Chapter 479: Chapter 479: That was anticlimactic

Kai healed Henry, growing back his limbs and restoring his lost blood. Even with all of that, the guy didn’t wake up. His body was in too much shock to do so at the moment.

"Phew, that would have been bad. Now, where were we? Oh yeah. Really, dude, that’s your reasoning? That’s so dumb. Instead of locking in, getting strong, smart, and getting bitches, you become the bitch yourself. Fucking loser."

"You wouldn’t understand! I grew up believing that I would be king! My father told me that I would be king! Everyone around me told me that I would be king! So when he decided that I wasn’t fit for it, I got angry! The throne deserves to be mine!"

"So your solution was to kill your father, imprison your mother and sister, mutilate your brother, and burn your kingdom? Some king you are."

When Kai said it like that, James started to think of his actions. It was pretty jarring when he thought about it, but he still believed that his actions were correct.

"You know, I’m a god. My parents are crazy fuckers who rule over the universe and shit. My eldest brother is like you, an idiot who is entitled, stupid, and ugly. Yeah, you’re ugly, fuck you. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I never once thought that I should be the king of the universe or whatever. That shit is lame."

James was still stuck on Kai being a god.

"The only reason why I’m bringing this up is so you can understand how much of a loser you are. Cause you’re a big loser. Like you win the number one loser award, for mortals. You’re lucky you’re not a Carl, ha."

"Why are you so cruel?" James started to cry.

"What the fuck, man? Why are you crying? You’re supposed to be this big, bad, crazy guy who’s the final boss or something. I didn’t expect you to be a crybaby. Hahaha! Pussy."

James lost it and attacked Kai. Of course, this didn’t amount to anything, but at least he tried.

Kai slapped James away, and he flew into a wall. As he struggled to get up, Henry woke up and turned on his back while groaning.

"That motherfucker." He said, standing up.

"Henry! Welcome back to the land of the living! How was your sleep?"

"Kai? When did you get there?"

"After you passed out. How are you liking your new arm and leg?"

"What? Oh shit! My arm and leg are back? You did this?"

"Yup."

"Thanks, man."

"No problem. By the way, James is right there."

Henry turned around, looking at James with a disgusted expression. Walking over to his brother, he kicked him in the gut, then started beating the shit out of the guy.

It was so intense that Kai had to take out some popcorn and eat it while enjoying the free movie.

"Fucking bitch! This is what you get! I hope you rot in hell!" Henry grabbed James’s head, then snapped his neck.

"Damn! He wasted no time! You didn’t want to ask him why he did any of the things he...did?" Kai wondered.

"Nah, fuck that. His actions already tell me what I need to know about him. He forfeited his life the moment he decided to do this bullshit!"

"That’s what I’m fucking talking about, man!" Kai made Henry a tier-10 warrior/mage instantly.

"W-Whoa! What happened?"

"I made you strong as fuck! Now no one will question your reign! Come on, let’s free your mother and sister."

"Yeah."

Henry and Kai made their way to the dungeons, searching for the princess and queen. Eventually, they found them, but not in the way they expected.

Two guards were having their way with them, not sexually assaulting them, but bullying them by ripping off their clothes, pointing their weapons at them, and also speaking down on them.

"Those fucking bastards!" Henry, in a fit of rage, attacked those two guards, killing them brutally before he even realised it. They didn’t even get a chance to understand what happened.

"Henry!" They both shouted with glee.

"Don’t worry, I’m getting you two out of here."

"Henry, your brother! He killed your father!" Victoria said with tears running down her face.

"I know. I killed James already. Everything is over. On the way here, Kai told me that he’s handling James’s men."

"Hello!" Kai made his presence known.

"Sir Kai, you’re here too! Thank the goddess." Elizabeth smiled.

"Here you go." Kai opened the cell and restored their clothing. "Good as new."

"Thank you." They bowed.

"No problem."

"Henry, was there no other way to save your brother? H-He’s family." Victoria knew that what James had done was cruel, but he was still her son, and her maternal love for him didn’t fade just yet. Her practical love for him vanished, though.

"No. He was beyond saving. I tried reasoning with him, but he wouldn’t see it. I nearly died. If it wasn’t for Kai, I wouldn’t have been here to save you."

Victoria understood and didn’t blame Henry. It was just unfortunate.

"Come, let me get you both back somewhere comfortable. I’m sure you want to relax after experiencing something traumatic like that."

They all left the dungeon, and Henry got them situated back in their rooms. While everything else was happening around him, he took a minute to sit and think about everything that was going on.

He was happy that he didn’t have to fight Philip, but it was upsetting that he had to kill his other brother. Regardless of wanting to be the king, Henry valued and respected his brothers, even if they were competitors.

He lost a lot of good men today, and the kingdom was in peril. It was a lot to take in. This didn’t even include the fact that he was now the king, even if the ceremony hadn’t happened yet.

"Damn, I need a drink."

"Alcoholic. Just go to sleep or something. Drinking isn’t always the answer. Sometimes, drinking orange juice is what you need." Kai gave Henry some orange juice.

"Wow, this is amazing. Best drink I’ve had in my life."

"Right!" Kai smiled. "Way better than apple juice!"

"Apple Juice?"

"Don’t worry about it. I won’t burden you with that mid drink."

"Mid?"
