Chapter 462: Chapter 462: What the hell man?
"Oh great, you’re here again." Since Frostina was here, Kai knew something serious was going on.
"Kai, there is a crack in the sky in a nearby village. Its people were slaughtered, and it’s now being overran by demons. Please, help the people there." Frostina asked
"What am I, an errond boy now?"
"This is serious, Kai. Please, check things out there and close that crack in the sky. I would help, but I’m currently holding off an attack on my Divine realm, and I need to focus my strength here."
"Alright, whatever. I’d better get overtime for this." He stepped out of the shadows and teleported out of the estate. He looked around, trying to find the crack in the sky, as it should be pretty obvious.
After a few head turns, he found it. It was a good distance away, but he could see really far, so it wasn’t out of his line of sight.
"Damn. Is that the demon world spilling into the mortal world?" He asked
"Yes, it appears so." Korrigan replied, flying next to him.
"Shouldn’t you be acting as if you’re still following Aion’s commands?"
"Doesn’t matter. You’re my shield in this situation."
"Well, feel free to hide behind me."
"You’re not really my shield. I was mainly talking about—"
"Lea, yeah, I know. Unfortunately for you, Leo is too busy minding his own business to care about what’s happening right now. So, this shield of yours is pretty rusty already, too worn down to actually protect you."
Korrigan frowned. "That’s...heartbreaking."
"Tell me about it." Kai took off toward the crack in the sky.
As he flew there, he could feel the demonic energy merging with the mana in the surroundings. It was an odd feeling, like water and oil mixing perfectly, even though that shouldn’t be the case.
If anyone tried to use magic in this area, they would be severely weakened. The same went for demonic energy as well. But because it was the demon world that was spilling into the mortal world, the concentration of demonic energy in this specific area was higher than normal, well, higher than it would be if a demon were to cross over and need to rely on their own demonic energy.
"This whole town, it’s destroyed." Kai floated down to the surface, not caring if anyone saw him. He looked around, spotting survivors, some hidden in places where demons wouldn’t find them, while others were being used as pleasure objects.
"I’ve always hated the savagery of the demon world," Korrigan growled, looking at her people doing such heinous acts.
"Yeah, you and your sisters share the same sentiment."
"How could we not? Our ancestors were among those who were worshiped by the mortal world millennia ago. They were friends with the gods."
"Wait, that story is actually true? I remember a demon saying something like that, but then said that they were joking."
Korrigan nodded. "It’s folklore among the demon realm, but my clan has records from those days, with physical proof as well. Hell, there are even temples on each of the continents that prove this. Also, back then, there weren’t six continents; it was only one large landmass, but the landmass between each continent sank to the bottom of what is known now as the open ocean."
"Those fucking fish men!" Kai shouted, alerting his presence to everyone around the town.
"Yeah, I did hear that the people who sank with the land turned into fish people. Some managed to survive and become human fish hybrids known as mermen and mermaids, while others weren’t so lucky and became fish monsters. The truly lucky ones died at the hands of the sea monsters."
"Wow, this world is more complex than I thought." Kai knew what he was going to do after his current adventure ended.
"Who are you?!" A demon asked, walking up to Kai.
"I’m your long-lost father. It’s nice to see you, son. You’ve grown so much."
The demon looked at Kai as if he were some dumbass and got annoyed.
"You meat sack! I killed my father with my own two hands, eating him and taking his powers for my own!" He bellowed, demons around him cheering after hearing him speak.
"Nah, that wasn’t your real dad. Your Mom was quite the slut back in the day. If she saw a dick, she couldn’t help but fuck it. Got creampied so many times. Unfortunately, I was the one who ended up knocking her up, and since she was married, she claimed that the child was her husband’s, the guy who you think is your father."
The demons couldn’t believe Kai’s words. It was true that his mother was a slut, everyone in the demon world knew this, but he never expected his father to be a human. Everything was adding up in his head.
"Y-You! You’re my father?"
"The fuck?" Kai wasn’t expecting the demon to actually believe him. He was just saying bullshit to make the demon mad.
"No, I’m not your fucking father, you dumb fuck! Do you think I’d get with a slutty demon bitch and have an ugly bastard like you as a child? Fuck that!"
"Y-You! You mother fucker!"
The demon charged at Kai, his power cracking the ground, but Kai swatted him away like a fly, causing the bastard’s body to burst.
"Holy shit!" The demons took a step back, not wanting to mess with Kai as he had just killed a strong demon with a simple swipe of his hand.
"Hey, hey! Don’t back away now, come at me, you demon fucks!" Kai took a step forward, causing the demons to take an even bigger step back.
"What the fuck is going on here? I’m trying to have a good time with those human bitches, and all of you are screaming like fucking flies in my ear!" A tall, muscular, monster-looking demon stepped out of a house, buckling up his pants with an angry expression.
"Are you the leader of this clown show?" Kai asked
"Who the fuck is this human bug? Why isn’t he dead yet? And where’s Carl?!"
The demons pointed to a bloodstain on the ground.
"That’s Carl?!" The demon asked
The other demons nodded.
"Who did this?"
The demons pointed at Kai.
"What the hell?! You let a puny human kill Carl? Useless fucks!"
