Jessica rakes her brain to have an idea of what to do, she tries composing herself but it will be too suspicious to see her dressed in her everyday house wears in Xander's condominium, a short and a big t-shirt, she doesn't want to hide because her shoes are at the doorstep of Xander, which means Emily must have noticed it.
Hi Mom, what are you doing here? When did you get out of the hospital? Asked Jessica as soon as she take the door, Xander didn't move from the couch, it's a good thing that, they haven't done anything silly.
Emily's face is far from anything Friendly, she raised her eyebrows as she speaks. What am I doing here? You tell me, what are you doing here and you haven't visited me at the hospital all my stay there? Then her eyes run through Jessica's wears, although her dress is out of place, Xander is completely groomed, which means he went out before now. Aren't you supposed to be working?
Uh... Jessica hate to lie to Emily, she was good to her, Alexia and her parents were nice to her, and they treated her as family, she wish not to lie to them nor hurt their feelings but what happened when love comes into a relationship and she picks love, love that, she is not proud to show off in public, love that she might not have at the end of the day.
Oh! I was around the corner and I decide to check on Xander, then I noticed that he hadn't been eating well, so I decided to make him something to eat before going back home. Jessica explained as she walked behind Emily who is seated comfortably right now and staring at Xander.

Oh, I also thought the same thing, I know he must be neglecting himself, that is the reason, I brought him these dishes, I know you like them and I don't want Alexia to show up, only to see her man turned the shadow of himself. Emily said then stand to grab the things.

It isn't a bother, I want to care for you, now that Alexia is not around. She pulled the refrigerator and then look at the stuff, her eyes move to Jessica and then Xander. Why is there so much lime juice in here? I know you don't like it. She asked as her eyes move back to Jessica, she is aware that, Jessica's favorite juice is lime and she stocked that much in the fridge, which simply means she spend time there.
Jessica looks at Xander with her face all pale for assistance. Oh, that, before Alexia left, she was complaining about my excess taking in of sweets, so I am trying of cutting it down and having my system flash, so Jessica recommended it.
Oh, Alexia said something about that, that silly girl, I think she was worried about your health and your sugar level. Jessica gasped in relief, knowing that, Emily buy the idea.

No, I came with my driver, don't you think I should be the one asking you that, staying alone with a man that is not your husband or fiancee this late, it's not too good, I think you should be thinking of going home.

Emily said as she look at Jessica, as she held the doorknob, she gave one last glance to Jessica before pulling the door and leaving, she is suspicious about Jessica and Xander, she doesn't like the way she saw Jessica dress under the same roof with Xander, fine, she knows Jessica and Xander, including her daughter have been close friends but the truth is, since Xander and Alexia are getting married, she saw no reason while Jessica will still act like Xander is still very much close to him.
Just maybe, she is overreacting, she didn't see them in any compromising situation, and Xander is completely groomed if they were hiding something from her then she will not have appeared in front of her.
