Chapter 77: Chapter 77

Alicia

"I don't care whose child it is. I'm getting rid of it...and no one can stop me" I jibed worriedly.

"You can't terminate the pregnancy Alicia - its my child for peace sake!" He rasped holding my wrist.

"King Lee will soon find out about this. How can I live at the castle as the queen while I'm carrying another man's child?" I asked and he sighed.

"Please Alicia. Don't do this. We'll escape from the castle...I'll take you to my mother's house---"

"Aren't you ashamed of yourself? You don't even have your own house!!" I yelled irritably.

"Calm down. Yelling won't solve anything" He chimed.

I rolled my eyes.

This man is a lunatic!

"Look here Tristan, I'm not loosing the throne. What about Xenia??? What's gonna be her fate?".

"She's the King's first child, he won't throw her out..." He stressed and I cringed.

"Xenia would grow up without me. She'll be surrounded by strangers. Her father won't have time for her and so would the maids in the castle. I can't leave her here alone. Of course I know the King would claim rights over her so I would leave without her. What on earth am I going to do??" I peeved as tears scrolled down my cheeks.

"What if you damage your womb in the process of getting rid of the child?" He asked and I shook my head despondently.

"I don't care".

Dawn

I opened my eyes slowly when I heard the noise of glasses shattering on the floor.

I rose from the bed a bit shocked by the noises. King Lee was standing by the window.

His head was bent and there were remainings of broken bottles next to his feet.

It looked like a bottle of vodka.

He has to drink so early in the morning?

I climbed out of the bed passing my legs into his flip flops before going to where he was.

"Hey" I called and he turned fervently.

"Are you alright, your highness?" I asked noticing the roughness on his face.

He seemed to be passing through so much tension.

"My head is driving me crazy, Dawn. I've not felt like this in a long time" He said in a croaked voice.

"Calm down. Maybe its because you've not rested enough. You need to sleep some more" I said perturbed.

I can't help but feel pity for him. Although I can't imagine what he's going through right now.

"No. I need to meet with the King of Muzana this morning. He's on his way. I also need to go to the court---"

"But, King Lee..."

"Don't worry about me, hunn" He cooed and placed a short kiss on my cheek.

He left for the bathroom and in few minutes, I heard the shower running.

I wish there was something I could do.

Besides, he didn't tell me what the wise woman professed about my powers.

He didn't tell me anything.

I'm not gonna bother him now. Maybe tomorrow.

King Lee

I returned to the bedroom already dressed up In my royal suit.

Dawn was occupied packing up the shattered glasses.

"Are you sure it won't hurt you?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yeah, I'm almost done" She replied backing me.

I shrugged and sat on the seat.

My eyes weren't straight and it dangled bit by bit.

What could be causing this now?...

I opened the last drawer and picked up the box containing drugs. Drugs specifically for my head pains.

Its been long since I took them.

Something's not right somewhere..

After taking the medications, I got up swiftly adjusting the suit.

"Don't over work yourself, Your highness" Dawn said and hugged me tightly.

I chuckled and kissed her lips.

"I'm alright. See you when I get back, we have something to talk about" I said before the room.

I walked down the stairs and it seemed like I was starting to see the negative color of things.

The drugs ain't working but I'd manage.

I entered the office and met the King of Muzana already on his feet waiting for me.

I went straight to the chair and sat down.

"How are you, King Lee?" He asked taking his seat.

"It doesn't matter. I called you because of your supposed daughter - princess Anna who is really Dawn" I deadpanned.

He chuckled nervously.

"I'm sorry, I deceived you, King Lee. I had no choice but to play along with Sir Blade's plan" He wavered.

I scoffed.

"A simple apology won't bring me to forgive you" I muttered and he held a crumpled look.

"Please don't destroy us, King Lee. I would do anything!" He pleaded.

"Its simple. I want you to follow me to the court and tell the elders that Princess Anna is dead and you and your warrior forced Dawn to impersonate your daughter" I stated.

"What?...but that'll create a big problem at my kingdom. I may even be outvoted as King. I will loose my throne!" He yelped.

I shrugged.

"I don't care" I said and stood up.

"Shall we?"....
