Chapter 21: Chapter 21
Traizle
This place is too familiar. It's been years since we left this place, so why am I here again?
Did I ever go here with my eyes closed? Did I ever walk here while sleeping? Sleepwalking? Isn't it? Where are Lyndon and Layzen?
"Traizle! Layzen is very sick, let's go to the hospital!" Lyndon—no, a young Lyndon appeared.
I was about to answer him when my younger self approached Lyndon. I can see my younger self. Can they see me too? Am I dreaming of our past... again?
"Where are Mom and Dad?" The younger version of me asked the young Lyndon.
"Dad left with bags in him. Mom's gone wild inside of their room. I don't know what to do." The young Lyndon answered, almost crying but keeping himself from crying and being strong.
I followed them as they entered the house, our old house. Mom is still inside the house, screaming and breaking the glasses inside while crying. The two went to see Layzen, who was burning up with a fever. They don't know what to do with Layzen. They are panicking and scared at the same time.
My younger self knocked on my mom's door, telling Layzen he was very sick. "Let him die!" Mom growled.
3 words, but enough to halt us. We can't move from our position. I don't know why. What am I doing here?
"Traizle!"
I open my eyes, showing Lyndon and Layzen by my side. Lyndon's worried face. That was also his reaction a while ago in my dream. "Are you okay?" Lyndon asked me, helping me to sit.
Layzen stood up and got me a glass of water. "Thank you," I told Layzen after drinking the glass of water he got. "I am okay, sorry for worrying you guys. I had a nightmare." I added.
I checked Layzen's forehead to see if he was okay or not. When I felt that he was not sick, I felt relieved. "Did you dream of it again?" Lyndon asked me, worried again.
"What are you guys talking about?" Layzen asked, since he does not know about that.
I nodded to Lyndon. He knows everything. I have no reason to hide anything from him. If there is an award for being the best brother and sister tandem, I am sure that we will get one or more. "It's about the past that happened," I explained to Layzen. "You don't know what happened before because you were still a baby at that time." I added.
"You can tell me what happened before since I am a big boy now." Layzen said, eager to know the stories he does not know.
"You are still a kid. The story is not suitable for your age." Lyndon commented that it made Layzen frown.
I embrace Layzen and kiss his forehead. "We will tell you everything if you are older enough, okay?" I told Layzen. "As of now, the stories are not good for you. I hope you can understand us." I added, trying to explain it to him.
Layzen smiled before hugging me back again. "I understand it. I will wait until I get older enough so that I can handle those stories." Layzen answered.
He is mature, and I can't help but be proud of him.
"We should get ready, Layzen." Lyndon said.
When I look at the clock, it's 5:30 in the morning. Their class starts at 7 AM. I stood up and helped them prepare themselves before myself.
I can't help but not to be feel at ease after having that dream again. From time to time, I will have that dream as if it's a replay button. After sending the two, I started walking to my work. Since it is near, I also don't have to ride a taxi or bus there.
I arrived at the Grand Finance after only thirty minutes of walking. "Morning Traizle! Sleep on the wrong side?" Tyler asked when I entered the company.
I halted and found myself in the mirror. "Do I look okay today?" I even asked Tyler if there is something wrong with my face. "Sleep on the wrong side." I added, confirming his question.
"You look okay, don't worry. Rest while you can." Tyler said.
"I will, thank you." I answered as I went to the cafeteria.
I was not able to eat because I was still bothered a while ago. I will drink coffee and eat some buns if they have it. I sat on the vacant table and drank my coffee. I also asked for buns, which thankfully they had. I think they have everything we ask inside, the old woman even gave me fillings, the expensive one.
"You did not take your breakfast?" Zarsuelo whispered behind me. I was surprised and glared at him in return. "You don't look too well today. Did something happen?" he asked worriedly—no not worried.
He is gobbling my buns with the fillings inside already, knowing that it is chocolate, a sweet. He will definitely eat those. "Hmm. It's good. I should eat this as well every morning." he complimented. "You, okay?" He asked afterward.
I nodded. "Yeah, I am okay. I just had a nightmare a while ago." I shared.
"You did? I won't call for you, so rest until you feel okay." said Zarsuelo while eating.
Gulping my coffee, Zarsuelo gave me a bun with fillings inside that he made. "Here, eat that. You need to eat." he said.
I get the buns and eat them. He is busy filling the buns with chocolate. Fortunately, I finished my breakfast without Zarsuelo pestering me. He even volunteered to bring back the chocolate because while he was walking to the counter, he was eating the it. His high-paid ideas and tactics.
I headed to our office room, while Zarsuelo headed straight to his office. He probably asked for sweets at the counter since he didn’t tried to bother me. I will let him go for now.
I started looking for his schedule today. Opening the files, he previously gave me holding information about every major financial institution in our country, as well as other partnerships, investments, and investors. Although he is acting crazy, he can really still manage to run this company.
