Chapter 2 Leah's inside the stomach

The people in the community have shown their sympathy to Mrs. Tanyong; she has never ceased to find her daughter, indeed her feet didn't feel tired to walk above the rough mountain, at least she could fragrant her beloved daughter. Meanwhile Steven visits Lee's house, he didn't find anyone who sits beside the terrace, he craved to ask heaven to find her, unfortunately no wind supported his urgent request ever since. After a while, someone is crying beside the leaf, what he thinks is that the mosquito is crying due to poverty. (I feel my friend's shadow, but why can't I see her image fully?) When he moves backward on the road, "it’s good that you visit here sir, I would just like to tell you that my daughter is not here, I urgently need your help,” white mother said.

“Actually, I have already heard about this problem. To tell you honestly, I am still worrying about her situation because she is my friend. I still want to stay with her. ( At this time, he had reminisce when he were left her and then, when he didn’t visit her when she had needed his presence before. )

“Maybe she will not. You know I still have my husband before, he had not come back after he tried to get the net on the sea. And he replies really? But you must be a strong mother,” she said. Afterwards, he goes back to his house. On the other hand, Renek is a fisherman. He goes to the sea; to put his miracle net where there are several fishes. Somebody tells him not to go there yet, he has never listened to them. One night, he rides his boat; to the center of the sea. There, he has put the net in the center of the sea where several fishes have stayed. He expects negatively to get many fishes.

Early in the morning, he gets his net, the wind is very cold yet, he has ignored it. There, he wondered why there is a new moon in heaven. Moreover, as he has pulled the net. It is very heavy. Therefore, he finds another guy who would help him. Upon pulling the net, they expect that there is a crocodile or shark. As they put in the boat. Surprisingly, they saw a shark. They don’t really believe it. What they have thought; it has been made by the bad spirit.

In the house, they had opened their stomach yet the fisherman could not. Therefore, the three people have helped him; to open the stomach. Surprisingly, Leah is inside the stomach. Therefore, they are very shocked to see her. Her physical appearance has changed and she looks like a siren. They could still identify her because her face and noise does not change yet. They do want the community leader to witness what they have got inside the shark. However, the rain continues to fall. Hence, they are still waiting until the rain stops.

When Steven learns of it, he visits Rayana, Lee’s place. There, the people got shocked, and then, they did not believe the arrival of Leah. Actually, they think that she was created by the king on the sea; to kill the people in the land. Some people have believed that she is a siren which was eaten by the snake because the snake is hungry. In general, they are very confused about what they have witnessed.

Everyday, there are a lot of people who have visited the fisherman's man. They did not believe what they had seen. With that, Leah's friend who had expected that she was dying already. They have visited her.

As Steven arrives at the fisherman’s house. Unfortunately, he does not see her. The fisherman has told him that he had been returning to her mother. Thus, he goes directly to her house. Upon arriving, Leah got sick.

Steven, “I am very happy that you’re back. I did not expect that you would be back here. In response, she has not replied to him yet, she smiles only in front of him. At this time, Steven has brought several fruits for her.

“ Lee, I would give these fruits to you. As she has started to eat these sweet fruits. Unfortunately, she removes the fruits of what she has eaten. In short, she doesn’t like it. He would force her to put on the tongue, but she does not want to eat more. With that, he stopped giving it to her. Afterwards, he leaves professionally to her.

Mrs. Tenyang, a mother of Leah, stays inside her room in the evening. At this time, she tells her that it’s all right for her; to stay without her mother. To her statement, she would not leave inside her room but she would force her to leave because she wants to live peacefully, she has respected her daughter.

Inside the room, Mrs. Tenyang could not sleep early, she wanted to stay outside the door of her daughter; to make her night more stunning like the sunflower which grows beside the green ground.

In the middle of the night, Lee opens the door, she is mad why her mother stays outside her door. And her mother explains to her yet, she does not listen to her. Leah tells her mother to go back to her room because she wants to drink water only in the kitchen.

“ You must stay inside at Tengyang’s room, I am getting mature. I know how to protect my life. And he added, you could trust me at all times. I am a responsible person. With that, she goes to her room, and then she tells her that, “you must not wake up early because she has finished preparing her food for tomorrow.

Lee shows her smile, and then she observes that her mother has woken up. There is someone who tells her to go to the seashore. She does not want to go but her head is in extreme pain. To that, she could not handle it, she wanted to talk to her mother but she did not disturb her. With that, she goes to the seahorse; to stay there since someone has wanted her; to go to the sea. There, she has never felt how cold it is! In fact, she is over the moon when she has seen the waves which have forward to the seahorse.

Once a shining day, Mrs. Tengyang did not wake up early, It’s already 10:00 am, and now it was time for them to eat breakfast. She goes to Leah’s room, her hands knocked several times yet, no one has opened it. Therefore, she has broken the door. Unfortunately, Lee is not around, thus, she calls the Police department.” Mr. Garry, Sir, I would need your help, my daughter has left the house in the middle of the night. Maybe, someone has got her. “

Lee has arrived at the cool place, there are many people who have liked her. And the Police department tells her that “we would investigate this issue before we could give a conclusion to your problem. No worries, I will be helping you; to find your daughter.”

She has discouraged herself because the Pulis department does not give any sense to her problem. The Pulis department has remembered her that she was the one who had told the Pulis that he has raped her daughter. On the other hand, Robert has arrived from Birmingham, United Kingdom. He knows about this situation from Leah. He confronts Steven directly, his cousin. He did not believe what he knew. They go to the house of Leah. Upon arriving, they are so shocked because Mrs. Tentang becomes insane. Thus, they have decided to go home, while walking in the street. Alfred and Catherine have seen them; hence, they have called on them.

“Oh! my friend, welcome to the Philippines. How are you? Albert replies, ``I am good, how about you?”

At this time, they have decided to visit the seashore in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, they are talking about Lee regarding her current status. That time, they go to the cottage.

Beside the seashore, there is a giant stone. Upon looking at it; luckily, Steven has seen only her. However, Alfred, Catherine, and Robert did not see her. Hence, they approached the woman. Steven captures her. When Steven tries to share with them. Unfortunately, they would not see that she is human. Confidently, Steven tries to touch her but the siren would pull him to the sea. Thus, Alfred, Catherine, and Robert have worried about him. In fact, they did not see him on the surface of the water. Robert goes to the water he has tried to find. However, he does not find him. Alfred has told him to go back, they want to leave the place. And Catherine tells them that the shark eats him. They are worrying about him. Despite this, they have left the seashore.

In the part of Steven,

“Why do you hold me? I want to stay in the land. I cannot breathe it,” he said.

“ I want to be with you,” he said.

“Fortunately, Steven brings balde, and then he tries to pull it into his body. Thus, Lee stops holding him, he wants to escape from her but he can’t.

He has stayed away from her. Mr. Norman, the oldest fisherman sees him. Thus, he saves him. At this point of time, Mr. Alfred and Robert have told to Steven’s father,

Sir, Steven is abducted by the siren on the sea. Randy replies, I would blame you if he won’t be back here. With that, he reveals this information to Lensing, a leader in the community. We would ask for your help, Steven gets by the siren on the sea. He replies, we would help you; to find him. By the way, why was he abducted by the siren? And Alfred replies, yesterday sir. Okay, we would do our best as leaders to our community.

While Alfred is walking on the street, they see that the house of Leah is burning. (Mrs. Tenyang wants to eat food. Thus, she makes a fire. However, she does not control it nor does she ignore it.) Thus, she is dying inside the house through the fire. At this occurrence, the community leaders did not go there; to take action because the people who are near to her house did not the community leader yet, some of them are happy; they believe that Mrs. Tenyang is a ghost, whereas few of the people are crying. They could not accept how she had cooked by fire. The fire is near to end. That’s the time the community leaders have arrived. They are furious why the individuals did not inform them yet, the individuals did not answer their questions. The community leaders tell them that there is no unity to this barangay.

In the afternoon, Norland, the son of Mrs. Tenyang arrived in the Philippines from Africa. He has brought many gifts and foods to his mother and sister. He has expected that they have stayed in the house. He has missed them, imagine he did not go back to the Philippines within 10 years, he just to work for his family.

Upon arriving at his house, he saw “the bone of his mother”. He is very sad to his mother. He asks his neighbors. And they told him that she had died due to fire. And then, her daughter did not go back 20 days ago. We know that she goes back to the sea. And asked him, why did the community leader not give any action about my mother and sister. It’s really unfair, in the community they must take any responsibility that has happened to our society. However, they did not do that. What’s the problem with my family? At this time, he is crying. Therefore, the neighbors have felt pity on him. They have offered to place the dead body of her in the hall. So the community could see her presence even if it was bone. There, the people have seen her yet, they have reflected on how hurt it is. At this time, he does not want to bury her yet, the people are disagreeing on his plan.

In the morning, Robert goes to the seashore; to find his cousin. In the cottage, he has seen the clothes of Steven. Thus, he is expecting that he is around. Below the table, there is a long box. He wants to go home yet, someone moves inside the box .He believes that is, ghost or bad spirit . He wants to throw it but the box is very heavy; he doesn’t have sufficient energy to pull it. Therefore, he has tried who or what is inside the box. He sees the legs of a man. Thus, he is afraid to get him. He has left the box. While walking in the pathway, he remembers a man who is inside the box. Alfred does not want to go home. He wants to go back to the cottage.

There, he opens the box. Surprisingly, Steven is inside the box. Thus, he is on the top of the world. He has shown him how he has missed him. But Steven does not show him that he misses his friend. Since, Steven does not have any clothes. Thus, Alfred calls his father to bring clothes and food for him. Randy is very happy to hear about this news. And he tells him how innocent and a good survivor he was. He does not force him to come to the beach yet, the father tells him, you must buy clothes and food for him. I still need to go to the office, because there is an emergency. But Alfred tells him to prioritize his son rather than his work.

Afterwards, he called Catherine and Robert to be here.

He tells Catherine, just hurry.

And she replies, I would go there immediately.

And he replies it’s wonderful to hear, and you may bring food and fruits for him.

And she replies, yes I will , would we bring him to his house?

Alfred replies , I don’t know, we will just wait for his father. We will follow whatever the decision of his father. There, he is waiting on them while he is talking to Steven. The temperature is extremely cold. They want to sleep, there is no bed. With that, Steven enters the box again since his father has not arrived yet.
