Chapter 78: Chapter 78
Alex and Ms. Zee watch the youngest stuff her mouth with three sandwich bites worth of food. She looked as though she was deprived of three days of food with that bite. As she chewed and minded her own business, she caught Alex and Ms. Zee staring at her with wide eyes.
"What?"
"Uh... nevermind." Saying, Alex gets back to focusing on his own plate while Ms. Zee disappears into the kitchen.
"Bye guys!" She waves at her 'brothers', watching Zayn make silly faces of her moaning face from last night. She closes her eyes in despair, shaking her head at the fully grown adult stuck in the teenage body as she enters the car.
"Good day, Mr. Ronald!" Cassandra chirps.
"Oh, good day dear!" Says the old man as well.
Peter and Cassandra meet up at their desks again. Slowly, they were bonding and becoming friends. Peter discovered that Cassandra might be one of the more jovial and fun-loving ones than anyone else.
So, he makes a plan with her and another mutual friend named Kristen to go to the arcade together and have some fun before exams began.
"Let's go!" At the end of the school day, Cassandra invites as she says, "My driver will take us there!"
Mr. Ronald comes to pick her up as he takes her bag as usual from the past two days.
"Oh my, this is so sweet! Cassie, your driver man is so sweet ugh! I'm diabetic!" Says Peter as the old man chuckles, his eyes crinkling with laughter and glee.
"Ah! That's because Ms. Cassandra is our princess!" Said that, Cassandra mimics a royal bow as they finally enter the car.
Someone was watching everything with a a hawk-eye vision and blood boiling with an unsettling emotion. Was she jealous of someone who was obviously poorer than her?
For sure, Zayn and the Johnsons had some connection with Cassandra, she thought.
'Maybe she's their mutual bitch.' She thought again.
However, Zayn gets a text from his girlfriend that she will be home late. She sends a selfie she takes with the two in the car, on their way to the arcade.
[Have fun and stay safe, k?
If you want anything, text any of us] He texts like an old man. Obviously, he was 35 in his generation.
"Guys, we're gonna have a blast today!" The excited little cub says as the two rejoice with her.
They enter the arcade, inviting Mr. Ronald as well but he says his old soul cannot keep up with their teenage energy. Bidding goodbye, they explore the arcade games for the next several hours for the day.
At 8:45 approximately, Kristen gets a call from her father, demanding her to be home as early as possible.
Hence, Cassandra makes it her duty to drop them all off at their places and thanks Mr. Ronald sincerely for today.
"Thank you, Ronald. Today was one of the best days of my life." Says Cassandra. The male pats her hand softly and leaves for the day, heading home to his own family after submitting the keys to her.
"Hey, sis! How was your day?" Dan approaches and asks her.
"It was great! Hey, Nick!" Catching the attention of the brother, she throws a video game CD to him.
"Thought you'd like it." She says to the guy who had a towel around his neck, casually strolling around the house. His eyes turn into two big balls of illumination as he runs towards her with a gigantic smile.
"I was going to buy this game! Thanks!" He hugs her, clinging to her.
"Your welcome haha." After then, she talks to her brothers for awhile at dinner and goes back to her room to study.
Suddenly, she was yearning for some fatherly love. She checks the time on her laptop. It was eleven in the night. No way Framton would stay awake for such a long time, she thought.
"I guess I'll call Louis." She says to herself.
On the other side of the city, Louis was in the bed of an executive's daughter. They were hooking up after a meeting he had to attend today.
He was pounding the woman when his phone rings, forcing him to pull out of the woman and fish out his phone from his pocket. He furrows his eyebrows, wondering why his baby sister would call him at an odd hour. Concerned if something happened to her, he presses the green button.
"Hey,"
"Yo, you're busy?" He looks back at the question. He scratches the back of his neck as he says.
"Yeah, a little. What happened?" He asks her.
"Oh." Her emotion passed through the line as he knew right away what she wanted.
"You want me to come over?" He asks her.
"That'd be nice but—"
"I'm not that busy. Give me half an hour." He states, smiling when she excitedly says "Okay!"
He goes back to the bed, to finish what was started.
As promised, he halts his car in front of the house. He didn't want to disturb his other brothers, but wouldn't actually mind spending some quality time with them again. Late night drives like these are the best.
As he was about to make a call, the girl comes out of the main door herself.
"Oh hey." He cuts the ongoing call, opening the door for her.
"Let's go!"
"To where?" He says while chuckling, but driving anyway.
"Hmm... anywhere with night life energy and food!" He chuckles again. Pinching her nose deemed irresistible for him. He goes ahead and does as his body wanted to.
"Okay, my cute little princess." He says.
Indeed, his hands automatically steers the wheel for a few minutes as they reach a small 24/7 cafe.
"I'll have whatever is fresh and a watermelon juice, please." He orders for himself.
"And I'll take two donuts, one pineapple pastry and pineapple juice!" She says. Louis watches her with furrowed eyebrows as Cassandra was fishing out her wallet as well.
"Whoa. What do you think you're doing?" He asks her, sternly but playfully.
"Paying?" She utters innocently.
"Since when did I allow you to pay for things, Cassie? Keep it back." He says. Suddenly, Cassandra sees her own stern and stoic brother in Louis.
A giant apologetic smile takes over her features as he pats her head.
"Good sister." He comments, the girl blushing profusely.
