Chapter 93: Chapter 93

Jason's POV

After a restless night, I was eager to see her the next morning. To say that I wanted to kiss her again would be an understatement. I wanted to devour her, I needed to get stay drunk in her sweetness forever. I was simply addicted to her!

I strolled over to aunt Emily's house and waited for her to come down. This was becoming a ritual for me and I was becoming creepier but I couldn't help myself. Six years was a long wait!

"Good morning, Jason! Coffee?" asked aunt Emily and I nodded eagerly. I would have stayed till lunch if she had just asked. It was a lazy Saturday and I knew she didn't have college. I was dying to know what her plans were for the day. If she didn't have anything up her sleeves for today, I could take her sightseeing. However, I had to please aunt Emily first so that she gave permission for me to go ahead.

"I can make coffee for all, aunt Emily. Why don't you relax?" I offered and she immediately sank back into the couch with relief. Of course, I could understand her. My mom also hated to make coffee for everyone first thing in the morning. So it was either dad or my older brother, Jordan, and I who made it for her.

"Thanks, son. I'm feeling a little lazy today. I might just have coffee and sleep a little longer," said aunt Emily.

"Yeah, I can order lunch for you if you want me to," I offered, my mind plotting in more ways than one.

Aunt Emily's face brightened up but then a sudden realization hit her. "No, I would have to prepare something for Claire. Nate has brought her up like a princess and she isn't used to eating much fast food. He will be upset with me," said aunt Emily.

"I'm sure she can make herself something," I said with an eye roll.

"No, Jason. You don't understand at all. I don't want to inconvenience her in any way. What if she leaves? I love the girl so much!" she said and I gaped at her wondering what she would do when I whisked Claire from under her nose forever. I plan to marry her after all!

"Then I can take her out sightseeing and then treat her to lunch at a good restaurant. You can also join us, aunt Emily," I offered although I kept my fingers crossed hoping that she would decline.

"That's a good idea. I don't think I have the energy to go out today. Just order something for me," said aunt Emily and I wanted to do a happy dance in my head that my day was made. Now I had to think of a way to convince Claire.

Knowing how stubborn she is, it would be a very difficult task but not an impossible one. Added to that was the fact that she might run for the hills if she saw me after the kiss we shared last night!

I had just made coffee when my body suddenly felt all aroused hearing Claire's voice in the living room. She was awake at last. Now it was time to start my new mission, Woo Claire. I carried three mugs of coffee to the living room and found her standing in front of aunt Emily, stretching her arms and smoldering body. It was obvious that she was unaware of my presence!

"Good morning, Claire!" I breathed noting the huskiness that had crept into my throat. Seeing her in her shorts and crop top had me craving a touch. Her long smooth, never-ending legs were inviting me over. I placed the coffee on the coffee table before I spilled everything and grabbed her instead.

Startled, she whirled around and froze seeing me. "You? What are you doing here early in the morning?" she demanded, her eyes narrowing at me suspiciously while I grinned shamelessly at her reaction. Of course, she had the reason to react that way after the kiss I stole last night from her. I didn't reply to her which made her quite mad! "Aunt Emily, is he homeless?" she asked, sitting beside aunt Emily who just smiled.

"He made coffee for me, Claire. He helps me all the time so this house is his as well. In fact, I was planning to sleep a little more. Why don't you go sightseeing with Jason? Enjoy yourselves instead of staying locked up here for two days," aunt Emily suggested making my work a little less. I sat opposite them and sipped my coffee waiting for Claire's answer.

She gaped at her aunt, avoiding looking at me. "I don't want to bother him. He might have other plans, aunt Emily. In fact, I was thinking of going shopping and maybe a movie later on," she shrugged, still not looking at me.

"I won't be bothered at all. I don't have any other plans," I stated, concentrating on my coffee, lest she saw the earnestness in my eyes. I wanted to beg her to go out with me.

"I won't let you go anywhere alone, Claire. This is a new place as it is. The mall is okay but if you wish to sightsee, go with Jason," said aunt Emily.

"I go to college, aunt Emily. I'll be fine don't worry," she continued stubbornly.

"Then I cannot take your responsibility if you don't listen to me, dear," said aunt Emily while I wanted to do a happy dance in my head.

She looked up at me at last, her eyes searching mine while I gazed at her without batting an eyelid. If we would have been all alone, I would have kissed her senselessly and compelled her to go out with me but now my hands were tied with aunt Emily watching us like a hawk.

"Fine, I'll go with him," she said and I just couldn't help the smile that flashed across my face.

"I'll make breakfast and then we can get going," I offered to divert my mind from its euphoric state. I just couldn't stop myself from planning what we would do together the whole day!

After coffee, she came into the kitchen to help me with breakfast while aunt Emily went to take a quick shower. I had been dying to hold her in my arms since last night and now that I had the chance, how could I let it go? She stood stiffly at one corner, chopping fruits for the salad, glancing at me discreetly every now and then. I wondered if she remembered the kiss we shared last night.

"I agreed just to please aunt Emily, not for any other reason as you might have thought," she said, at last, breaking the awkward silence between us. With the air charged with a strange attraction that was pulling us towards each other, I wondered whether she could feel it too.

"And what exactly do you think I thought?" I asked, turning my full attention upon her. She blushed to the roots of her hair.

"You might think me desperate for a repeat of last night's kiss. It was an accident, okay? It didn't mean anything," she breathed while I lost my cool. What the heck! That kiss was no accident! It was real, as real as the attraction we shared!
