Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Layzen

"Look! Look! The camel looks cool!"

"What is cool about camels? You won't be able to see them in person anyway."

"Where can we find a camel, then? I want to see one. I wanted to see how big and cool it is in person."

"You can see them in a zoo."

"Brother Layzen!" Thalia called my name.

"Yes?" I asked.

I think I have not heard anything since a while ago. "Can we go to the zoo and see a camel?" Thalia asked.

"There are no camels in the zoo here. You can see them mostly in Egypt, Mongolia, and China." I told her.

"Can we ask Uncle Gio to drive us to Egypt?" Thalia asked again. "So that we can see the camel in person." she added.

"I think it is far from here, Thalia." Little Matthew said.

"We can't go there?" Thalia asked sadly.

"Sorry, Thalia. When your parents get home, you can ask about it." I told her.

When will they come?

I became a nanny after six years.

"Everyone! I am home!" we heard Lyndon shouting from the living room.

"I am going to take care of three kids now." I muttered.

"Uncle Lyndon!" Thalia greeted him back.

"How is your work, Uncle Lyndon?" Matthew asked.

"As usual, but I had fun. How about you guys? How is your day?" Lyndon asked the two back.

"They want to see a camel." I answered.

"Oh... Camel? There is no camel in our country. You will be able to see them in another country." Lyndon explained.

"I told you that we could not see them in person." Matthew said to Thalia.

"Why are there no camels here?" Thalia asked.

Our conversation lasted for an hour, discussing the camels. "Where is Archane? Is he still at work?" I asked.

"Nope. I think he will be late. He is at the mall with his girlfriend." Lyndon answered.

Right, Archane has had a girlfriend for two years already. His girlfriend is kind and pretty. She loves Matthew and Thalia too. They always buy the kids some gifts whenever they visit here.

Dad is working in his company.

"Mom and Dad are here!" Thalia yelled.

Matthew and I stood up to greet Traizle and Matthew.

"Baby! How is your day?" Matthew asked Thalia after showering her with a kiss.

"We learned many things today, Daddy." Thalia said excitedly.

After those years, my sister and Matthew had a happy and messy family. They married after a year of their relationship, like what my sister promised to Matthew.

"How about you, Matt?" Traizle asked little Matthew.

"I had fun in our school too, Mom. How about your work?" Little Matthew asked his parents back.

"I had fun at work." Traizle answered.

"Mom, can we see a camel? Brother Layzen and Uncle Lyndon said that camels do not live here." Thalia asked Traizle.

"Let's head to the living room first so that I can prepare our dinner." Traizle said.

When we got to the living room, Traizle went upstairs to change and prepare for our dinner.

"You wanna see a camel, Baby?" Matthew asked Thalia.

"Yes, Daddy." Thalia answered.

"How about you, Matt?" Matthew asked his son.

"I am curious about it too, Daddy." Little Matthew answered.

"Shall we see one? Let's fly to Egypt and try to ride one. I want to see and try it too." Matthew said excitedly.

"How about our studies, Daddy?" Little Matthew asked. "Mom will get mad if we do not attend class." he added.

"He will scold you, too, for arousing their excitement." I told Matthew.

Matthew pouted right away. "Let's not tell her about this for now. Are we clear?" Matthew said. "Before weekends, I will discuss this matter with her so we can all go to Egypt." He added, telling us his plans.

After those years, Matthew and Traizle did not change. They are still the people we all know. All that has changed is that they have their own family. Matthew Jr. and Thalia. Little Matt is older than Thalia.

Regarding their personalities, little Matt got my sister's character, while Thalia got Matthew's. Thalia is too talkative and acts like Matthew, while little Matt is quiet and mature already.

"I bought some chocolates a while ago on our way home." Matthew told us and opened his bag.

The thing they all have in common is their love for sweets.

"Let's not tell Mom about this," Little Matt said. "She will scold us for eating sweets for dinner." he added.

Yeah, he is mature—but not for their sweets.

"Layzen, here." Matthew said and handed me a big chocolate.

"Okay, I will be quiet." I answered.

"What are you guys whispering?" Lyndon suddenly asked from behind us. "Oh, you are hiding from Traizle again. Should I tell her?" He added.

"Man, do not spoil the mood." Matthew commented.

"Help me bully Archane." Lyndon suggested.

"Deal. That is not a big deal, Lyndon." Matthew said.

There is still a big match between Archane and Lyndon whenever they are in this house. Although they have a match, Traizle can make them stop after a few minutes. Aside from Dad, that is the power of the older people in our house.

"How is school, Layzen? Do you have friends now?" Matthew asked.

I nodded. "They are also inviting me to come to their study." I shared.

"It's fun. Try it. You will go to the karaoke room after the study." Matthew shared this as well.

"Really? My friends and I never did that. We thought it was boring." Lyndon replied.

"Yes, the study time is boring. But the karaoke part is powerful." Matthew answered.

Daddy Albert and Archane came, and we had dinner without spilling anything to Traizle about Matthew's plan. We do this from time to time. Matthew is the mastermind behind every plan that will happen. Sometimes, Traizle will get mad and scold him for an hour, but sometimes she would let it pass as long as our studies were unaffected.

"Wife, can we eat sweets after our dinner?" Matthew asked Traizle as if they did not eat sweets a while ago.

"Just do not overeat." Traizle answered.

"Mom, help me with my assignment later." Little Matthew said.

"Mom, me too. And I have a lot of stars in my notebook!" Thalia shared excitedly.

"My granddaughter and grandson did a very good job in school?" Dad asked.

"Yes, Grandpa!" The two answered happily.

"What do you want as my gift?" Dad asked.

"I wanna see a camel, Grandpa!" Thalia said. "Daddy said we would go on weekends to see one, right, Daddy?"

I immediately turn to Matthew's. "When did he say that?" Traizle asked.

Little Matthew covered his sister's mouth before she could even tell what we had talked about a while ago.

"That was supposedly our secret, Baby." Matthew said.

"Sorry, Daddy." Thalia said.

The second reason Thalia resembles his father is that she can't keep secrets like her father.

"Wife... it is not that I want to keep this from you..."

"We just need to ensure that the kids' studies won't be affected." Traizle interrupted.

"We will go to Egypt, Mom?" Little Matthew asked his mom.

Traizle nodded. "You guys look like you wanted to see them, as long as we could afford it." Traizle answered.

"Thank you, Wife! I will call Nana and Pops and tell them we will vacation for two days this weekend." Matthew said excitedly.

"How about our chocolates, Daddy?" Thalia said.

The trip is already safe, but I don't think what Thalia said will be okay with Traizle.

"We talked about this already, Matthew." Traizle said, glaring at Matthew.

"I am out of that scene. I do not know that." Lyndon commented.

"Me too. I am with my girlfriend, and I just came home." Archane commented too.

"Uhh, I'm at work." dad, who didn't want to get involved, said.

"Mom, Daddy said he bought it for us," Little Matthew explained. "So, I am out. I just ate what Daddy gave to me."

"Me too, Mommy. Hehe." Thalia said, saving herself as well.

Now, Matthew is looking at me with pleading eyes. Want to get saved by me?

"What is your reason now, Layzen? Do you know this?" Traizle asked me.

I quickly shook my head. Avoiding Matthew’s pleading.

"Wife, do not get mad. We won't eat secretly again. Promise." Matthew said, trying to woo Traizle.

"Layzen, answer me." Traizle called me again.

"Uhh... I have no idea." I answered and avoided Matthew's pleading eyes.

"Matthew, you cannot eat those sweets for two weeks. If I catch you eating it, we will not see that camel, understand?"

"Wife. No! My sweets!" he said, as if his world crumbles down.
