Chapter 33: Chapter 33

After laughing for some minutes, I dried the tears of joy that made their way out of my eyes before sitting in front of the white wispy semi-transparent figure ghost of Selene in front of me.

Although I knew she was just a soul with no human figure, it still seemed like she was alive and was the one in front of me with all of her emotions intact.

"You can see through these walls of this place, and I am sure you see how your beloved mate cried and starved himself yesterday, which was your death remembrance day. He was more pained that you hadn't visited him in the dream for once." I paused and grinned while she stared at me ferociously.

Her eyes were glowing red, and you could only tell how deep her hatred for me was. If given a chance, she was definitely going to shred me into pieces, but that chance would never come.

She is already dead and can't even attack me even if she is released. I kept her here so she wouldn't help anyone through dreams or hide from seeing the calamity she had brought on this peaceful pack.

"Do you know how guilty you make me feel right now? This was once a peaceful place before I came in. Now I feel like I am the one causing all this! Jaden had been drowned in immense sadness and pure hatred for Ava without knowing the killer was right in front of him." She lamented in a weak tone as she was already exhausted.

"I think we should be more worried about Ava's cruel fate. We will all sit back and watch the most interesting drama." My lips curled into a smirk again as a wave of excitement rushed through me.

"It won't be a cruel fate unless you make it one. Jaden's dark past and Ava's true identity should be kept secret from each other, please." She pleaded with a heartbroken tone that couldn't stop making me smile.

"You know, I won't accept your plea... I will wait till their love is about to bloom. After all the struggles and fights, after they have passed through fire just to be together, I will unlock that chapter which would tear them apart. They will become enemies, fighting against each other to death!" I shouted, spreading my arms victoriously.

"When Ava and Jaden begin to fight each other, who else would rescue the wolves and Lycan from the demon ambush? No one. Absolutely no one! They will die in large numbers and the others will become slaves all because of you, Selene!!!" I bellowed, and the rattling of her chain filled the air.

Her cries of agony and pain joined in as her wispy figure shook vigorously, trying to free itself from the magic chain binding her. I know how much she longed for freedom to go out and help her daughter and mate from destruction, but I won't let that happen.

Never!

"I am the one that offended you. Why..."

"Save your strength because there is more misery and torment about to befall Ava, which will pierce your heart more terribly. You have to save your tears now because you will need them in a while when bewailing over her shattered life." I cut in and burst into another round of laughter as I made my way to the exit.

Prince Jaden and Ava were mates and would grow to be the most powerful creatures of the moon goddess. She must have mated them to create a balance between hatred and love, and also life and death.

She must have foreseen the devil's plan to ambush and rule over the werewolf kingdom, so she invested so much power in both to unite and rule both the werewolf and Lycan kingdoms, bringing everlasting protection and destruction to the demons.

How disappointed she'd be to learn that Jaden wasn't patient enough and that, in his desire for power at a young age, he'd done something that would make Ava his enemy for life.

Now I have nothing to worry about. Just sit back and watch how everything plays out.

Brian's POV

My daughter had never been the same again since the day the Lycan prince stepped foot into this pack. She has turned from the lively and extrovert person she used to be into a gloomy and sad girl.

It was like a big blow to her when the Prince slapped her, as she never expected it, not from someone she had always longed to be with.

Diana, my only daughter, has always been known for her good manners and pure heart. Every one in the pack adores her, and all the men wish in their hearts for the moon goddess to make her their mate.

The moment she learnt of Jaden, the Lycan prince, who was so handsome but without a heart to love, she developed deep feelings of attraction towards him and wouldn't stop disturbing me to set up a plan that would bring him to her.

She was overly excited when she heard he was finally coming to the pack. I planned with the Lycan king, who forced his son to represent him in the meeting held here, but had made him come late at night.

Who would have known that it would all end up like this? If I had had the slightest idea, I wouldn't have made him come close to this pack.

My daughter had cried for three days due to the heartbreak from his rejection and had begun to stay almost all day in her room. Even when she comes out, she will be entirely gloomy and talk less.

My daughter is so beautiful and charming like her mother, my mate, yet Jaden ended up pushing her away like trash, which broke her heart to pieces, especially as she fell for him at first sight.

She tried everything she could do to at least make Jaden give her a smile, but it was all in vain as he kept growling and frowning all the time.

I feel so sad for her, but there is just nothing I can do. Even my mate, who has the witch bloodline and has been performing magic for years, couldn't create a love charm to get Jaden's heart as he isn't a mere creature who could easily be manipulated by charms.

The door of my palace opened at that moment, and my beautiful mate stepped in with a drawn face. She walked over and sat beside me on the throne.

"So there is no way to make Jaden fall for our daughter?" I sighed, and she hissed, burying her face in her palm.

We had given our daughter all she needed in life, and we had offered it to her so easily. As the ruler of this pack, we were able to get anything for her except the man she had accepted to love.

Even when Jaden slapped her, we couldn't dare confront him because that would be a death wish, especially as he was enraged.

It all seemed like my mate's love charm made him hate Diane instead of loving her.

"Jaden has inner powers which kept firing back every one of my magic moves. His heart is too dark to fall in love, and I am sure he will never be interested in any girl in this world." She shrugged, with a heavy sigh.

"Mom, you are a liar." We both heard our daughter yell from outside in a sad tone, forcing us to dart our eyes towards the door.

The door of the palace was opened at that moment, and she walked in with a grimace and tears on her face.

"Mom, you and dad are big liars." she repeated, grumbling, and leaving us more confused as we stared at her in bewilderment.

"How?." My mate demanded while I peered at Diane, wondering if she was playing a prank.

"I just heard a rumour that Jaden had found the wolf girl that caught his attention." She announced, and it struck me like a bomb as my jaw dropped with both of my eyes wide in shock.

"Who is she?" We both exclaimed in unison, but she hissed at us and looked away, folding her arms.

"Tell us who could do that. I am sure...."

"I don't want to hear anything from liars! How will you lie to me that he won't have any interest in any girl in this world!" She bawled, turning back at us with her eyes covered with tears. That really broke my heart.

"My daughter, I am a powerful witch, and I really checked his heart, but saw no trace of love or care. He doesn't...

"I don't want to hear anything else. Just give me the powers to kill her. Or, kill her yourselves." My daughter, who I thought was a saint, spoke out bluntly, leaving me frozen in shock.
