Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Traizle
"Just because I said so?" he asked back nonchalantly.
I have to extend my patience when it comes to him. I did not bother to talk to him. I am tired and sleepy already. It is a good thing that Zarsuelo did not ask me anymore. I can see Layzen outside of our house, sitting in front of the gate.
"Traizle!" Layzen exclaimed when he saw me. "Some foods were delivered here a while ago." he added.
Zarsuelo raised his hand and said, "That is my order."
Layzen looked at him suspiciously. "I do not know you," he answered. "Why are you with a stranger?" He then asked me.
"Your sister knows me, I even brought your favorite food." Zarsuelo answered my brother.
"I forgot to tell you about him, but he is not a stranger, okay?" I said as I was trying to explain his existence to Layzen.
He waved at him. "I am Matthew Zarsuelo, let's be friends. I do not bite. I have many toys in my house." Zarsuelo told Layzen.
Layzen's eyes widen at the word "toys". Well, I was not able to buy him toys too much and kids love toys. No wonder he will get excited from hearing it. I should really work hard and buy him a lot of toys.
"I can apply as your playmate, and you are the boss one. Is it okay?" Zarsuelo added, gaining Layzen's trust.
"Will you really let me play with your toys?" Layzen asked.
The oddball nodded his head quickly. "Of course! My toys can be your toys. I can give you trucks of toys. I have a friend who makes toy—I think we just have to play with my toys." Zarsuelo said when I elbowed him in his right stomach.
"Let's get inside." I said and held Layzen so that we could get inside.
When I opened the door, Lyndon was busy putting the food on the side. "Layzen, can you call Traizle and ask if she is the one who ordered these foods." Lyndon told Layzen, not noticing that I was here already.
And Lyndon is right, there is a lot of food in our table right now. It’s for five to six people already and this idiot bought a lot. "You did not tell me you would order this much." I told Zarsuelo.
Lyndon turned around and saw us. His eyes eventually fell on the oddball Zarsuelo. "W-why did you bring him here?" Lyndon asked worriedly.
"You know him too?" Layzen asked. "That is why I do not want to sleep early! You are sharing stories I do not know about." he added, throwing tantrums.
"He insisted on coming here," I explained to Lyndon and turned to my little brother. "We were not able to tell you about it because it is for adults only. Adult talk is what?" I asked Layzen.
He pouted. "Adult talk is not suitable for kindergarten." Layzen answered.
"Hi, I am Matthew Zarsuelo." Zarsuelo said, introducing himself again.
"Lyndon Cerezo, Traizle's brother." Lyndon answered. "So, this food is yours?" He added.
He nodded. "I ordered this for us." Zarsuelo replied.
I started to prepare our food. The three have already taken their seats. Layzen's busy with Zarsuelo's phone full of games while Zarsuelo is talking to Lyndon.
"You should ask her." Lyndon said but the oddball shook his head and pointed at me. "You guys should persuade her. I am not enough to persuade her." Zarsuelo answered, grinning at me.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Let’s eat now. Layzen, play that later." I told them.
We started eating in silence. It is Sunday and I do not think I can work today. I am already exhausted from dealing with oddball Zarsuelo. I will just work at the convenience store later.
After eating, I excused myself to take a bath. I will just deal with Zarsuelo later. I am going to smack him if I need to.
If I work with him, I must deal with him daily. Wait, he is the owner, so I do not have to see him every day. If that is the case, I will consider it. I can take care of Layzen and bond with them. I will think of this very carefully. When I came out of the comfort room, they were clustered on the bed. It seems like they are not shy around each other anymore.
"Kill Lyndon, Matthew." Layzen suggested.
As I approach the three, Lyndon and Zarsuelo are playing some games on their phones, while Layzen is cheering for Zarsuelo.
I told him, "Zarsuelo, you can go home."
"We are still playing." he answered, still focused on his phone.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
He shot a quick glance at me before turning to his phone again. "Do you plan to work for me now?" He asked back.
I shook my head. "I will think about it for now." I answered.
"Then let's talk later. Our game match is much more important than that." Zarsuelo answered.
He is much more hardheaded than Layzen. I lay on the other side of our bed. I wanted to rest.
"Are you going to sleep?" Layzen asked me as he lay beside me and hugged me.
"Yes, I am tired. Tell him to go out after their game match." I asked.
"Okay, sleep well." Layzen said, without breaking his hug.
If Layzen is with me. I am fine with it. Lyndon is a game addict, so I would not ask him.
I heard Lyndon say, "You got a call."
"Why is he calling when I am in the battle?" Zarsuelo complained. "What? I am playing." he added when someone speaks on the other line.
It looks like he answered the call. "You have a meeting two hours from now." a man answered.
"Okay, I am in a match. Fetch me later, I will send you the address. Do not call me for now—I died! Aww! Oh no! I told you not to distract me when I am playing." Zarsuelo said, complaining.
"Sorry Sir, I will end the call now. Win the battle!" The man answered and even cheered for him.
"Of course! Thank you." Zarsuelo answered.
Hearing the conversation, we can tell that he knows Zarsuelo's attitude.
He is really an oddball billionaire.
