Chapter 159: Chapter 159
A/n: You wouldn't even guess what's going down from here onwards. Stay tuned and happy reading!
"Ravine!" Eugene forces the woman to open the door.
Ravine had painted the water with her tears. She sobbed her heart out silently, as if she was afraid the air would hear her cry and begin to judge her by her actions.
"Huh?" Eugene was confused when the woman who opens the door yawns.
"What the fuck..."
"I'm sorry I...I fell asleep in your bathroom."
"Please don't tell me you did drugs in there."
"N-no...I am a heavy sleeper though. I heard someone crying and I woke up to those sounds. Who was it?" Ravine foolishly asks the man who shakes his head.
"I know what was going on in there." Eugene touches her pink dusted face. Her eyes were swollen and her nose was red. She had glistening eyes as well.
"Don't try to fool me, woman. By the way, your friend told me she is Cassandra Johnson. She's coming over." Ravine falls to the knees as she hears Eugene.
"I can't...I can't face her!" She cries.
"You have to. Especially when you were choosing to leave her like that. I understand that she was totally concerned for you, as your best friend. You can't leave her in the dark like that. Especially when she is going through something unthinkable. I've read the news today."
Ravine wails louder as Eugene steps inside the bathroom. He drains off all the tear filled water from the bathtub and begins searching for something.
"Where is it?" He asks her in a low voice. Ravine crawls to the side of the wall, leaning against it.
"Where is what?" She questions him back.
"The blade. Whatever you were intending to use on your stupid self." The man asks.
"What are you going to do with it?"
"Commit your murder. Would you fucking tell me where it is?" His words makes her surprised as she tells him she's hidden it under the sink.
He walks back to her with the same blade.
He sits in front of her, playing with the blade as well.
"I want you to watch me very, very carefully." The man says.
"Hmm..." she was looking at his actions curiously.
Eugene lifts the blade up as it was between their faces.
Ravine watches carefully as the blade was being bent over until it snaps. She hisses when the blade pierces his skin, blood drips down on the floor as Ravine stares at him with her jaw dropped.
"Why...?" Hissing in pain, the man looks at her who was questioning his action of snapping the blade in two.
"I want you to learn in your dumb fucking head that giving up is not the last resort. It was just a blade that I snapped, because it was just a darn blade. When someone tries to destroy it, that thing doesn't have the property of resilience like... like rubber. It's gonna snap." The man says.
Ravine was staring at him who was standing up to throw the pieces out and wash his bloody hands as well.
"But...everyone has a point, right? Everyone has that point of snapping into two and giving up."
"Yup we all do. But that's dehumanizing yourself to fucking things again. Just think about it. If we never had cognition to forgive and forget and things like that, we wouldn't exist as people anymore. We would be an extinct species within the start of manhood." He pauses to hiss as cold water begins to run across his cut skin.
"We aren't mere things, Ravine. We won't let people destroy us because we have something called as persona. If that is destroyed, something called ego takes it's place and tries to keep us safe. Can you imagine? We have billions and trillions of cells in our body and all they want to feel is the feeling of being alive. You have no right to snatch that away from them." As he speaks, Ravine's lower lip wobbles in unbearable amount of regret and guilt.
"I'm sorry..." she cries in front of the man.
"I'm sorry..." she says again.
"Do say it for yourself. And I am going to feel sorry for you once madam Johnson comes here. You have nowhere to run but face her wrath. She sounded fucking mad on the phone." Ravine cries louder as Eugene talked about Cassandra.
It's been minutes since.
Ravine calms down to sniffles as they wait for Cassandra.
"H-how are you so good at explaining life to a person like me? I want to live now, because of you." She says to the man.
"Hmm," he hums. Something makes him smile.
"I'm an author by profession. It's a professional hazard to beat life into my readers who are like yourself." Eugene says as Ravine smiles in a shaky manner.
"Do you want to feel alive?"
"More than this?" Eugene nods at her.
"I'm taking my clothes off. If you don't want to follow me, just don't." Proceeding to take his clothes off, Eugene stands up naked in front of her. Suddenly, Ravine felt embarrassed but something in her told her that she would like to get naked as well.
As she removes her clothes, the cold December wind in the room kisses her skin.
"Shit, it's cold."
"I know right. Come." Holding her hand, Eugene takes her towards the backyard as she screams softly.
"It's cold!" She shrieks. She felt her bladder wanting a release as she informs him and runs back inside. He demanded her to keep the door open as she did her business and walked back into the room.
"You're crazy!" She yells in his face.
"Am I now?" Eugene suddenly pulls the girl close to his body by her waist. Struck with surprise, Ravine stares into his big brown eyes as she finally could see.
His tall physique and an amazing personality was nothing short of a protagonist of a romance novel. He was as tall as Louis, but a little slender and less muscular. He was, however, in possession of the clearest and divine level of skin she has ever seen on a man.
He was so mesmerizing in her eyes
And at that moment, someone was being a little too excited as a few drops of arousal slides down her thighs.
[A/n: I'm sorry, but you guys HAVE to watch this movie called Nymphomaniac. It's a masterpiece, especially for psychology students like myself♡]
