Chapter 171: Chapter 171

Cassandra grew up to become a very beautiful woman. Unlike her old mother Ravine, Cassandra concentrated greatly on her body shape. By the time she was fifteen, she was already having big bazookas on her body.

She was desired by many men and women of the community. She was a little tan with traveling with her mother, and a little shorter than her mother as well.

Currently, they were at Hawaii as they remember their lost child.

It's been eleven years since, the Canadian police still couldn't find the child's body to report even.

Ravine was on a beach chair as her daughter hugs her gently. She caresses her hair, feeling the sun burn their legs which were out of the umbrella's shadow's range.

"What are you so happy about, kid?" The old woman asks Cassandra as she chuckles and hides herself in her mother's chest.

"I can't believe I'm starting college next week, mama. I'm so happy to be a high school student!" She innocent says to her mother.

"I'm happy for you, darling. You've studied well for the entrance exams, right?"

"Yes mom, I did." In fact, a lot more.

Cassandra turned eleven and quickly started using her mother's phone to search for the name that was in her head forever.

Ravine still had Louis's contact, also other Johnson's numbers saved in her directory. Her heart thumped too loud, but that day, the God of Death warned her irreversible consequences of wanting to meet the Professor of the St. Xebec's academy.

Zayn Johnson was a Professor, waiting for the girl to show up when time came.

The God of Death indicated the same to him.

That if they meet before the destined meeting of theirs, timelines are going to form a variant which cannot be controlled. The whole universe shall tilt off of its directional axis.

Cassandra and Zayn wouldn't want that.

And after years and years of yearning for the day they would meet each other, one week was like a passing cloud to them.

They felt extremely excited, thrilled even.

After all the things they have gone through together, fighting through the odds and living in two different eras, Cassandra and Zayn promised to each other to never forget about each other.

On the other hand, the 35 year old man was attending Riley's, his cousin's wedding.

His huge family of Johnsons questioned him throughout the years about his decision to stay unmarried. He couldn't explain them, that he was waiting for the right one to come into his life.

Looking back, Zayn had no one in the estate other than his mother and his father. It looked so lonely, like a haunted house to him. For years together, he believed that loneliness was the ultimate weapon to grow a person's personality.

He realized how flawed his thoughts were before the swap and saving had happened.

The Johnson Estate now housed 17 members and five different families all together. Zayn loved his family. He was willing to give his life for his family.

But just once, only once...he would want to meet his lover with whom everything was possible.

He was thankful for her sacrifices every day and every second of his life.

As he gazes at his family, he often thanks her subtly, closing his eyes and praying with a smile.

Riley was getting married to a beautiful, tall and elegant Oiko Yelene, a daughter of the nobleman Jonas. Gracie walks to her son who was watching his cousin lift his newlywed wife up in a bridal style.

"Hey, darling. Do you want to get married too? I know you want to after seeing th—"

"Mama." Chuckling, the 35 year old man turns towards Gracie who holds his face.

"I want to find the one I love. You told me you will accept her, whoever she might be."

"I did say that," Gracie swipes her thumbs against his cheeks. Nick appears from behind her, holding his wife's waist as he looks at his son.

"Now now, let him live a little Gracie. He's a Professor now. He's got more knowledge about love than we have. Isn't it, professor?" Zayn gently smiles at his father as he pulls his parents into an embrace.

"I'm happy to be your son, mama. And papa, thank you for making me your son." Cooing at her sunshine, the old woman pats him on his back as she begins to shed tears of happiness.

"Come on, let's give him the gift." And as a Johnson, they've spoiled the newlyweds to no limits.

The wedding has come to an end as they watch the lovely couple run towards their honeymoon car, hand in hand and in love.

It was at night as the Johnsons come back home.

Zayn was in his room in the large mansion as he nibbled on popcorn.

He couldn't wait to see his lover again.

One week more.

Just a week apart...

Cassandra celebrates with her mother about her results. She was invited to the high school, a prestigious academy. Ever since a Johnson was rumoured to be a Professor in the academic campus, the office of admissions were more than exhausted every year with the number of applications they receive.

He was famous internationally as well, leaving all celebrities to the smaller headlines.

It was unimaginably tough to get into the institution, more so because it was only for the rich kids.

Cassandra and Zayn both held onto the hope that they would meet here again.

She was 17 and he was 35.

The same fateful ages when they've originally met.

And in June when the academy reopened, welcomed it's new students for orientation, Cassandra couldn't stop her heart from beating out of her chest.

She was back in her original body, having her original thoughts and loving her life more than anything.

She's made friends and she's made enemies as well.

But what was more important that she made her mother proud. She had established an unwavering bond with her mother who turned out to be the loveliest woman she ever knew.

Maybe age comes with wisdom, and now the same Ravine of the past was here, winning the best mom title from her mother.

Cassandra was ashamed that her mother resembled Ravine so much in the past as well, before the missions of saving the Johnsons.

She held no grudge against anyone for taking her brother and best friend away from her. Instead, she was blessed with a loving mother she never had before.

And as she entered the premises, someone was eagerly looking out for her in the corridors.

"Whoa, oh— sir..." the student sees the man who hastily rushes through the mob of students. Zayn was swimming through the crowd, trying to search for that one face he would never forget.

Cassandra felt her heart stopping for a lonesome second. Tears of happiness rolled down her eyes.

They were only a few people apart.

But more importantly, they were meeting again.

It was their destiny.

Zayn looks at her. His eyes were full of unshed tears as well.

Amongst the dynamic crowd, their world moved slowly, as if they had all the time to spare between them.

Cassandra slowly walks towards him.

In her mind, he looked like a mirage, a product of her yearning him too much.

But...it was real.

He was real.

She was real.

They've been waiting to meet for twelve long years, and when they do, they fall in into each other's shadow's as they reintroduce themselves.

"Hi...Zayn Johnson."

"Hello, Cassandra..."
