I ran for a long ass time, my paws touched the earth creating dust along the way.

How long have been running in this unknown forest but I didn't care because time seems to stop as I did so.

I kept thinking about my life, from my dead parents to my unknown mate, and to why those annoying bitch words affected me and my wolf earlier.

I took in my surrounding and realized that have gone too deep if possible out of the pack land territory.

"How long have we been running?" I asked my wolf anxiously.

"About an hour, " she replied.

"We need to hear back, can you try tracking us back to the packhouse using our scent through the direction we came from."

"Am not sure but I can try."

Suddenly before she could track our direction back, I heard a vicious growl behind us, using my wolf vision I saw a big black wolf with angry red eyes, drool dripping down its mouth, must be a rogue (bad wolf).

Then it growled at me again probably called its fellow rogues to come feed on me.....certainly a rogue.

is this how I end?

OK, can this get any more cliche.....A girl runs into the forest alone and meets a vicious rogue then gets eaten only this time there's no one to save her.

I didn't realize the wolf has moved from its position toward me until I felt a bite on my left shoulder.

I hissed in pain, making a wolf-cry noise...

"Come on we can take this disgusting rogue down," said my wolf trying to act strong, am not going to just be some damsel in distress.

The stupid wolf was coming again only this time aiming for my leg but I quickly dodged it and tried biting it on its neck but it escaped quickly landing on my body...guess I'm dying today but I have not met my mate, life is so unfair.

But suddenly the stupid wolf was thrown off me crashing into the tree, An unknown gigantic black wolf ran towards the rogue wolf tearing it apart ruthlessly to death without mercy.

Mercy!

Shawn Mendez's song popped into my head and I had to shake my head and tell myself that now isn't great that to be thinking of songs.

I turned my head just to see a massive gigantic midnight black wolf thrice my size paired with the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen standing in front of me, I could feel my wolf fangirling at the sight. How cliche a wolf in shining armor saves the girl or rather the wolf in distress from dying.

At least am alive!

The wolf started moving toward me but instead of me moving back and running for my life, I laid on the dirty forest ground stupidly still.....like a wolf in love and probably under a spell.

For some reason I felt safe and calm in the miss of this unknown familiar with green eyes.....my attacker forgot.

The unknown black wolf put his gigantic head under my wolf bottom trying to get me up but I couldn't... It will take ten minutes for my injured shoulder to heal.

Getting to the point, the unknown wolf did the last thing I expected, he put his big head at the crook of my neck and started cuddling me...surprising I was also enjoying the scent of this wolf ....weird... I don't know how long we stayed like this and my shoulder already healing faster than normal.

The wolf immediately stood up and ran away as if realizing how comfortably it was cuddling me.

I also stood up from the dirty ground tracking mine and unknown wolf footsteps back to the pack.

Earlier in training

"come on guys, even my grandma can run better than these", I said to my young warriors who were running laps but they just lazily groan in reply.

We were currently training on the training field with, I been in charge of course.

(my beta was supposed to do this but being the lazy ass I'm, I sent in instead to sign those documents on my behalf..... Yes I know I'm meant to do it, like I said I can do whatever I want and make someone do whatever I want).

"Now pair yourself into two groups each, I want to test your fighting skills and stamina in both human and wolf form ", I said to the newbies, I wanted every in my pack from sixteen years and above to be able to fight both boys and girls everyone is equal.

They hurriedly did as told, forming two groups each among themself, normally a werewolves shift when they are fourteen and make use of two years before they get mature and start training.

"Now in this two groups formed I need a volunteer as a mini leader, as werewolves we tend to follow instruction to leave peacefully, a wolf who doesn't follow the instruction or without a leader are rogues which are dangerous", I told them, I could see the determination in their eyes, there wolf fighting to make their alpha proud already.

Two young boys came forward both were putting on shorts. But suddenly I felt eyes lingering on my body and that annoying scent that I van now scene from miles away which make me involuntary shiver.

Turning my head to see a dark chocolate skin ( suddenly craving for some) girl staring at my bare body shamelessly, a smirk formed on my face and I winked at her......woah were the that come from I HATE BLACK GIRLS.

I could see her blushing even with her dark skin, then mia spoke to her and she blushed again before they left together.......why I'm I still staring at her back like a creep.

I felt hands tap my shoulder snapping me out of my thought.

"Alpha, sorry but we have been calling you for about a minute now but it seems like you space out", the young wolf spoke nervously....yeah he should be scared but instead of feeling angry at him, I felt a blush creeping towards my ear......God this is embarrassing..... I felt like I was caught doing something bad, like a hormonal teenage boy who just confess his love to his crush.

I cleared my throat, "OK, let's get back to training", that we continued.

After about two hours of intensive training, I suddenly felt like something bad is happening to someone dear to me, as far as I was consigned both my parents are in a safe house after retiring as Alpha king and queen and I don't have any siblings so who might be in danger.

My wolf was becoming restless making me paranoid. "Alex we have to go now, outside our border someone is in danger now", my wolf said to me in my head.

"Why, what is going on, who is in danger", I asked back.

''I don't know but if you move your feet now we might find out",he growled back at me

Without making much time I immediately transformed into my huge midnight Wolf running towards our pack border my paw hitting the earth like a volcano, it will only take me two minutes to get there.

The familiar annoying scent was becoming stronger, suddenly I felt a pain in my shoulder.......what happening.

Passing my pack border, I saw a medium-sized rogue with red eyes moving towards a defenseless female wolf....probably trying to finish her off. I recognized the wolf thanks to my alpha power but unfortunately, it was Jessica and she didn't recognize me.

My wolf immediately took over attacking the rogue sending them flying in the air and crashing into a tree to land on the earth.

My wolf suddenly started moving towards the girl to see if she was alright, for me only to see if it was Jessica .....what was she doing here? how did she get here?

Wow....her wolf is beautiful....white furs with yellow eyes.... the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen.

But I suddenly felt my wolf body cuddling with her wolf .....for some weird reason I felt like I can say this for the rest of my life.

With that foolish thought, I regained control of my wolf, stood up from the earth, and ran back to the packhouse knowing she was safe and following in my footsteps.

First I winked at her and then I cuddle with her.....I hope I don't do any foolish thing next.
