Chapter-17 Mr. Randy is gladly seeing to Steven
. The people in the community have thought that the rain will not end. Moreover, the thunder has always flashes its light to the ground. Therefore, they have stayed inside their house. There, they have watched TV for the updates while Mr. Randy has thought that it’s better for them to go back to the Philippines; to save their lives from it, and his son has told him that it’s just rain and thunder. To that, there is a big possibility that it will end later. And his father replies that it will end but it may affect the people who do not have a big house. In short, he is not concerned to himself but to the other people who have lived in this country. In spite of the bad experience that they have experienced today. Fortunately, the next day. Mr. Randy and Steven are taking their time for their bonding.
Mr. Randy has enjoyed his day with his son. He has slept inside his apartment and then, on the outside ; there is a guard who has watched him. They lived peacefully in the apartment rather than staying in their house. Mr. Randy has planned to sell his house. Some people would like to buy it. However, they have observed that there is a ghost in the middle of the night.
To that, Mr. Randy has informed his son that they will sell their house in the Philippines; they could not take it and Mr Randy does not want to find someone who will take care of their things in that country. And Steven angrily tells his father not to sell it even if there is a ghost in the house; he believes that ghost will leave soon if there will be someone who shall live in their house. Moreover, he has convinced his father that he will have a partner soon. He may bring his wife in the house with his son and daughter.
And Mr. Randy replies that he wants to sell it because he had believed the ghost; before he had seen a ghost in the house.
And Steven tells him that, whatever your decision I will not support it, we really do not know in the future. To that, Mr. Randy has offered him, he will buy a car, if Steven will allow; to sell their house in the Philippines. Nevertheless, his son has declined his decision; he will still have planned for it soon. And then, he does not have any interest in having a car as long as the house will not be sold to anyone in the Philippines.
( Mr. Randy has confused his son; he thinks more ways for him to convince his son. At this time, he has realized that his son has a better future to his life even if he came the sea )
In the morning, Mrs. Randy hired a new helper for his son; he could not prepare food for him because he is already 66 years old. He wants to live with peace and love. He wants to take his rest. As his son knows it, he tells him that to have another helper is expensive. He has suggested to his father that he may let him be dependent on his life. In relation to that, he had lived under the sea yet, he has still survived now. He wants to make better things in his life. And Mr. Randy is happy for his son. He had realized that when Steven had been gone, it could still help me to be a dependent person unlike when he had stayed with him before. And Steven tells him that his experience that he had been experienced on the water was help him to move forward his life in the future. Moreover, it would give a value; to value his action without thinking of the possibility.
On the other hand, A;bertbert and Lee have dated to the area where the light is still shining on the sea. They would love to stay in this area due to the less distractions, and then they believe that the sun and moon have watched and guarded them in the middle of the night. They have thought that Steven won’t be back in the sea. And Leah tells him that she has loved Steven but he has gone. And she has told him that she really hates the people in the land. Steven would not be back if the fishermen had not put their nets on the sea. And Steven replies, it’s really normal for the human beings to put their nets because that is their four source big income, how will they survive without living catching the fish on the sea. At this time, they are arguing about that issue.
Robert tells her that he would go back to the land. And Leah got mad at him. To her action, he tells her that okay, let us continue our date. And Leah simples when she has heard that statement.
Occasionally, there are few fishes near to the net where they have stayed. When Leah was seen on the net; she got furious. And Robert has remembered to the net; he puts his mind to enter there whereas Leah believes that she would enjoy her life with him on the sea. Robert tells her that he has missed his sweetheart on the land but he still misses her; he also loves her. And Lee tells him that she does have feelings for him even when they were in the land.
She had admired and wished to be the girlfriend of Robert, but she was so shy; she was still connected with Steven. And he tells her that, to have a girlfriend is better but when the sweetheart will leave soon. It will hurt. And Leah tells him, no I will not leave you soon. And he replies, it’s easy to say that but to hold the relationship is hard. In short, he implies that he wants to have a serious and lifetime relationship. If not, he would not be ready to enter it again.
“ Life is temporary. Paradoxically, love would stay forever even if the light may close soon.”
“Love is the power of human values. It could change the attitude and behavior of the person”
“ When someone will leave you. There may be another someone who will stay with you. In short, the world will be changing from time to time. But Leah has pledged to herself that she would not choose another man.”
These three quotes which were emphasized by Leah during their dating. And Robert tells her that, she would be guided at all time
At this time, the king looked at them. But he could not find them. He wants to talk to Lee about their plan now and in the future. After he has looked on them to the right side. Thus, he has transferred to the other side. At this time, he did not find them. Therefore, he has called the guard and leaders to find Leah and Robert on the sea. After they have left, the shark has passed, the shark tells him that they have stayed in their room. Therefore, the king has ceased to find them. And then, he has requested the shark to find the guard and leaders; he had already commanded them to find Albert and Lee. On the other hand, Mr. Randy has prepared a ticket for himself and his son; to fly to England. In the evening, Steven wants to escape from there. However, the guard and the helper found him. His father has told him that he must not go back to the sea; he does not have a better future there. He further tells him that in England, you will be happier to stay than on the sea.
His son does not answer him. After 1 hour, they are already in the airport. There, Mr. Randy has prayed and wished that they will be successful in England with his son.
( Today, Mr. Randy is thankful that he has brought his son to another country. Moreover, he has admired what Ricky, the fisherman, has taken his responsibility to Steven even if he is not his son. And then, he has realized that Steven’s friends are not his real friends but bad friends because they did not visit him. Unknowingly, Steven’ friends are not yet in the town except Menchie; she had already visited his sin when Mr. Randy has not arrived in the Philippines yet.)
In the morning, Menchie goes to the house. However, he is not around. So, she has waited for him beside the gate but Steven does not come. She believes that Steven has gone to the city; to find his father. Afterwards, she thinks that he goes to the sea; to wait for Lee. And then, she thinks that the community leaders have brought him to the hall; they can monitor him at all times. While waiting beside the gate, she realized to go to Ricky’s house. As she has arrived at Ricky's house. There, he has entertained her.
She tells him that she is here, to ask where Steven is now. And Ricky replies to her that he has already traveled to England. And she asked him, oh! It’s sad to hear but I’m still happy; he cannot go back to the sea. And Ricky replies, yes definitely, that’s my advice to his father. Actually, Steven would really love to stay here, but Mr. Randy has brought him to England; he believes that his son does not have a good future here.
And Che replies that he is very fortunate here but he has followed his heart; to love Leah. If he did not love her, then he would be successful because he has already started his business here. At this time, the rain is coming. Therefore, she decides to go home.
On the other hand, Clear has arrived at the house with the fisherman. As Che goes home. Upon arriving, she has seen Clear who is staying outside their house. She is very happy about her presence.
And Clear has told her that he had already planned to go home before. However, she got an illness. She has shared to her what happened to her on the sea as well as on the island. To that, Menchie is very sad to hear her experience. After they are talking about the experience of her cousin. Clear has taken her rest. And Menchie has realized that the statement Alfred made about her cousin before was true. Therefore, she has regretted what she had told Alfred.
After Clear has woken up, she has asked about Robert. And Menchie tells her that he had already gone to the town. Now, he had stayed on the sea. And she tells her that she is not sure if Robert is still alive. And his cousin tells her that she was expecting before that Menchie and Robert had already married from each other. And then they already had kids. And she replies, it’s just ironic. Afterwards, Clear tells Menchie about her bad experiences more. Thus, she feels pithy on her after Clear had told her that she did not eat food everyday on the island.
At the time, they have forgotten that the fisherman is still staying outside their house; he is waiting for them; Clear had promised the fisherman to give money. As Clear has appeared out of the window; she sees that the fisherman is still waiting on her. There, she goes to the gate and she lets the fisherman enter the house. There, Che gave money to the fisherman. Then, Che and Clear gave thanks to the fisherman for his help.
On the other hand, Albert and Lee are on the top of the world. As they have seen that, there are many foods inside the net. To that, Albert wants to enter; to eat the food, but Leah does not want to enter even if she likes the food that she has seen inside the net. However, he does not listen to her. So, he enters the net. To his presence inside the net, Lee tells him to go out and to bring the food. Suddenly, Albert cannot find where he has entered.
To the situation of Mr. Randy after he has bought a ticket for them; to travel in England. He tells his son that he would give him a business and own a car in England.
To that, Steven is very excited to go there. Last night in the Philippines, Randy was worried , he did not see Steven inside the room. The guard may try to find him. Fortunately, he has found him in the pathway; he is waiting for the vehicle to go to the sea.
