Chapter 50: Chapter 50

After leaving Rosa's, Evans and I head to meet the rest of his family.

Well, most of them.

Evans calls Caroline and she manages to gather Grace and Murphy for lunch.

"I do have to make a stop," Evans says as he drives.

"That's okay." I smile as I look out the window.

It’s still about two hours before we have to meet them for lunch. I’m feeling a little full from breakfast, and to be honest, I’m starting to feel a little sick. But I know that this is important, and I want to get it over with. I just want everyone to know already.

"My youngest brother, Henrik, is coming home for Christmas," Evans says. "He was supposed to get here tonight, but his flight was early, and I agreed to pick him up." He smiles. "Besides, it is the perfect timing so you can meet him."

"He's the model?" I ask.

Evans chuckles. "Yes, he is." A frown crosses his face. "People follow him more than any of us. They may be waiting for him at the airport. I'm sorry I hadn't thought of this."

"It's okay." I shrug. "I don't really care about anything anymore. As long as I'm with you."

He turns to look at me as he stops at a red light, smiling. "Thank you for that," he says reaching for my hand.

I squeeze his hand back. "Just being honest."

He half smiles before turning his attention back to the road. The ride to the airport is silent. When we get close, Evans calls Henrik and asks him to walk outside. I look out the window and know exactly why. Outside the airport is a group of people with cameras. Evans stops by the curb and some of them begin to hover around the car, shouting questions and snapping pictures. I turn to Evans and he looks angry.

The double doors of the airport open and I watch as a tall guy walks out. Everyone floods around him as he makes his way towards the car. When he opens the backdoor, the car gets loud as they all ask him questions at the same time.

“Henrik, is it true that you are dating Ivy?"

"How long will you be staying in New York?"

"Where will you be spending Christmas?"

"Are you going to spend Christmas with your mom or dad?"

As soon as Henrik shuts the door closed, Evans stomps on the accelerator and the car takes off.

"Hey," Henrik says from the backseat.

I turn around and realize he is looking at me. Henirk is like a mixture of his mom and dad. He has brown hair that is faded on the sides and kept long on top. He has a strong, sharp jawline, a straight nose and perfect full lips. His eyes are his mom's eyes, blue and big. He has fair skin and broad shoulders. Compared to Evans, Henirk is not as muscular, but I can tell he is toned. He is a really handsome guy. He has a really good face.

He smiles at me, showing off his perfect white teeth. "You must be Ciara"

I frown. "How do you know my name?"

He chuckles softly. "Oh, you're very popular in my family right now. I heard your name all the way to Paris."

"I told him about you," Evans says, rolling his eyes at the road.

I smile in relief. "Oh. Well it's nice to meet you."

He grins. "Likewise."

I can’t look away from his pretty face for a moment. He’s really just that good looking. I finally turn away, feeling embarrassed. What is it with Evan's family? They are all so attractive. It’s unreal.

"How's mom and dad?" Henrik asks, leaning in so he's in between Evans and me.

"Do you really want me to answer that?" Evans asks.

Henrik laughs. "Nope. What about Murphy? Caroline? I haven't talked to them in months."

"Well that's because you never answer your phone."

Henrik shrugs. "I've been busy."

"They're all okay. Caroline had the baby about five months ago."

Henrik smiles as he nods. "She sent me a picture of him. He's a little future model, brother. Mark my words."
