Chapter 93: Chapter 93
Amelia's POV
The sun's rays streaming through the gap in the curtains had me squinting as I woke up. I smiled happily at the almost real dreams I had of Tristan last night. I needed to get a grip on myself. Then I clutched my heart. Oh! Did I oversleep? Taking out my phone from underneath my pillow, I checked that it was just 6 o'clock in the morning. 'Oh thank God! I'm not late.' I thought with relief. My eyes popped out seeing five messages and two missed calls from Tristan. They were all from last night.
Can we please meet now? -J
Are you ignoring me? - J
Baby doll, I just want to see you -J
Are you asleep? -J
I'm coming. -J
The last message made me sit up, totally alert and all sleepiness disappeared from my eyes. Where was he coming to? Will he visit me at my shop today? I had no clue. Confused and still deep in thought about what he meant by that last message, I went to the washroom to freshen up. Afterward, I headed to the kitchen to make breakfast thinking about my schedule for the day.
A sudden movement in the living room caught my eye and I froze with horror. Was there a burglar in my apartment or was it a ghost? Of course, ghosts didn't come out in the broad daylight. Or did they? Fearing for my life, I went to take a peek. My eyes popped out at the sight of Tristan lying on my sofa, sprawled, with his legs and arms dangling, clad in a pair of black sweatpants and black tee shirt, revealing his biceps and taut muscles. I groaned and blinked four times. Of course, I was hallucinating after dreaming of him the whole night. How else would I imagine him here on my sofa? But then he moved again to make himself comfortable on the sofa which obviously was too small for his large frame. That's when the realization struck me. Tristan was really here!
"Jay? What are you doing here?" I asked when I could find my voice. That I was shocked to see him here would be an understatement. I was flabbergasted actually. I didn't remember opening the door to him last night. Then how did he come in? This was getting creepier day by day. I had no clue as to what was going on!
He opened his sleepy eyes and looked at me and I forgot to breathe. Seeing me he sprang up, his muscles rippling at the movement, sitting upright, looking at me with his lazy eyes. He smirked checking my horrified expression with amusement dancing in his eyes. I didn't miss the way his eyes took me in minutely from head to toe and I rolled my eyes at his reaction. Such a man! But what bothered me was how he could look like a poster boy so early in the morning when my hair was a crow's nest and my eyes were still droopy. I needed another six hours of sleep, no dreams, no Tristan. Only sleep!
"Good morning, sleeping beauty," he drawled, eyeing me mischievously.
"Why are you here? How did you get in? When did you come? I didn't hear you," I kept on firing questions at him curious to get answers. My mind would burst if I didn't get my answers soon.
"Whoa! Easy babe, one at a time," he grinned, obviously loving my riled-up state. "I'm here to see you. I told you I wanted to see you. I said I was coming. Remember?" he reminded me. Oh! So that's what he meant when he mentioned that he was coming! He was coming down to my apartment in the middle of the night to see me! His words made me more confused than ever.
"Yeah, but that was last night. Wasn't it?" I asked with wide eyes and a very confused look on my face.
"Yeah, I came in at midnight. You were asleep, so I didn't wake you up," he said in a tone like it was a normal thing to do. My mouth hung open and I just gaped at him, too dumbfounded to say even a single word. That meant only one thing!
"You spent the night here?" I croaked with disbelief. I knew Tristan was impulsive and unpredictable and it seemed as if he hadn't changed at all!
"Yeah, with you, on your bed. I had the best sleep ever," he grinned mischievously. My jaws now fell to the floor. So it wasn't a dream at all? He was there with me on my bed for real. What about the things we did? Were they for real too? Did I really make out like a wild cat with him? I had to know what exactly we did or else I would go insane!
"No, you didn't," I said, almost to myself. I was still in denial, unable to believe a single thing he said. Was he kidding? Was he bluffing to get me all worked up?
"Yes, I did," grinned Tristan, his eyes blazing with fire. He looked like he loved the memory of last night. "I'd love to do it again and again with you," he added in a husky tone.
I sat down to give support to my trembling legs which couldn't carry my weight any longer. So, I was right. I didn't dream, it was real, he slept with me. I suddenly realized what he just said and a deep blush stained my cheeks at the thought. Did we really do the deed last night? I had to know or I would go insane but how could I ask him? He grinned waiting for me to ask as if he knew what exactly was on my mind.
"Did we, uh, I mean," I had to know if we did anything. I didn't remember anything apart from kissing him and making out a little with him. How could I sleep like a log through it all?
