Chapter 531: Chapter 531: Bringing Luna Away
"Shion, are you in there?"
Nolan opened Shion’s office door and stepped inside. The sight that greeted him stunned him immediately.
"Shion, what happened?"
He rushed over to see Shion lying unconscious on the floor.
Eira jumped from Nolan’s arms and licked Shion’s face.
"Master, she’s unconscious," she said.
Nolan frowned as he checked Shion’s body, relieved to find no wounds or injuries.
Carefully, he lifted her and laid her down on a nearby couch.
He then made some hot tea and went to the cabinet for a towel. Soaking it in warm water, he gently placed it on Shion’s forehead.
"She has a fever," Nolan whispered, his voice tinged with helplessness.
He hadn’t expected Shion to faint just from a fever.
The cause was obvious: exhaustion. In his previous world, office workers often collapsed like this after pushing themselves too hard.
As he used his magic to ease Shion’s fatigue, the office door slowly opened, and Luna peeked in.
Seeing Nolan there was enough to surprise her, but Shion lying unconscious on the sofa shocked her even more.
"Sister Shion!" Her voice trembled with panic as she ran forward. "What happened? Is she hurt? Who did this?"
Sensing her distress, Nolan quickly stepped in to calm her.
"Don’t worry. Shion is fine. She’s just overworked. Just wait—she’ll wake up soon."
His words eased some of Luna’s panic, though worry still lingered in her eyes.
Not long after Nolan spoke, Shion’s unconscious body twitched. Her eyelids fluttered before slowly opening.
"Ugh... my head hurts so much," she groaned, rubbing her temples. "What happened?"
Nolan helped her sit up and explained, "You fainted just as I arrived. You only have a slight fever—nothing serious. Drink your tea first."
Shion was surprised to see Nolan beside her, but she said nothing, only giving a slight nod.
Luna handed her the tea, and Shion sipped it carefully. The warmth spread through her body, easing some of her discomfort.
"By the way, Master... why are you here? Did you miss me?" Shion asked weakly, a teasing smile on her lips.
Nolan chuckled softly. He was about to flick her forehead but stopped, remembering she still had a fever.
"Let’s just say that. I came to take Luna to the place where the Singularity of Chaos is. Today’s the day. Right, Luna?" He glanced casually at Luna.
Luna nodded firmly. "I remember, Your Highness. Please take me to the Singularity of Chaos now."
She knew she would have to see her grandmother sooner or later. Otherwise, her grandmother would keep worrying, and she didn’t want that.
"Good." Nolan nodded in satisfaction. Taking her right hand, he said, "Then I’ll go first, Shion. Once everything is settled, Luna will return to you."
Shion nodded slightly. Her tired eyes met Luna’s as she offered a warning, "Don’t argue with your grandmother, understand? If she refuses to let you go, persuade her gently—not stubbornly."
She knew Luna well. On the surface, the girl seemed kind and timid.
But once Luna clung to a principle and made a decision, changing it was as difficult as uprooting a giant tree.
Luna pursed her lips and gave a reluctant nod.
"I understand, Sister Shion."
Shion smiled in satisfaction. After exchanging a few more words, Nolan took Eira and Luna and left the office.
***
Nolan and Luna walked toward the outskirts of the city. Strictly speaking, this wasn’t necessary—after all, he and the Singularity of Chaos were one and the same.
Still, to avoid drawing attention, he chose to take Luna out of the city.
When they reached the gate, Nolan didn’t greet the guards and simply continued walking with Luna.
Luna frowned in confusion. She tugged at Nolan’s sleeve and asked, "Why don’t they stop us?"
She remembered that leaving the city usually required reporting to the guards. Yet earlier, they hadn’t even looked at them, as if they weren’t there.
Nolan smiled casually. "That’s because I used a special trick."
"A special trick?" Luna tilted her head, curious.
Nolan kept smiling but said nothing. Once they were outside the city walls, he patted Luna’s head. "Wait here. I’ll contact the Singularity of Chaos."
Luna nodded slightly, unsuspecting.
Nolan walked a few steps away, then slipped into a narrow slot in the city wall that Luna couldn’t see.
Not long after, he returned, followed by a man in a black cloak—none other than the Singularity of Chaos.
Eira, perched above Nolan’s head, stared at the figure in awe.
She already knew Nolan was the Singularity of Chaos, but seeing a "clone" of him in person was astonishing.
What Eira didn’t realize was that the Nolan she was sitting on was just a fake, while the real Singularity of Chaos walked behind her.
When Luna saw him, her heart began to race.
"Good afternoon, Singularity of Chaos," she greeted nervously, her voice trembling.
This figure was one of the strongest in the world. Even her grandmother often spoke of him, which had always made Luna both curious and fascinated.
Now, meeting him in person stirred a mix of excitement and anxiety she couldn’t suppress.
The Singularity of Chaos merely nodded in acknowledgment.
"Let’s go."
Without waiting for an answer, he lifted Luna into a princess carry, and her body stiffened as if turned to stone.
With a swift motion, he sliced through the air around them, creating a tear in space.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he stepped through—and vanished from sight.
...
"What’s the situation? Has the Great Velmora Empire surrendered as planned?"
Inside the luxurious room, the Singularity of Light looked calmly at Dariel.
Dariel took a sip of his tea, then shook his head.
"No news yet. But they should surrender soon. After all, the outcome is already decided," he replied with a faint smile. "Even if they try to renegotiate, that’s fine. I’m certain those kingdoms won’t remain idle."
The Singularity of Light nodded, clearly understanding his implication.
"By the way, the Demon Emperor Zerathos is dead."
The news stunned Dariel. His expression darkened as he asked, "Who killed him?"
"I don’t know. What is certain is that the one responsible is my equal."
Those vague words immediately brought a single figure to Dariel’s mind.
"Singularity of Chaos!"
"That figure has already taken action and ruined our long-term plans," the Singularity of Light said coldly. "Therefore, we must continue to pressure the Great Velmora Empire. And don’t forget—eliminate that woman and the Church of Light behind her. They may not be a threat now, but no one knows when they will truly become dangerous."
Dariel nodded. "Leave it to me."
