Chapter 13: Chapter 13

SELENE

I was wearing a frown when I woke up this morning. I was wearing a frown. The bird didn't show up yesterday, despite my expectation that it would. The fact that the bird didn't and that, if he had seen the bird, it should have arrived by now perplexed me. Since the bird was unable to locate him today, I knew it would return. Where is he? I couldn't help wondering. What happens if he's imprisoned or something? As I considered it, my breathing became tight. I could feel the darkness creeping into my eyes, and I couldn't help but worry about him.

I had assumed that I would have a way to communicate with him, but that has since altered because I am not receiving a response from him. My eyes went around as I considered all the possible things that could have occurred to him while he was in the cell. Despite my strong belief that he would see my letter and the fact that he did not respond,

I had concerns. I couldn't resist trying to come up with a plan to visit him. I'll do everything for him, no matter what. I'm willing to go to any lengths to get in touch with him. I heard wings flapping while I was still deep in meditation. When I opened my eyes and saw the bird fly inside my room, I was astounded.

I recognized it right away as the bird I had sent Lucius. As soon as I saw the note connected to its legs, my eyes opened in shock, and a smile appeared on my face. As soon as I realized it was the identical one I had sent him, I scowled. I had no doubt that the bird had returned without giving him the note. That he was unable to see the letter made me sad.

The fact that my fiancé was snatched from her upsets me. I wrote a letter because I felt the need to let my frustration out, but before I could leave the room, I realized that it wasn't in its original place.

Approaching the bird that was placed in its cage, I took the letter that appeared to be very different from the one I had written.

I removed the letter from the bird's grasp and proceeded to unfold it. I scowled, wearing a disapproving expression on my face. Although the letter's content remained the same, it appeared to be slightly altered since I could feel something grazing my palms beneath it. When I flipped the letter over, I discovered another one on the reverse. What I saw in the letter startled me. I was certain that the letter reached him satisfactorily.

I couldn't help but try not to flush as a smile started to appear on my face. I was relieved that he could hear me and that we could finally communicate. I'm happy that I asked the Alpha for assistance, and I'm also happy that he did.

The contents of the letter made me flush as I read them. Our emotions are the primary theme of the content. It has various connotations. As I read the letter, I could feel my heart beating quickly. When I read that, it felt like he was right there with me. While I read the letter, I envisioned him telling me all of this. I couldn't help but be impressed by his ability to express all of the meaning in the message. I was crying the entire time I was reading the letter, as I discovered when I felt something cold touch my face and touched it with my palm.

The end of the letter made me laugh out loud. He scrawled it on the back of the note I wrote, saying he had wasted a lot of paper and wouldn't go ask for another. Every time I sent him a letter, he asked me to include at least two fresh sheets of paper for him to write on.

After receiving the letter, I felt as though my worries had been eased since I was relieved that he had responded and, more importantly, that he was not being mistreated. Why his mate would take him to her pack when she didn't want to hurt him was beyond me. I was aware that I would be late for work if I continued to think back on what needed to be done. I was positive that the Alpha would be upset with me if I didn't get up to take my bath.

I'm Selene Temptress, and I apologize for the delayed introduction. I am an omega member of the Blood Moon Pack, age 23. The weakest members of a pack, known as omegas, are forced to perform menial tasks in order to remain in the pack. There are several Omegas in my pack, and we follow a schedule. My best friend and I are at work today. I was unconcerned even though my parents, who are still alive, severed all contact with me since they detested the fact that I am an omega. That's all I have to say for now; you will learn more about me later.

After taking a bath, I tied a towel around my waist and left the bathroom. I used a towel to pat my body dry before putting on my clothes.

I headed out of my room, and as soon as I saw Sandra approaching, I knew she was here to summon me for duty. After exchanging pleasantries, we moved into the kitchen to get to work.

"What's wrong with you, Selene? As we were washing the kitchen utensils, Sandra remarked, "You have been smiling since the morning." "Sandra, guess what?" As we were leaving the kitchen, I asked her, and she gave me a sharp look.

"You know I'm not that good at guessing," she said, her eyes brimming with curiosity.

"Okay, then. I showed her the letter that Lucius had written and stated, "Lucius had written back; he got the letter." When the letter came to a conclusion, she couldn't help but smile.

"Oww. I'm envious of you. I'm relieved that he's okay. She said, "Don't you want to tell the alpha about this?" I looked at her in shock. I was shocked by what she had just said. Did she really expect that I would show Alpha the letter he wrote back to her? No, I can't do that; even if I consider her to be my best friend, it doesn't mean that she would want to show the Alpha.

"I'm unable. Do you believe I'll wish to present the letter that Alpha wrote me back to Alpha? I murmured, frowning, "I can't do that," as I fixed her gaze.

"I'm not saying you have to show him the letter. She continued, "I meant that you should thank him and let him know that he has written back." I groaned deeply and nodded.

OK, all right. We're going to pursue our goals in our work," I told her.

***********************

We finished our tasks many hours later, and we both settled in for a nap.

After a bit of resting, I said to Sandra, "We should go to the Alpha's office now," and we both got up to walk to the Alpha's office.

The alpha let us in after we knocked on the door.

We exchanged a "good afternoon, alpha" together.

He inquired, "What do I owe for your visits?"

"I wanted to come Thank you for your assistance. "Lucius had responded to the letter," I continued, and he grinned at first before his expression became grave.

"Less I overlook? The Alpha inquired, "How is he doing?" and I looked at him bewildered.

I said, "He said he is okay and isn't being treated poorly," and he gave me a wide-eyed look.

"No, he's not. I felt my head spinning when the Alpha said, "I heard that Alpha Freya's mate was thrown into the cold room, and I guess he doesn't want to make you get worried; that's why he kept it a secret from you." I was astounded by what I heard. My body started to get numb. I curse his evil mate because I can't understand how he felt.

"This isn't possible; I'm going to her pack right now," I exclaimed as I bounded from the Alpha's office. I knew Sandra's hand was grabbing hold of me when I felt it while I was sprinting.

"You ought to settle down. You could end up killing yourself if you just go to her pack like this. The woman in the photo is a psychopath who will kill you without hesitation since she doesn't care about the life of her partner. You must become tranquil. Sandra continued, and I knew she was right: "Write to him and tell him about all this; you need to know why he didn't state that in the letter."

I walked to my room to write the letter to him, saying between gritted teeth, "Fine then, I'll do as you say."
