Chapter 95: Chapter 95
Amelia's POV
He got up from the stool and walked up to me, grinning mischievously. "Stop what?" he asked standing behind me, placing his hands lightly on my arm.
"Stop staring," I mumbled. I hoped he didn't hear me, as I felt my cheeks heat up at the awkwardness of the conversation. I made one stuffed omelet with deli ham and veggies and served it on a plate, while the other was getting cooked. I gave him some assorted chopped fruits to munch on. "Here, have this, while I finish up," I said, popping a strawberry into my mouth.
He stared at my mouth like a lion staring at its prey, his eyes darkening with lust.
"I can't stop," he said, trailing his finger along my lower lip. It made my heart start beating so fast as if it would jump out of my rib cage. A sweet sensation invaded my senses and I was powerless to stay in control. I closed my eyes at his touch, my breath hitching.
"Jay, please, let me finish this," I pleaded.
"Please Baby doll, let me finish this," he pleaded instead, but sighed nevertheless and removed his fingers from my mouth. I released the breath that I was holding and concentrated on my cooking instead. It was a difficult feat indeed with him hovering around me.
I finished the second omelet and served it as well. I carried the food to the table while Tristan followed me with the coffee. He sat opposite me, helping himself to the food. "It's too good. Now it's sorted. I'm coming here for breakfast every day," he announced, nodding appreciatively at the food. My eyes widened with surprise. I couldn't go through this torture so early in the morning every day. I would go insane.
"No way, don't you have any work?" I said in mock annoyance, doing a happy dance in my head that he liked my cooking. I reasoned in my mind that I was just feeling happy because he liked my food. It had nothing to do with the fact that he wanted to come over every morning.
"Yeah, but I'm flexible for you baby," he said, winking and I melted at the nickname. I loved the endearments that came off his mouth for me. They made my heart melt. They made me feel as if I was precious to him. We ate while he asked about my boutique and I answered him. Finally, we were done and I checked the time. It was already 8 am. "Oh my God! I'm getting late, Jay. I have to rush to the shop, I have an appointment at 9 o'clock," I said, remembering at the last minute.
"I'll drop you if you want me to. Just get ready," he drawled popping fruits into his mouth.
"Okay, I'll be ready in ten minutes," I said as I cleared the dishes and rinsed them, and put them into the dishwasher. Tristan helped me with it and switched it on. He looked so domesticated, his muscles rippling as he helped me, I could get used to this every day!
I rushed to my bedroom and changed into a navy blue pencil skirt and cream silk shirt and matched them all with a navy blazer. Tying my long hair in a French knot kind of updo, I applied a little moisturizer to my face. Putting on lip gloss, and pearl studs, I was ready.
Tristan eyed me approvingly as I collected my handbag and phone and headed towards the door with Tristan following me.
He dropped me at my shop, reminding me about our dinner.
"Don't be late for our dinner date," he said before driving off. My heart skipped a beat at his words. So it was a date like I had thought. The whole day, I sailed through all my appointments with a happy grin on my face. I was looking forward to our first date together. My heartbeats accelerated every time I thought about it. With Tristan being so impulsive, I had no idea what he had planned for me. Finally, it was evening and I wrapped up my work early and rushed home. My phone vibrated with a message from Tristan.
Wear something casual with comfortable shoes. Carry a warm jacket or something. -J
Okay. Where are we going? -A
You'll see -J
Ugh! I hated surprises, but from his messages, it was clear we weren't going to a boring five-star restaurant for dinner. After a luxurious bath, I went to my closet to select something to wear. I opted for my black Levi's skinny jeans and paired them with an off-white halter neck crochet top without sleeves. I selected a matching off-white soft fleece jacket with decorative buttons. I put on small diamond heart-shaped stud earrings, which were my favorite. Applying a light moisturizer and lip gloss and eyeliner, I left my hair untied. Slipping my feet into a pair of black Chelsea boots I was ready just as the door clicked open and Tristan walked in.
My jaws dropped seeing him looking gorgeous in fitted deep blue washed jeans and a matching black figure-hugging T-shirt. The black leather jacket and black boots he wore, exuded a bad boy vibe which he was anyway. His signature citrus and woody smell and tousled hair through which he kept running his fingers, his jade-green penetrating eyes, all made me tingle with excitement. Oh how I had dreamed of going on a date with him and now it was coming true.
He looked at me approvingly and said, "Looking gorgeous as always." His approval made my heart skip a beat.
"Thanks, so are you," I answered.
He smiled in appreciation, "Ready to go?" he asked me.
"Yeah, where are we going?" I asked knowing he wouldn't tell me.
He smiled and put his forefinger on my lips, "Shhh, wait and watch," he said as he looked at my lips, his fingers lingering there. He removed his touch and led the way out.
I collected my handbag and mobile and locking the main door followed him to his dark blue Mercedes. He opened the door for me and helped me to the seat, his heated gaze scanning me thoroughly, making my cheeks turn pink. He smirked and went to the driver's seat and maneuvered the car smoothly onto the road.
