I could feel my wolf fighting to come out and take control and kill whoever was insulting Jessica, my suit was tearing up, fist clenched in unexplainable anger at my mom.

All these emotions were like a roller coaster in my body.

"Why are you dancing with this thing? I thought you better than that", she had said earlier.

Then I forget to explain that my mum feels we and people with black skin color are not equals, she thought to me that they were below us not Worthy to be breathing the same air.

She was even that cruel to reject her mate because of his skin color with the help of a powerful witch.

"How dare you".

Before my wolf could snap furthermore at her and give her what she deserve for ruining my night more than these, I felt a touch on my skin that lit my whole body on fire calming my wolf-like a mother calm it, baby.

The whole room was quiet, the music was no longer playing making the room full of life turn into a graveyard everyone waiting with anticipation to see what I do to my mother for her disrespect.

I could see my father trying to control my mother from angering me any further but only not so much he could she was acting like a vile snake.

"How could you leave and not bring her with you as your mate, you left Abigail crying for this thing, she's your future wife, you better start treating her as one", she demanded while I scoffed at her my wolf patient all ready thin.

Earlier I had left Jessica to seat alone much to the annoyance of my wolf to get rid of Abigail her stupidness.

"Who do you think you are? Just because you birthed me doesn't give you the right to batch in here and demand from me, if you want me to mate that bitch so much my don't you do it your self and turned lesbian am sure dad won't mind just leave me the fuck alone, if I see you and Abigail come any close to us and going to tear you into shed ", my wolf pointed my hand to her to get his message across, my eyes were black, claws already out of my hand begging to design her face with it.

Her mouth was hanging with shock and left in anger my dad not even bothering to go after her.

Well, she should be.

But she wasn't the only person looking shocked, Jessica was standing by my side speechless at my defending her from my mom, she probably thought I will even take my mom's side.

Well, I wouldn't blame her, I was surprised at my wolf behavior, two hands held my body, I could feel the anger subside and a wave of calmness washed over me, my wolf returned to the back of my head given me control.

Why did my wolf act like that? I have never seen him like that.

"Sorry for the interruption, please everyone continue with your night enjoy yourself",

Like a spell removed, loud howl and growls were shouted in thankfulness, everyone resumed like the party was interrupted and boomed ever more than before.

My dad walked up to me giving me and Jessica weird looks.

"Son why don't you introduce me to your lovely mate".

I could feel Jessica's body stiffed at my dad's words.

I won't blame her this was the second time tonight that the word mate has been said to us.

"No sir, I can assure you that we do not mate and are far from being one",

My father stood there awkwardly analyzing us with his green eyes I thankfully inherited.

"Ooooohhhhh", "well my name is Jason or you can call me dad and am this strong head father", he spoke sincerely to her informally like she was his daughter.

My dad was always a hardened man seeing him acting soft was kind of new.

"And my name is Jessica but you can call me daughter", she replied with a trace of tear begging to come out but she hurriedly pushed it back up With her hands.

What was that all about?

My dad went towards her pulling her into a fatherly hug, patting her back, with a kiss on the forehead he withdrew him self giving her one of those rare smiles.

"I wished she was your mate, she has a good heart", he said in my heart, patting my back.

"Jess, I will see you soon, son take care of her".

With that, he excused himself in the direction my mother went.

"Are you sure is your father, he is the sweetest man I ever met".

I felt myself getting jealous at her word.

Am I jealous of my father?

"Whatever", she rolled her eyes at me.

"Alpha my mate feeling weak and I'm taking her home", Johnathan said through the mind link.

"OK, you are dismissed for the night, I too will be coming now with Jessica", that we disconnected the mind link.

"Mia not feeling well, Johnathan took her home already".

"What how is she, hope she's OK, I feel like a bad friend right now", she said panicking.

"Stop worrying she's fine, let get going it's late", she took my hands with hers unconsciously with mine, dragging me towards the direction where the car was parked.

Not like am complaining, enjoying the unexplainable sparks as we touch.
