Phoebe's P.O.V
For the longest time, I have always been thinking that my life is over, when the gun was triggered, and the pain shot through my body, I thought I was finally dead.
But I guess I was wrong.
I can hear the noise of someone talking from afar. I slowly flutter my eyes open, and the first thing I see when I open my eyes is the white ceiling from above.
Am I dead? Is this heaven?
But why does this place look like a bedroom? Well, maybe because it is a bedroom. It doesn't take me a long time to regain my consciousness. I am laying in a bed, in an actual soft bed with a mattress on top of me covering half of my body.
When I am about get up from the bed, the pain shot through the lower part of my stomach, bringing along the memories of what happened.
Gosh, I was so dumb.
Jumping in front of a bullet like that, I didn't know what I was thinking at that time.
Where, where is my suitcase? Oh gosh, no, what if someone takes that suitcase, all of Anna's money and my clothes are all in there.
Anxiety and panic attack begins rushing through me.
My life is over. I think to myself, and at this point, I can't even feel my muscle anymore because of the panic in my head. I try to take a deep breath because feeling this kind of emotion is extremely uncomfortable, and nothing good ever comes out of it.
After I take several deep breaths, I begin to calm down a little, and try to observe my surrounding for a bit.
I slowly realize that there is a Japanese woman standing near me and she looks at me with a smile on her face.
She immediately walks toward the door, and then she shouts something in Japanese.
She approaches me and tries her best to say something in English.
"You are awake, how are you feeling?" I can see that she is not exactly fluent in English, since her accent and pronunciation is a bit strange, but I understand what she is saying just fine.
"Where am I?" I ask her, and she speaks again.
"You are on the house of Rinkou Sama."
"Who?" I ask her again, before my attention gets averted to the sound of men getting inside the room. There are around four men and a woman getting in, two of the men are old looking, one is a younger looking man, and the one in the front is actually the guy from before. The one who almost got shot.
Now that I look at him clearly, he doesn't look 100% native, his eyes and hair are a lighter shade of brown than I thought he had, and his facial feature doesn't resemble native Japanese people.
The woman is certainly Japanese but she has straight dyed blonde hair with bangs.
"You are awake." The man from before approach me and stands beside my bed. I look at him in slight fear, simply because I am recalling the way he was able to shoot three man at the quick speed.
The man speaks to the woman I saw here and they seem to be talking about me. The woman smiles toward him and giving him some kind of nod of approval, the man turns his head to look at me and smile.
"Your wound has been treated, there is no need to worry." he speaks again with fluent English using Japanese accent.
I see, my guess is the woman is a doctor who was appointed to look after me, now that makes sense.
"Where is my suitcase?" The sentence is the first thing that comes out from my mouth.
"Oh, the suitcase, here it is." The woman who has been in the room with me for a while makes her way to the closet area and brings out my suitcase, as soon as it appears on my eyes, I try to stand up to reach it.
"No, you are still hurt, it's better if you lay down for now, don't worry, we are not going to take away your suitcase from you." The man speaks again.
I rub my eyes, to prevent any kind of unnecessary tears from falling, and put on a confused expression.
"Who are you?" I ask him, and then, he speaks something to the rest of them and all of them bow down to him before slowly walking out from the room, leaving just me and him alone in the huge room.
Can you imagine how awkward this situation is? Because it is for me, I guess I never like being alone with a man ever since I was young, especially not in a stranger's place like this.
"My name is Yuuto, Yuuto Rinkou, in Japanese we use our last name in the front, so they call me Rinkou Yuuto, but you can just call me Yuu."
He slowly sits down on the edge of the bed and look at me in the eyes.
"You, what is your name?"
"Phoebe, Phoebe Rousseau."
"Phoebe, that is a pretty name, are you by any chance French?" He asks me and I nod my head.
"That's wonderful, I am half French as well, my mother is French" he speaks as if he has known me for a long time, I mean, do people usually tell strangers things like that about themselves?
Well, but now I know why he has slight western feature on him,
I feel slightly uncomfortable, but he seems to notice that, and I try to move back to create more distance between the two of us, and he gives me a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything." He speaks carefully, as if he doesn't want to startle me.
"Phoebe, why are you here in Tokyo? You look like you are lost somehow. Are you on a trip, or something?" He asks like a curious boy.
"I need to go home." I tell him straightforwardly, and he has a slight frown on his face, as if he is showing sign of displease with my request.
"As soon as you are completely recovered, then we will help you go back to France." he speaks calmly, and he holds out his hand to touch my hand.
But my question is, how is he going to do that, what kind of power does he have to help me go home, especially as soon as Edgar finds out about this, I'm pretty sure he is going to be crazy mad about it.
I hope he doesn't go chasing after me, but why do I have a feeling he is currently chasing me ?
"Thank you for saving me earlier."
I quickly pull back my hand from his and he stands up from where the bed.
"I know, why don't I invite you to have dinner with me tonight, don't worry, I won't take you anywhere far from here, we will just have dinner in my home, it's going to me a simple and home styled dinner, what do you say about that?"
I don't know how I'm supposed to reply to that, but I'm afraid if I reject it, I would sound really rude, after all, they took me here and are willing to treat me, even though the sound wasn't exactly my fault.
I nod my head and he smiles.
"I will call you for dinner later, okay, meanwhile, take some rest first, and if you ever need anything, just click on the red button beside your bed, someone will come to assist you in anything."
I nod my head again and he walks away toward the door.
"What should I do?" I ask myself, I feel completely lost, it's like a situation where I just escaped from the lion and end up meeting a tiger.
Right, that is a great representation, although I'm not sure whether or not these people are bad people. After all, this man just shot three people a while back.
How come no one comes after him for that? What about the police? Gosh, it's not making any sense, except if... well, what are the odds of that.
But it is possible, after all I have met one of them.
What have I gotten myself into?

Edgar's P.O.V
"Where are you going to look for her in this huge city, Edgar? Maybe she has even gone to the airport and go back to France, why don't you just let her go back to her old life?"
Nikolai asks me calmly, if it was Ivan, I would have beat him, but since it's Nikolai, I know he has no bad intention toward me and he is saying that purely out of concern.
Viktor and Matvey are on the back seat while Nikolai is driving the car we borrowed from Mr Yama, we are planning to go buy a few things first since I have a feeling we are going to be here for a while looking for Phoebe.
This is our first day in Tokyo since we arrived yesterday, and based on Mr. Yama, there are a few places we may be able to visit in order to find her, even though Tokyo is a busy town, someone like her should be recognized by people.
"We are going to search the whole town, starting from restaurants, police stations and the airport, maybe also a few hotels to see if she has checked in one of them, she stands out easily so people would immediately recognize her if they have seen her, anything that act as a clue to find her would be useful one way or another."
"You never act like this, but I guess we'll help you, anyway, since you are our leader."
"Thank you."
"Are we just mishearing things? What did you say? Can you repeat that again?" Viktor speaks in a surprised tone, Nikolai and Matvey just chuckle looking at his expression.
"Shut up."
"Phoebe, I'll find you, and when I do, I'm never letting you escape again."
