Chapter 40: Chapter 40

Traizle

Layzen is worried about his brother. He is asking for help to beat the guys who hurt Lyndon.

I let Layzen talk to Zarsuelo. I looked at Lyndon's phone to see if there was anything suspicious. I only saw a screenshot saying he had passed the scholarship application and needed to pass the requirements.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad. When he had good news to tell, this happened to him.

Tomorrow morning, I prepared our breakfast. Layzen went to school with Zac, although he does not like to go to school today because of Lyndon.

"Traizle." I heard Lyndon call me.

I went to his side quickly. "How do you feel? Are you okay?" I asked continuously.

He nodded. "How did I end up here? I was beaten up in the street when I lost consciousness." he answered as he tried to sit up.

"One of my co-workers at the Snack Bar saw you lying unconscious on the street. Fortunately, he knew my number, which is why he immediately helped you and took you home," I explained. "Why did this happen? Did you see who did this to you?" I asked him.

"It's okay." Lyndon replied, avoiding my eyes.

"How can I let this go? You are badly injured. They might do it again." I asked him worriedly.

I can't let this incident go.

"I passed the scholarship application, and they told us to pass the requirements, but here I am, lying and unable to celebrate." Lyndon shared, laughing at himself and avoiding the topic.

"Idiot," I replied. "Congratulations, you deserve to get that, though. We should celebrate it after this." I added, going with the flow.

"Did Layzen go to school already?" He asked.

I laughed, remembering how Layzen cried while talking to Zarsuelo. "Layzen didn't want to attend his school today. Zac forced him to attend by saying they would go to the place they went after his class. He was crying as soon as he saw you. He even cried loudly to Zarsuelo, asking him to help him beat those who hurt you." I shared.

"You should have taken a video." Lyndon replied.

"Do you think I can still do that? I can't help but cry with him as well." I answered and wanted to hit him but helped myself not to.

He is already in pain, and I don't want to add more.

Wriggling his eyebrows. "I guess you love us." Lyndon said, teasing me.

"Of course! You guys are my dearest brothers. How can I laugh when something bad happens to you? I am not that crazy to do that, Idiot." I answered him, and this time I twitched his ears.

"Ah! I know, we know that already!" He complained. "If ever, if ever, okay?" He added.

"If ever, what?" I asked him back.

"If ever you knew that we are not your real brothers. What will you do?" Lyndon asked.

I laughed and twitched his right ear. "Even though that is not true, I still don't care. You guys are still my legitimate brothers. No one can stop me from loving you endlessly." I answered.

"Your actions and words are opposite!" Lyndon complained again. "You can easily say you love us before twitching my ears hard." he added.

"It is because you kept asking nonsense questions," I told him. "If you—oh wait, someone is calling me." I told him and got my phone from the table.

I saw Zarsuelo's name on the caller's name. Did something terrible happen to the company?

"Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked as I answered the phone.

"Ahh, actually, we are now outside of your house. Can you go out and let us in?" Zarsuelo said.

I immediately got up and headed outside to see if he was out. "What... are you guys doing here?" I asked in confusion.

"I brought them with me. Let us in already. Your neighbors might see me." Zarsuelo answered, so I immediately made way for them to come inside.

"Lyndon, your classmates are here." I told Lyndon.

Like my reaction a while ago, that is his reaction now. He was gaping at the sight of them.

Zarsuelo is with his four classmates and his team on their online games.

"How did you guys meet him?" Lyndon asked, stuttering.

"I went to your school and asked them to come with me. They are your team. I also told them that I am MZ." Zarsuelo answered him.

"Why did you tell them about it? I thought—"

"Don't worry about it. Your friends are my friends too. We also discussed that they wouldn't share this news with others." Zarsuelo answered again, cutting Lyndon.

"We had no idea something bad happened to you on your way." the kid with glasses explained.

"You were happy before leaving us because you were excited to tell them that you are now a qualified scholar." the kid with milky skin added.

"Woah? You are?" Zarsuelo commented. "We should celebrate that!" He added excitedly. "But I think we need to settle this first."

"Why did you ask for them when they still have class?" I asked Zarsuelo.

He smiled at me. "Don't worry. I asked for their Professor's agreement. I also told the school about what happened to him," he answered. "I told them I would bring the school down if they never take action." he added, smiling.

I don't know if he is serious or if he is threatening Lyndon's school.

"Before we went here, we went to where Lyndon was found and asked for the CCTV footage. We also checked the footage and identified the bad guys with their help." Zarsuelo shared, preferring Lyndon's classmates.

"Who?" I asked eagerly.

"It was his elementary classmate with his friends." The tallest kid answered.

I turned my head to face Lyndon. "Do they remember you?" I asked worriedly. "Who?" I added.

"That is why I never wanted to tell you who did this to me." Lyndon answered.

"We can also tell you already that Bryan is always bullying him in our school. Lyndon doesn't want us to tell you about this." the kid with braces shared.

One of them found us.

What should we do?
