Writer's POV

While Avatia sat reminiscing the kiss, her best friend, all the way in New York City was having an interesting conversation with her. Or so did Draya think.

"I miss you so much girl, I can't wait for you to get back from Ohio. Our dorm room feels so empty without you." Draya pressed the send button and a reply came in no time.

"Don't worry Dray, I'll be back on Sunday evening. I bought you so many things." The person who had Avatia's phone replied.

Draya smiled as she grabbed more chocolate chips and stuffed them in her mouth. "Of course, were you even planning on flying back here empty-handed? Don't even think or I'll send you back. I feel bad that we can't have our FaceTime session. You better change your phone before coming back."

And as always, a quick reply came back. "I'm gonna get a new phone before I come back. I miss you so much, sis."

"I miss you more honeybunch. GTG, my class starts in twenty minutes." Draya pressed the send button again and kept her phone aside. She missed her best friend every single day even though they sent messages to each other every day.

Well, that's what Draya thought. This was a similar case with Kenny. He always received messages from 'Avatia' every single day and they would chat for a long. But face-timing was never possible. The person who had Avatia's phone was that smart.

AVATIA'S POV

Today was Saturday already and from what I knew, I was going to go back to New York tomorrow morning. Ana told me she'd taken the day off so that we could go out before I traveled. How sweet. I couldn't wait to go back to the people I cherished the most. I couldn't wait to see my mom. I smiled to myself as I wore my peach-colored jumpsuit.

"I want us to go to the beach. After we're done from the mall though." Ana said as she did her makeup.

I turned and smiled at her. "I'll love that too. That way, you can flaunt your flawless caramel skin."

Ana laughed out loud. "Caramel skin, yes. But flawless?" She laughed again. "I don't think so. I do have stretch marks on my thighs but I don't give a flying fuck, I'm wearing my sexy bikini."

I laughed. "You're a case, Ana. I'm gonna miss you so much when I leave. I'll take your number when I'm going, okay."

Ana looked at me from head to toe and raised her brows. "Were you planning on leaving without taking my number in the first place?"

***** DREIDAN'S POV

I looked at my Rolex and sighed at what Roberto was telling me. I was pissed.

They'd caught Garret Monthilvo but he was claiming innocent about the kidnap of Grace. Plus some random fucker just bought all of the new merchandise that just hit the market. The latter was not a problem as I was gonna get the merchandise immediately after I land in New York. The former was the problem. If Garret was innocent, then it only meant one thing. I had an unknown enemy from afar and that was dangerous. I had to track down this person before he or she hurt Avatia. She was the main target and I knew that. If not, why would someone kidnap her mom?

I pressed my fingers on my temple. This was not good. I had to leave for New York as soon as possible.

***** AVATIA'S POV

Ana was hell-bent on me buying everything in the mall. We'd just finished buying some jean skirts and pants when we decided to have lunch. I don't know why I felt like someone was following us. I looked behind but saw no one suspicious. Maybe I'm just tired and hallucinating. Yeah. Maybe.

We reached a small restaurant and decided to eat there. I still had that weird feeling that someone was following us. I looked over my shoulder again and to my greatest dismay, there was a hoodie guy, dressed in all black, with black shades looking at me. My heart fell into my stomach. I immediately tapped Ana's shoulder. "Ana someone is stalking us. Over there." I turned to discreetly show her the guy but he was gone. Every place looked quite normal.

"Ava I think you're just tired from all this shopping. But now we're gonna eat and rest a little, then continue our shopping. You can't leave Italy empty-handed girl." Ana said and pulled me into the chic restaurant. But I know what I saw. And what I saw was not good. I had to tell Dre as soon as possible.

As I ate my food, I couldn't shake off the creepy feeling of being watched. Who was that man? Was he here to kidnap me the way my mom was? Oh no!

Ana and I finally finished my shopping and she was up for us going to the beach. I wasn't in the mood again but she forced me to it, saying Dreidan was going to join us as well. That eased my mind. With him being around, I knew I was going to be safe. We headed to a somewhat private beach. There were only a few people around. Ana and I changed into our swimsuits and headed for the water. It was cold at first since the sun was setting but my body got used to the temperature. We swam for a while till I noticed a tall figure from a distance watching us. Even amid people, Dre still stood out. He was watching us with a hint of a smile. Shockingly, he wore a white shirt and the buttons were undone. Oh, his amazing body. A sweet feeling ran down my spine just looking at him.

"Dre, don't be such a jerk. Come swim with us." Ana shouted, splashing some water on me. "Hurry up Dre. I know you want to show off your sexy body. Come on, I know Avatia's dying to see it."

"Heyyyyyy. Don't say that." I shouted as I splashed even more water on her.

Dre chuckled as he made his way towards us and took off his shirt. I swallowed spit I didn't know was in my mouth. My goodness. He sure is a hunk. A very very sexy one at that.

What has gotten into you Avatia Kim Hilton? Having such thoughts about your boss.

He then took off his black pants and I was shocked to see him looking directly at me. He smirked as he dived into the water and swam over to me. "Hi princess. How did your shopping go?" He said with a cheeky smile.

He sure was in a good mood today. I smiled back. But then I remembered the stalker. I would save that for later. "Good good. What about you. How was your day?"

"Seeing you right now, my day is perfect." He said and smirked again.

Ana who was just a few inches away cooed and splashed water on us. We all laughed and had a good time. "I think we should head home now. Avatia needs to pack her stuff." Dre said as he walked out of the water. We were the only ones on the beach and it was getting dark. Looking at Dre's almost naked body,

I knew I was going to have a hard time when we go back to America and everything goes back to normal.

I walked over to him and he held my hand, entwining our fingers. He leaned over and whispered something that made me blush beyond words. "You know princess, I'm gonna miss all this when we go back. I'm gonna miss the moments we had together. You may not believe me, but they're special."
