Chapter 43: Chapter 43

Traizle

The next day came, and I went to Lyndon's school. Bryan was suspended for a week. I still didn't allow Lyndon to go to his school and rest.

I am thankful that Zac is willing to help us without asking anything. He told me that he could help Lyndon while taking care of Layzen. That is why I don't have to worry too much.

"Traizle," I looked at the owner of the voice. "Are you okay? You are thinking deeply. Is something bothering you?" Mr. Andrade asked.

"Mr. Andrade, please accept my apologies," I said, standing up to bow to him. "How can I help you?" I asked.

He guided me to sit back down again and sat in front of me.

"Can I join you for a while?" He asked.

I nodded and fixed myself. We are at the cafeteria, and I am having a coffee.

"Do you want anything, Mr. Andrade?" I asked him.

Mr. Andrade smiled. "No need. Thank you for the offer," he answered. "How are you?" He asked.

"I am doing well, how about you? Are you here to meet Mr. Zarsuelo?" I answered.

He nodded. "Yes, then I saw you, lost in your thoughts. I am seeing someone in your face. That is why you look familiar from the first time I met you here," Mr. Andrade shared. "I hope it won't make you uncomfortable." he added.

"No worries, Mr. Andrade. They said that everyone has seven lookalikes." I responded.

"I also heard that one. If my daughter is still here, I think she is the same age as you." he added.

"May I know where she is now?" I asked, curious about his daughter.

His eyes became gloomy. "I did not get to see her. Her mother didn't allow me to see her even once, and she hid her from me." he answered.

I felt a weight settle on my heart for Mr. Andrade. That explains his fatherly smiles every time we meet.

"You are a successful businessman. You can see and ask for her. I am sure that you can sustain her needs." I told him, encouraging him.

He smiled again at me. "Many years have passed. I don't know what she looks like. I was in a complicated family before. My parents told me to marry someone who was from our business line. I have a son, and his mom died because of cancer." he shared.

A wealthy family has a complicated life like ours. The problem doesn't choose its target.

"She is lucky to be your daughter. You are still finding her even though years have passed," I told him. "I hope you will find and reunite with her." I added.

"I hope she can accept me after I find the truth." He replied. "Anyway, thank you for listening to me. Are you done with your coffee? Let me throw it for you." he added.

"You don't have to. It would be discourteous of me to do that." I answered.

Mr. Andrade laughed. "You can go to Mr. Zarsuelo's office and ask him to prepare himself. I already know he is not wearing a business suit, and you need to tell him about me." he said.

"You know about him, Mr. Andrade?" I asked.

"Every businessman knows him well. Let me throw it for you and tell him to prepare himself." Mr. Andrade replied.

"Thank you. I will go up now." I said and put the cup on the table.

"He doesn't need to change. I will go a few minutes after you." he answered.

I quickly walked to the elevator and ran after getting off the elevator.

"Hi, Traizle. Why are you here?" Zarsuelo greeted me.

"You are good," I said. "Mr. Andrade is at the cafeteria. Why does he always come here without setting an appointment with me?" I asked him.

"Don't worry. We are not doing purely business talk. Apart from that, he is fun to talk to. So, I don't mind him visiting me." Zarsuelo answered as he checked himself in the mirror.

"Do you know anything about him?" I asked again, curious after hearing him share his stories with me.

"None, so far. I don't ask for someone's information if he is good or interesting. I want to get to know him in my way," he replied. "Like you, I don't hire an investigator to find your background information. I want to meet and get to know you, so he is." he added.

"So if he is suspicious, you will hire one and know everything about him?" I asked back.

He clicked his hands. "Bingo! I can know every person's information in just a day, but I chose not to." he boasted.

Mr. Andrade knocked after a few minutes. I left for them to talk and went back to my office.

While I was looking for Zarsuelo's schedule, a knock made us stop and look at the door.

"Excuse me, may I talk to Ms. Cerezo?" Aeron said.

I stood up and approached him. I can hear the four murmuring to each other.

"What can I help you with, Aeron?" I asked him.

"Is it okay to talk to you? Did I interrupt something?" He asked back while looking inside. He is looking at my friends, who are also looking at us suspiciously.

I glared at them. They immediately went back to what they were doing.

"I am very sorry about that. Let's talk outside," I told him and started to walk away from our workplace. "I guess we can talk here." I told him.

We are now in the corridor. All the employees are inside their rooms, and only a few are outside.

"I heard that Mr. Zarsuelo was talking to someone in his office, so I decided to talk to you," he started. He picked his phone up and showed me an image. "This is the current report for every branch's evaluations. Three of them are not doing well." he added.

"Can you print these documents and give them to me later? I will show this to him after talking to Mr. Andrade." I replied.

"Did the international marketing team give their reports as well?" Aeron asked.

"Not yet," I answered. "I think they will send it after lunch." I added.
