Chapter 504: Chapter 504: Farewell to Sharon (1)

"Grandma is looking for me?" Luna asked in shock, covering her mouth with her hand.

Nolan nodded slowly. "Yes, she is. The Singularity of Chaos also promised your grandmother that he would bring you back to her side in three months. If you count carefully, there’s only one month left. What do you think?"

He waited calmly, not pressuring Luna to decide immediately.

He knew this choice wasn’t easy for the little girl. On one hand, Luna truly enjoyed her current life; on the other, she loved her grandmother deeply.

Luna fell into deep thought, her face shadowed with sadness.

It would be a lie to say she didn’t want to return home. There, she, her mother, and her grandmother lived safely and peacefully.

But after getting used to life with Shion, readjusting to the elves’ life in the forest would be difficult.

On top of that, it was incredibly dull there. Endless forests stretched as far as the eye could see—no entertainment, no delicious food, no bustling crowds like in the capital, Solvaria.

If she went back, she definitely wouldn’t settle in.

"Go see your grandmother, Luna. You can explain your situation to her. If you don’t want to return, just tell her. I’m sure she’ll understand," Shion said gently, stroking her head.

Luna felt her words made sense. She looked up at Nolan and nodded slowly.

"Then please tell the Singularity of Chaos—I’ll wait for him here next month," she said firmly.

She was certain her grandmother would understand her situation.

"Okay, I get it. I’ll report it to him later," Nolan replied softly.

After a few words, Nolan turned and walked away, carrying the soundly sleeping Eira in his arms.

Watching them gradually disappear, Luna let out a long sigh and pressed a hand to her chest.

"What’s wrong? Nervous that your grandmother won’t allow it?" Shion teased.

"No." Luna shook her head. "I just didn’t expect Prince Nolan to have a connection with the Singularity of Chaos. It’s really surprising."

She had only heard about the Singularity of Chaos from her grandmother.

Oh, right—she’d also heard of his feats, like defeating two catastrophe-level monsters in the western region and the capital during the succession announcement.

"My master is truly unpredictable," Shion chuckled. "Do you know how old he was when he built this trading house?"

Luna frowned thoughtfully, then hesitated before answering, "Fifteen?"

Shion rolled her eyes. "He’s only eighteen now. So, do you really think it’s possible to build a trading empire this huge in just three years?"

"Eighteen? Prince Nolan is only that young?" Luna widened her eyes, disbelief written all over her face.

Although she looked like a child, Luna was actually decades old.

It was just that, by the elf race’s calculations, she was still considered a child.

Who would have thought Nolan was only eighteen?

Wasn’t that practically a baby by her race’s standards?

As if reading her thoughts, Shion flicked her forehead and said, "Don’t use your elf standards. That doesn’t make sense."

Luna rubbed her slightly sore forehead and smiled shyly.

"So, when did Prince Nolan establish this trading house?" she asked, curiosity shining in her eyes.

"Nine years ago," Shion replied casually. "At the age of nine, he had already planned everything meticulously, as if he had decades of experience. So I’m not surprised he has a connection with the Singularity of Chaos."

Luna’s eyes sparkled with admiration. She hadn’t expected Nolan to be so extraordinary.

’Prince Nolan... I want to know more about him,’ she murmured in awe.

...

A week passed quickly. During that time, Nolan spent his days relaxing in his room with Eira.

Occasionally, he spent time with Eliza or met his childhood friend, Evalyn.

He was, in many ways, quite idle—a routine he usually followed before the battle for the throne began.

Winter showed no signs of letting up. In fact, the weather grew harsher, forcing many in the capital to stay indoors and avoid the cold.

The presence of the demon emperor, who had recently terrorized the people, no longer stirred much fear.

He hadn’t been seen for a long time, and most assumed he was hiding from the Seven Singularities.

Only Nolan, however, knew that Zerathos would strike soon.

So he asked Arnold to switch places with Malverna to guard Elina and Rafine in the eastern region.

After all, the day the Demon Emperor Zerathos appeared would also be the day of his death.

"Hoamm... I’m so sleepy. Are you too, Eira?"

On the bed, Nolan yawned lazily, staring at the small dragon sleeping on his stomach.

Eira’s eyes were closed, and she snored softly.

"She’s really asleep," he whispered with a small chuckle.

He didn’t wake her and closed his own eyes. In a winter like this, sleep was almost a mandatory routine.

Suddenly, just as he began to let his guard down, his bedroom door slowly creaked open.

From behind it, an exceptionally beautiful woman stepped in, moving calmly.

She smiled mischievously before climbing onto the bed, lying down beside him, and wrapping him in a hug.

Nolan, noticing the movement, woke immediately.

Turning to his right, he saw Seira pressing her face against his neck.

Her arms were wrapped around his chest, and her right leg rested on his thigh.

Nolan: "..."

The corners of his mouth twitched slightly before he scolded her in a dissatisfied tone. "Sister, what are you doing?"

He had only wanted to sleep comfortably, but Seira always found a way to disturb him.

Seira pretended not to hear him, as if she had already fallen asleep.

Nolan knew she was faking it. An idea popped into his head.

He leaned close to her ear and whispered, his warm breath brushing against it.

"Sister, what are you doing? Don’t you have anything better to do?"

Seira’s small ears twitched, then slowly turned red like tomatoes.

When she still didn’t move, Nolan grew impatient and bit her ear.

"Kyaa!"

A startled, panicked moan escaped her lips. She quickly released her hold on Nolan, her face flushed like an apple.

Pointing at him, she snapped, "What are you doing? Don’t you know my ears are sensitive?"

Her cheeks puffed out in irritation as she crossed her arms over her ample chest.

She wore a low-cut nightgown, revealing a glimpse of her white cleavage.

Nolan chuckled softly and slowly sat up, still holding Eira.

He placed the little dragon on his left side and replied casually, "How was I supposed to know your ears were sensitive? If I had, I wouldn’t have done it."

His innocent expression made Seira unable to continue scolding him.

"Huff! Next time, don’t bite my ear—especially not another woman’s ear. Otherwise, you’ll face the consequences."

Seira clenched her right fist and held it up to him.

Nolan glanced at the small fist and almost laughed, but quickly held it in.

"All right. Now tell me—what do you want?"
