena said.

"Alright, take your time, no rush."

After agreeing, they hung up the phone, and Serena urged Elias to change clothes, "Elias, hurry and change, let’s pick up brother and bring him home."

Elias changed clothes, grabbed a scarf and hat for her, then held her hand as they headed to the car.

Upon arriving at the airport, Serena spotted Ronan from afar and called out, "Brother, we’re here."

Ronan heard the voice, looked up and saw Elias and Serena walking toward him.

He pushed his suitcase forward, reaching out for a hug with his sister, only to be intercepted by Elias.

Ronan frowned, "She’s my sister, my own."

"She’s my wife." Elias’s words gave Serena a slight headache.

Elias could be jealous of anyone!

Serena leaned into his ear, "Elias, he’s my real brother, doing this will make him sad!"

"I get sad too." Elias’s response took Serena by surprise; this man was getting more and more tender-hearted.

She suddenly missed the cold and unfeeling man he used to be!

"Tonight, whatever you say is what we’ll do, okay?" Serena whispered sweetly in Elias’s ear, coaxing him.

"Okay." Elias agreed without hesitation, giving Serena the feeling she’d just walked into a trap.

But she really didn’t want either side being hurt, so she attended to the matter at hand.

Serena approached Ronan, opened her arms, hugged him, and happily said, "Brother, you’re finally back."

Ronan excitedly hugged Serena back, then shot a provoking glance at Elias.

Elias looked at him, itching for a fight.

But recalling Serena’s earlier promises, he held back.

By the time the three of them returned to Norris Gardens, it was already eleven at night.

After bidding her brother goodnight and returning to their room, Serena collapsed onto the bed, "So tired!"

"Let me bathe you," Elias said, holding her.

"No, I can do it myself." Serena just wanted to lie down a bit longer before going to wash.

Elias said nothing, went into the bathroom, and began filling the tub with water.

Once everything was ready, he came back, carried her in.

Serena’s face blushed, "I can bathe myself."

"Baby, you’re tired, let me help you wash." Elias’s eyes were filled with desire, Serena looked up, met his deep gaze, felt her heart tremble, and accepted.
