Chapter 55: Chapter 55

Stefan's POV

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Rosy's soft fluttery snores and it made me smile. She looked so adorable and glowed with happiness. It was the stark opposite of the image I saw when she first entered the hotel lobby. With all the misunderstandings cleared between us, we bonded more with one another. We became true soul mates. For the first time in my life, I didn't feel the pain of remembering my past. I told her everything that I went through without even the slightest hesitation. It was like I was rephrasing some story straight out of a novel. I didn't feel the pain of betrayal at all. I realized that Rosy's love had healed me, it had given me the strength to move on.

The love-making last night was too special as she shed all her inhibitions and initiated it herself. It was quite a feat considering her shy nature and I seemed to love the feel of it. I love this new life with my Rosy. Today she had asked me to accompany her to the lawyer's office. She would have to sign her inheritance papers and she was actually at a loss. I gladly offered her help. I went to freshen up and ordered some coffee and breakfast.

The breakfast arrived and Rosy woke up with a start. "Oh my goodness! I'm late. Why didn't you wake me up? Yumm, the food smells so delicious. I'll just freshen up in a jiffy," she rambled on happily as I stared at her glowing face and se*y body, my organ twitching to life again. Rosy suddenly realized where my eyes were focused and blushed to the roots of her hair realizing that she had no clothes on.

"Creep! Shouldn't you have reminded me?" she scolded me and covering herself with a bedsheet, she glared at me. "Close your eyes. I need to go freshen up," she said making me chuckle.

"Believe me, babe, closing my eyes won't make any difference. I've seen it all and tasted it too. It's etched on my mind. So hurry up and freshen up or else all this delicious breakfast will go into my stomach," I threatened her. It worked as Rosy leaped and picking up her clothes, made a dash for the washroom. I laughed at her cuteness. She was so easy to manipulate!

After a while when she emerged, we ate and discussed the papers that Mr. Campbell had given Rosy. I explained to her what exactly was written on the papers. It seemed that Rosy didn't read them well. "I was so upset that I couldn't concentrate much upon them," said Rosy.

"You should never sign anywhere without thoroughly going through the legal documents, Rosy," I warned her. She nodded. Later we went to Mr. Campbell's office to get the work over and done with.

Rosy introduced me to Mr. Campbell and we shook hands. He asked about my line of business and about my family in New York. He knew my grandfather, having worked with him once while he was in New Jersey. I wanted to check the inheritance papers and understand everything in detail. Mr. Campbell obliged and explained the points that I picked up. At last, Rosy signed the papers. Mr. Campbell was released from his responsibilities of looking after Rosy's finances. We shook hands and parted finally.

We walked hand in hand towards our hotel. It wasn't far away and we had time on our hands. "That went well. Thanks, Stefan. I was really at a loss about this. Now I'll need some finance guy to look after all this for me," said Rosy.

"At your service ma'am," I said with a salute making her eyes widen with disbelief.

"Really? You'd do it for me?" she asked with surprise.

"Why not? But I think you also have studied finance, right?" I asked her out of curiosity.

"Yes, but I'm not very confident about the investment scenario. I can independently handle my dance institute and all its finances but Pops, my grandfather has left me quite a sum and I don't want to make a mess of it," she answered truthfully.

"I understand what you mean. Don't worry, I'll help you," I reassured her. We walked into our hotel to now get ready for our flight. It was just 9:30 in the morning and we had a little time to ourselves. Sinful thoughts started going on in my mind. Could we manage a quickie? It would be quite some time before we reached home. I was still thinking when Rosy greeted someone loudly. I turned to see her embracing a woman and two children.

"Hello Margaret, so good to see you again. I'd be leaving soon and I was just thinking about you and the children," said Rosy, looking so happy that it took my breath away. I realized that this should be her newfound family. She turned to look at me and caught my hand to pull me towards the group.

"Margaret, meet Stefan," she said with a grin. Then turning toward me, she introduced her family to me. "This is Margaret, and those are my siblings, Donald and Diana," she said. The children looked at me with wide scared eyes.

"Hello, sir," they chorused uncomfortably, seeing my expensive suit.

"Call me Stefan, okay?" I asked them with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Stefan. Don't mind me asking you but are you two married?" asked Margaret, searching for the ring on Rosy's finger. She blushed profusely and shook her head.

"We will soon marry," I informed her making her smile approvingly.

"You two look like you're married already, that's why I asked. You two look like you're destined to be together," said Margaret.

"Thanks, Margaret," I said, feeling good that it was so obvious even to strangers.

"Why don't you come upstairs to our room? We have a few minutes at hand. We could catch up. We could order something before we leave," offered Rosy.

"No, no, I don't want to hold you up, Anna. We just came to see you once more since Mr. Campbell told us that you would leave today. The children too wanted to talk to you," said Margaret looking embarrassed.

"It's okay, Margaret. We have time. Let's go upstairs and talk," I said leading all of them upstairs to our room. So much for planning another round with Rosy! Now we could have that only once we reached home.

We went to our room and ordered some snacks and whatever the children wanted to eat. I was glad that we offered them food. The children were indeed very hungry. "Tell Margaret about my offer," I told Rosy. She nodded and told Margaret who listened with wide eyes.

"There's no hurry. You can think about it at leisure and tell me your decision," I told her. Margaret seemed at a loss for words.

"I'm really overwhelmed at your thoughtfulness, Stefan," she said at last.

"Look Margaret, the mansion has a huge expense of its own. I'm planning to shift my dance institute to New York. Even if I didn't, the pay I could offer you wouldn't be much. So if you ask me, New York would be a better option for you. All of you could be closer to me that way," said Rosy.

"Oh, are you settling there permanently?" asked Margaret.

"Yes, Stefan and I will get married and live in New York," said Rosy giving me a warm smile.

"But I can't afford New York. Isn't it too expensive?" asked Margaret.

"I could help you sell the Princeton house and then relocate to New York. You could join a well-paying job at our company. I think you will manage fine," I told her.

"Okay, Stefan. I'm willing to relocate but I'm very lost with all this. You would have to help me with it," she said.

"Sure, leave it all to me. Do you need some money to take care of the expenses till everything shapes up?" I asked her. Margaret hesitated but I knew that she needed it badly.

"You can pay me back when you get the money after selling the mansion," I told her to convince her to agree. Of course, I would never take any money from her. She agreed immediately. I gave her some money that would be enough to see them through the next four months.

"Don't hesitate to ask for more," I told her. She nodded and thanked us again and again with tears in her eyes. It was nearly time for our flight. Margaret got up to leave along with her children.

"I'll send you the tickets when my wedding date is fixed," said Rosy.

"Sure, we'll be there," said Margaret. "Please keep in touch, Anna," she said.

"Of course, I will," said Rosy. She hugged them and they finally left. Rosy and I quickly got ready and checked out of the hotel. We finally headed towards the airport, ready to go home.
