Chapter 31: Chapter 31

Cassandra and Zayn dress up to meet with someone important today. Cassandra didn't tell Zayn anything about the start up she had been planning for a week now and since her reputation demanded it, she was given a big start up with huge promotional offers right off the bat. She wanted Zayn to be involved, to cut the silence as they walked down the street.

"Say, Zayn. If I was a boss of a company, what post would you like to take?" She asks vaguely, knowing he won't feel inferior to her.

"Oh, that. Maybe I'll be your assistant or general manager to be closer to you. If you have a separate cabin, then I'm staying right beside you." He says.

"And for what?" She asks in a sultry voice, not afraid that people around her will understand the foreign language.

"To fuck the boss whenever and wherever she likes me to." He says and the girl starts blushing infrared. He almost was down bad to PDA in front of everyone, but she stops him and improves pace of their walking before he implements his headful of ideas.

There is a tyre screeching sound that pulls out gasps from all the pedestrians. Through induced trauma from before, Cassandra stops in her place all at once. Zayn was shocked to see her defeated stature. Out of all, Cassandra would be the one to run away and be safe, but as the flying cars were approaching, there she was like a statue.

"Cassie!" He shouts, himself being traumatized by the way people were crushed under the weight of flying cars. Anyone would have been shocked and traumatized, though for the weak hearted might even get a stroke in the middle of the mishap.

The whole scene was making Zayn lose his mind. He was not given even a second to think what to do in that bizarre situation.

Just then, they see a car flying towards them. What will he do now? Cassie was like a statue and get can't jump on the injured around them at all. His hands through the jacket were already bruised because of the shards of glass that exploded on them from the damaged cars.

"I accept my fate.

Dad... I'm sorry. I couldn't keep her safe."
