Chapter 37: Chapter 37

**

DITYA.

The blinding rays of light shining brightly into my eyes was what woke me up. I brought up my hands and placed it over my face to block the light, I sat up looked around. Where am I? This place doesn't look familiar at all, the shady room was way beneath my status. I blinked and then everything came rushing back. My opening the door, someone spraying something to my face and me fainting.

I have been kidnapped, the door suddenly swung open I shrinked back in fear. I look up and my eyes widened in shock. "Maximus!" I muttered.

"You are awake princess Ditya" he said grinning widely.

"What do you want from me!" I gritted out.

"Very simple, it is a very simple thing to do... You just have to marry my son"

"What! I can't ever marry your son! Ever!" I yelled though my voice only came out as a tiny squeak because of the soreness of my throat.

"Well then you loose your life, so you choose one, its your life and its your choice Princess Ditya"

"You evil man!" I snapped furiously, what have I gotten myself into now. He brought out a dagger and place it at the tip of my neck.

"Choose..... Princess Ditya"

JAMAL.

Getting out in my carriage was absolutely a bad idea because immediately people saw it they all started running helter-skelter, I sighed. "Was the petition dropped yesterday before the happenings at the council?" I asked Khan referring to the petition that I made to allow the commoners see me when they want to.

"Yes it was, though I don't think the king would be able to look over it because of the current situation" he replied.

"Okay, then let me have a word with the indigines"

"Now? Like right now?" He asked in a surprised tone.

"Yes right now, you have a problem with that?"

"Of course not" he replied immediately and told the coachman to stop. I got down from the carriage and waited, there was no soul in sight they had all run away.

"Is this really necessary my prince, there is no indigene standing... You can gave a talk with them at the festival of the rain" Khan reasoned.

I clicked my tongue. "The festival of the rain, for some reason that day ticks me off.... Anyway let's get going, how many more miles before we get to Abu?"

"Less than a mile my prince" Khan replied as we entered the carriage again.

Few minutes later we were standing in front of an almost invisible thatched house, almost invisible in the sense that no one would have noticed it on a normal day. "It is only visible to those he really wants to see" Khan said, answering my unsaid question.

I nodded. "I see that, how do we get in then?" I started to ask but as soon as I said it Abu himself came out dressed in a leopard print cloak..

"Prince Jamal Egor of the royal house, you are welcome to my humble abode" he said as he stood before us.

"It is a pleasure meeting you in person" i replied with as small as a bow.

He smiled. "In person? You've met me in person several times, how about meeting one on one that should be the right word"

"Oh right then"

"Come on in" he finally said, gesturing to the house, Khan and I followed him inside. I practically shivered at the feeling of eeriness as I entered the house or rather hut, he offered us a seat and we sank down unto it.

"So should I give you answers while he is here?" Abu asked motioning to Khan.

I looked at Khan who had already got up. "I will be outside then, call me if you need anything my prince" Khan stated and walked out, I turned back to Abu.

"You know what I'm here for?"

"Ashra knows everything Prince Jamal, do not underrate her"

"Then you would know where she is right now and if she is safe?" I asked referring to Sarafina.

"Yes, but I can't tell you anything about her whereabouts" he replied.

"And the sacrifice? Does she really have to be sacrificed? I mean after all she has been through at the hands of my mother"

"I see the queen finally opened up to you" he laughed heartily. "But I am amused that nobody, not even a soul understood my message"

I furrowed my brows at him. "What do you mean?"

"When was the last time Ashra asked for a burnt offering?"

"From history, it states a hundred of years ago and it wasn't even an human" I replied, though I still didn't get what he was pointing at.

"Good, if you had listened to me very well, you would have heard me say a sacrifice has to be made by the Sheba and not the Sheba has to be sacrificed"

I gasped as relief flooded me instantly. "So Sarafina will not be sacrificed? She only has to make a sacrifice and by this sacrifice you mean her letting go of some things?" I asked ecstatically.

"Exactly, but the eldwes of this land are so slow witted and blinded by quest for power that they didn't stop to ponder on a simple line from the goddess" Abu stated with a smile.

"But isn't there a way to make them understand? Because if she as much as set a foot here they would be on her neck in no time"

"Everything thing would be taken care if in due time, just go home and forgive your mother" he paused. "And yet another shocking revelation might be waiting for you at home.. Get going prince Jamal"

I nodded and stood up, walking outside, I looked back at the hut but...

"It isn't there again" Khan voiced out my thoughts, I cringed.

"That's creepy"

"Let's get going my prince" Khan said and we entered into the carriage.

"She is nowhere to be found my queen" India stated in a panicked voice. Insia had just come back with the dressmaker when she noticed that princess Ditya wasn't in her room, she had thought that her princess had just give to take a walk and had waited for almost two hours, the night was drawing near and yet Ditya wasn't back.

Insia had immediately informed the Queen and they had questioned the guards at the entrance of Ditya's chamber but to their surprise the guards had not seen anyone leave the chambers.

Mila stood up immediately and started pacing around, where could Ditya be? She didn't want to think the worse but what if she had been kidnapped right in the palace, if word gets to Pecan about this then the while of Zedora would have to face their wrath.

"Calm down Insia, and check on Jamal, they might have gone out together" Mila stated while Insia quickly rushed to the door, on opening it she met Jamal at the door.. Alone!

"My prince" she curtesied and stepped away allowing Jamal to step inside, the door closed behind them and she turned back to Mila, Ditya had not gone out with Jamal.

"Jamal you are home" Mila said with a forced out smile, Jamal noticed his mother's mood and he cringed his brows.

"Mother are you okay?" He asked.

Mila shook her head negatively. "Jamal, I think Ditya is missing"

"What! No way! How is that even possible, how can she go missing in a tightly secured place like this?" Jamal hissed out.

"I said so too but apparently with the...." Mila didn't finish her statement when the doors flung open revealing Ditya in all her glory walking majestically into the chamber.

"Where the hell have you been Ditya!!" Jamal yelled at her.

"And since when have you cared about my whereabouts prince Jamal" Ditya replied in an icy tone.

"I don't care about you or your whereabouts, but you putting the whole palace in a panicked mode is so uncalled for" Jamal said angrily.

"Very well, I actually have a needs for you and your mother"

"A news? What is it about?" Mila asked.

"I'm getting married Queen Mila"

Mila got confused. "Of course you are getting married after the festival of the rain"

"But not to your son"

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm getting married to the man I love, Prince Jafar"

"What!"

Mila eyes widened in surprise and fear, she couldn't say a word, she felt the whole room spinning before she finally fell almost to the floor, Jamal grabbed her before she could, her eyelids fluttered and she lost consciousness.
