Chapter 166: Chapter 166

Seth Shaw went to find Paige Sterling, however, he had no idea where to look.

He currently had no contact information for Paige. If he went to Penson, everyone there knew him and seeing him as Paige’s boyfriend, looked at him with disdain, refusing to let him contact her.

Moreover, he didn’t know where Paige was living now.

Paige had cut ties with him completely, leaving him with the feeling that she truly didn’t want anything to do with him anymore.

But he immediately shook his head, telling himself he must not think that way.

Paige loved him, without a doubt, and he had to show sincerity to move her once again.

As for whether he would be laughed at by others for this, he couldn’t care less anymore.

He had fallen so low now, could the mockery have been any less?

Once he made a comeback, all this scorn would become compliments.

Seth was determined that seeking Paige’s forgiveness would allow him to escape this predicament, so he wouldn’t miss this opportunity.

Unable to find Paige, he went to look for Paige’s agent in the entertainment industry, Leon Lowell.

Leon continued his work as an agent, but not with Stellar anymore. He took the business card Paige gave him to VastReach, and then was recommended to the entertainment company under Evan Chambers.

He had previously managed Paige, and back when Paige was in the entertainment circle, he treated her well. Plus, he was experienced in handling artists, so Evan naturally treated him with respect, making his current situation better than it was at Stellar, with identity and status, he’s now considered a star agent.

Especially since everyone knows he used to be Paige’s agent; Paige’s success added luster to his own reputation.

Seth went to Leon to ask for Paige’s contact information, but Leon responded with cold sarcasm.

"Mr. Shaw, weren’t you worried about people saying you climbed up by relying on women? Not worried anymore?"

Seth felt awkward, "Leon, I really like Paige. I was deceived by Melody Mercer before, I..."

Leon impatiently interrupted Seth, "Enough, Mr. Shaw, we’re all men here, aren’t aware of a man’s inherent weaknesses? Stop pretending in front of me. I absolutely won’t give you Paige’s contact information because you are unworthy."

Previously unworthy, now that she’s a pinnacle figure, Seth was even more unworthy.

Seeing Leon treat him this way made Seth furious.

But he needed Leon now, so he could only swallow his pride.

He thought to himself, there would be opportunities to teach this snobbish man a lesson later.

"Leon, you’ve known about Paige’s background for a long time, right?"

Leon said, "I found out when she broke up with you. What’s wrong? Are you thinking if you had known earlier, you wouldn’t have broken up?"

Leon chuckled coldly, "Seth, wake up; you’re smart, but others aren’t fools, especially Paige. She’s smarter than you think, only blinded by emotions before, trusting you too much, which allowed your deceit to work. However, no matter how clever your tricks are, she won’t be deceived by you for a lifetime, so a future with her is impossible."

Seth held his anger, "Leon, you know I’m Paige’s first love. Even if I hurt her heart back then, she couldn’t possibly forget me in a short time. The reason she’s so determined now is to show me, to get my attention, to make me regret. I’m already regretting; help me get Paige’s contact info, you might be helping her, maybe she’s waiting for me to contact her, apologize and beg forgiveness..."

Where did Seth get all this confidence from?

Seth thought Leon’s silence meant he was contemplating, so he pressed on.

"Leon, it’s only a matter of time before Paige and I get back together. Offending me doesn’t benefit you, why not help me? When I succeed, I won’t forget you, and with me backing you, who in the entertainment industry would dare offend you?"

Seth believed the offer he made was quite enticing.

Leon looked at Seth as if watching a fool.

"Mr. Shaw, are you still dreaming? I suggest you go home, wash your face with cold water, and reassess before stepping out again."

With that, he got into his car and drove away.

Leon had Paige’s contact information.

Even though Paige’s status had changed, she still held onto old affections, sending him a message with her new number, so he saved it but never called.

This was the perfect time to call Paige and give her a heads-up.

After all, she was a hot commodity now, and Seth, being a man driven by greed, could stoop to anything for money.

Upon receiving Leon’s warning, Paige didn’t pay much attention.

If Seth really came looking for her, she would just give him a beating, nothing to fear.

She was someone who played her cards fairly; there was no reason to fear someone like Seth.

Little did Paige know, soon she would run into Seth.

Paige was attending a class at university, and just as she left the classroom after a lecture.

Mr. Hawthorne drove over to take her out for lunch, as soon as she walked up to the car, Seth suddenly appeared.

Seth’s eyes were filled with tears, seemingly carrying immense emotion.

Seth’s acting skills were often questioned, yet seeing him , Paige believed his acting must have improved.

Unfortunately, better acting skills didn’t mean he had a role to play. Googlᴇ search 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭•𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢•𝓷𝓮𝓽

Paige looked at him coldly, "Mr. Shaw, do you need something?"

Seth continued with a look of sincerity, "Paige, I was wrong before, feeling insecure and deliberately getting involved with Melody Mercer to test your feelings for me. There was nothing with Melody, don’t be mad at me, okay? Let’s start over, I swear I’ll treat you twice as well..."

Paige suddenly found it amusing; she couldn’t recall what mindset made her fall for Seth back then.

Facing Seth now, it felt as though she’d dreamt a ridiculous dream.

"Seth, the past is past. No matter what your intentions were, it’s best you don’t come looking for me again."

Seth dared to come because he was completely unaware of how she operated now; if he knew, he’d likely not have the courage.

Seth looked heartbroken, "Paige, don’t treat me this way; my feelings for you are true. You won’t find another man as sincere as I am. Please give me another chance?"

Sitting in the car, observing coldly, Mr. Hawthorne couldn’t hold back, rolled down the window, and looked at Seth with a cold gaze, seemingly smiling as he asked Paige.

"Mrs. Hawthorne, an ex-boyfriend?"

Paige felt embarrassed, "It was so long ago, I’ve forgotten."

Recently, due to her, Seth as an ex-boyfriend was brought up in hot topics online.

Every time Mr. Hawthorne saw the reference to ex-boyfriend, his eyes seemed brooding, as if plotting something.

Paige knew Mr. Hawthorne was extremely petty, fussing even over trivial matters.

And at that moment, Seth also noticed Julian Hawthorne.

He looked at Paige, "Paige, who is he?"
