“Wait? Is he my mate now?”

“Who? Who’s your mate now?”

I turn around to meet those beautiful gray eyes again.

“You, you’re my mate now?” I said.

“I see. That’s why we feel that sparks.” He moves forward. Looking at me like I’m his prey. “May I ask you something, did you accept your mate’s rejection before the ceremony?” Alpha Mark asks as he continue moving forward.

I step back until my back hit the tree. Shit!

“Yes.” I breathed out.

“The Moon Goddess pairs us now as new mates. That means you are mine now.” He said and corner me with his arms resting on the tress. His eyes are now glowing, I can feel his wolf reaching to my wolf too. They are trying to dominate us and take their claim on us.

Mine? I am his mate?

“Wait…. I barely know you and this is too sudden.” I tried to move away but he stops me using his other hand caging me in the tree.

“I am your alpha now and you are the Moon Goddess chosen Luna. My second chance mate. We have a lot of time knowing each other.” Mark says. His lips are now inches away my neck.

A shiver runs down my whole body when he licks it.

Wait, did he just say second chance mate?

“Wait, did you just say second chance mate? What do you mean? You already have mate too?”

Mark removes his hands and look away.

“My sister and my mate died on the same day.” He said.

I can feel the sadness in his voice. I remember him talking about his siter yesterday when we met.

“I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t know.” I said.

“Don’t worry. It happened a long time ago. What important right now is that we met and we can still have a new life together.” He looks at the Moon above us. “Finally, she made something good in my life.”

“I didn’t know that you lost your mate. I thought that you still haven’t met her.” I said.

“I met her a while ago.” He said as he stares at me.

I feel my heart beats quickens and feel hot in my cheeks.

I heard him laugh.

“You’re cute when you blush.” He says.

I hold my face in embarrassment.

“stop teasing me Alpha Mark.” I said.

He pulls my hand away from my face and he hold my chin to look at him.

“It’s Mark. I am your mate now Wendy. We are equal and you’re now the Luna of this pack. You don’t have to call me by my name.” He said.

“I-I know but as I told you, it’s all sudden. I just accepted my mate’s rej---.”

“He’s not your mate anymore.” He shouted.

I step back but I realized what I said.

“I mean I accepted his rejection just now and then I got a new mate all of the sudden. I’m not yet ready for a relationship.” He grabs me in my waist. I feel the sparks again and this time I can feel his whole body pression on me.

“You are mine.” He said. His tone is different.

“I’m not own by anyone Mark.” I said back.

I don’t like him acting so possessive to me. Claiming that I’m his sounds so different. I’m suffocate by his hand around me. I push him but he ignores me.

“Mark, you are hurting me.”

It seems to work on him. He removes his hand around me but stay in front of me.

“Move all your things to my room. You’re now staying there.” He said.

“No! I will stay with my room till I’m ready to be your mate.” I said.

“Wendy, don’t make it difficult for the both of us.”

“I didn’t. I just need time to absorb all of the changes happens in my life in just one day.” I said.

“Fine! I’ll give you only tonight, but tomorrow you will sleep in our room.” He said.

“You’re making this hard for the both of us. I feel your possessiveness and it’s irritated me.”

“You will understand when you lost your mate and sister in front of you on the same day. I just want you to stay beside me all the time. To make sure that it will not happen to you too.” He turns around after saying that.

I was left hanging. I don’t know what happened to him before and why his sister and mate died. He doesn’t need to act that way. I feel bad.

I’m about to follow him but decided not to. It’s not good to follow a mad alpha. I don’t want to argue with him more.

I move back to the ceremony and look for Allie. I found her talking to some pack members. She smiles when she saw me and eye me like saying ‘Where the fuck did you go?’

I grab her hand and excuse her from the crowd.

“Why? what happened?” Allie asks.

“Mark is my mate.” I said.

“What? Alpha Mark is your m—” I cover her mouth before she can finish her words. There’s a lot of people here who can hear her.

“Tone down your voice Allie. I don’t want to be bombard with questions here when they here that Mark is my mate now.” I said.

“But how does it happen? You already have a mate. Wait he rejected you and now you rejected him, that means the Moon Goddess make another mate for you and that is Alpha Mark. What a lucky bitch you are!” She said.

“I didn’t know that Mark is mate less. His mate died long time ago.” I said.

“I kinda know that. Kayden told me when we are fixing my things in his room.”

“You know? What happened?”

“His mate and sister were killed by his best-friend on the same day he met his mate. It’s one of the rogues who follows his best-friend. When his friend realizes that it’s his mate, he killed his mate that moment. Then his sister who rejected his best-friend was killed by his friend too.”

“That’s tragic.” I said.

“Yes, it is. But I learn that there’s a woman who help him to recover before but she’s not here anymore. If I’m not mistaken her name is Angel.” Allie said.

“I know her, Mark already told me about her. She’s like his sister.”

“Sister? I saw her picture. She resembles you in a way.”

“Where did you see her picture?” in asks.

“In my mate room. They are hugging together with Alpha Mark.”

I look at her like she’s irritated in saying that.

“Why are you having sour face there? Don’t tell me you’re jealous about her. She’s their little sister.” I said.

“Sister? they are not blood related and the way Kayden talk about her is like he is worshipping her.” Allie said.

“We don’t know their story Allie. We are new here. She’s important to Mark like a sister and I respect that. You too, you need to accept that.” I said.

“Well, she’s not here anymore and she’s already mated to someone else. That’s good news for the both of us.” Allie said.

I see Kayden looking around for Allie. I wave at him. “Your mate is looking for you. I will rest now, let’s talk tomorrow.”

“Okay. See you tomorrow.” She run to her mate and I laugh how she jumps into Kayden’s arms.

She’s really a possessive and jealous one. Just like my mate.

Wait? Did I just say my mate?

‘Yes, you did Wendy.” Lucy answered.

‘He is now our mate, what are we going to do?’

‘Why are you asking me that stupid question. He is our mate and he is ours. No one can take them away from me now. My first mate was taken away from me and I don’t have a choice about it, but now, I will fight and kill someone who will try to take him away from me. No one can steal my mate twice. I will not allow it this time. And Mark is a good catch. I love power and he is powerful. He is good for us.’ Lucy said.

I don’t have response to what she said. All she said is true and I agree with her. I also don’t want him taken away from me this time. He is also MINE!
