Chapter 486: Chapter 486: Humiliating Sylvia (1)

"Master, you’re back!"

Jisha froze in shock at Sylvia’s sudden appearance.

Olivia, sitting beside her, was just as surprised and quickly rushed over to Sylvia alongside Jisha.

Sylvia opened her mouth to speak, but her crybaby disciple leapt forward and hugged her tightly.

"Woaa! Master, I missed you so much! I thought you were dead! Woaa!" Jisha cried hoarsely, clinging as if she would never let go.

Olivia’s eyes welled up too. She wanted to hug Sylvia as well but felt too shy to move.

Sylvia smiled, gently patting Jisha’s head.

"Don’t cry anymore. I’m here," she said softly.

But Jisha didn’t stop, her sobs continuing for a few more moments.

After five minutes, she finally released her grip. Wiping her tears, she scanned Sylvia from head to toe.

"Master, what really happened to you? How did you survive?"

She remembered the danger Sylvia had faced—the white dragon at a catastrophic power level.

Survival had seemed impossible. Yet here she was, safe and alive.

Olivia shared Jisha’s curiosity, her gaze fixed intently on Sylvia.

"It’s a long story. Let’s sit down first, and I’ll explain everything," Sylvia said.

Jisha nodded without hesitation. They slowly took their seats as the servants brought tea and snacks.

"So, after I almost lost to the dragon, I..."

Sylvia began recounting the events to her two disciples.

They listened intently. When the name Singularity of Chaos came up, both of them froze.

"Singularity of Chaos? How is that possible?" Jisha gasped, covering her mouth with her hand.

Who didn’t know about the Singularity of Chaos?

She was certain everyone on the continent knew of him. She had never imagined that someone so powerful would come to aid her master.

"M-Master, are you sure that person is the Singularity of Chaos? Why would he show up here?" Olivia asked, her voice trembling.

The Singularity of Chaos was the one person Olivia had always longed to meet.

His legendary feats—defeating two catastrophic dragons at different times—had inspired her to grow stronger.

"I don’t know either," Sylvia admitted, shaking her head as she sipped her tea. "All I know is that when I woke up, he was already by my side. I searched for traces of the dragon, and sure enough, the beast was dead. So what the Singularity of Chaos said was entirely true."

Olivia and Jisha exchanged loaded glances.

Noticing their unusual reaction, Sylvia frowned. "What’s wrong with you two?"

Jisha hesitated, uncertain whether to speak.

But realizing she couldn’t hide the truth from her master, she said, "Master, it wasn’t the Singularity of Chaos who killed the white dragon—it was two Constellation Mages from the Great Velmora Empire."

Sylvia choked on her tea, staring at her disciples in disbelief.

"What did you just say? Two Constellation Mages from the Great Velmora Empire?"

"Yes," Jisha and Olivia nodded. Olivia continued, "About three or four days ago, when my senior sister and I arrived at the palace, we mentioned that you had lost to the white dragon. My father was desperate and asked Leina to meet with Prince Nolan. Then..."

She recounted every detail to Sylvia. The more Sylvia heard, the angrier she grew.

"Nolan Lorian is truly cunning! How dare he bring such loss to your father and the kingdom? He’s asking for death!" Sylvia growled.

Her anger only deepened when she realized the white dragon’s death had been claimed by others.

The truth was obvious—the Singularity of Chaos had done it.

Yet Cassiopeia and Draco had the audacity to take credit, openly admitting they were responsible. That could not go unpunished.

Seeing Sylvia’s anger, Jisha shivered.

She knew that when her master was furious, trouble was inevitable.

’Hah... Nolan, you’re finished. Even the two Constellation Mages at your side couldn’t save you,’ she whispered, pitying him.

"Come on. Take me to His Majesty the King. I want to see what this Nolan Lorian is really like. Such a cunning and cruel young man," Sylvia said coldly as she slowly stood.

Jisha and Olivia exchanged glances but said nothing.

Soon after, they accompanied Sylvia to Glarvic’s place.

...

"We’re here," Halmar said as he brought the horse-drawn carriage to a stop.

Nolan, Sharon, Cassiopeia, and Draco stepped out, their gazes indifferent as they took in the palace before them.

At first, they admired the grandeur of its architecture, but Glarvic’s rude demeanor had already stripped away any respect they might have felt.

Sensing the tension, Halmar quickly spoke to break the silence.

"Well then, let’s go inside. His Majesty Glarvic is waiting."

They nodded and followed him into the palace.

In the parlor, Glarvic sat calmly, with Leina standing by his side. Sylvia occupied the sofa to his left, accompanied by Olivia and Jisha.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the right. They instinctively turned and saw Nolan and his entourage entering.

"Master, the one in front is Nolan," Jisha whispered from beside her.

Sylvia’s gaze locked onto Nolan, and though her face was partially hidden by a veil, a flash of surprise crossed her features.

’Is he Nolan Lorian? What a handsome man...’

Even Sylvia had to admit that the young man was extraordinarily attractive.

In her entire life, she had never seen anyone so striking.

Nolan’s expression was indifferent and languid, yet his calm aura created a unique and compelling contrast.

His eyes were a deep purple, like carefully carved sapphire stones.

Anyone who met his gaze felt as if they were drawn into another dimension, trapped there indefinitely.

His black hair was slightly long, neatly styled with side bangs. The left side was combed back, while the right fell freely, adding to his striking appearance.

But Sylvia was not a girl who fell in love easily. Her heart belonged solely to the Singularity of Chaos.

Though she had never seen his face, she was certain he was as handsome as Nolan, if not more.

"Welcome, Prince Nolan, Princess Sharon, Mage Cassiopeia, and Draco," Glarvic greeted them with calm politeness.

Yet there was something different about him. His aura carried a tension that was hard to define.

Nolan understood why—Glarvic was in desperate mode. Anyone in such a state had only one goal: to give their all before being completely undone.

Nolan smiled and returned the greeting. "Thank you for your welcome, Your Majesty."

After exchanging formalities with Glarvic, he turned to Leina beside him with a meaningful glance.

Leina blushed slightly but tried to maintain her composure.

"Alright, Your Majesty, let’s get straight to the point," Nolan said as he slowly settled onto the sofa. "Let’s draw up the official contract."
