Chapter 13: Chapter 13

The first thing I see when I wake up is Sebastian, scratch that, I mean the first person. I glare at him and that’s when I notice both Gwen and Paul. They are also holding dangerous glares in their eyes.

“Before you ask where Greyson is, he is in the cell, his cell.”

Sebastian turns to Gwen, “I didn’t tell you to inform her.”

“I know, that’s why I told her.”

“Why do you like messing up my plans.”

“Messing up what plans, to electrocute her to death?”

His eyes flash silver as he takes a step forward, “Watch your tone, sister.”

At his booming voice, Gwen bares her neck to him and Paul immediately stands in front of her, “You need to calm down and think things through, Sebastian. She’s your mate.”

They both have a minny eye battle before Paul looks away. He can’t look at him any more without challenging him. If they duel, Sebastian will win, with a few scratches but he will win and Paul will lose.

“Exactly, she is my mate and I can do anything I want with her, so next time don’t meddle in my affairs or you’re going to wish your mother closed her legs when she was about getting birth to you,” He hisses, “Now, leave.”

Sebastian points to the door and they both stare at him for a few minutes before they walk out. He turns to me immediately, “My little mate thought that she could leave.”

He taunts me as he walks closer to me and grips my arm, holding me up. I hiss at him, “Be careful, you’ll bruise me you know.”

As I expected, he doesn’t reply as he drags me outside and pushes me to the guards by the door.

“Get her to her cell.”

He glares at me and they take me away. I drag my arm away from them, “That hurts.

One of the guards grunt but apart from that, I get nothing in response.

Our escape plan didn’t work out, I just have to look for something else to cook up.

Sebastian obviously mixed the potion that the witch, he so calls, gave to him and now I can’t leave her without been electrocuted.

An uncontrollable force of electric currents passing my body and increases the further I move away from the castle’s gate, that’s a little scary.

The guard pushes me forward from where I stopped. I look back at him and smile, “You know that I am just a harmless she-wolf.”

My fluttering eyelashes doesn’t do the trick, then what will?

When we arrive at my cell room, Greyson appears from nowhere and punches a guard at the side of the face. As the guard tries to recover, he turns to the other and kneels him in the groin and as he bends, he uses his knee again to hit his jaw.

The sound of his knee cap connecting to the guard’s jaw make me cling.

Just as the guard collapses, Greyson turns to the other as he recover and holds his neck tightly. The guard struggles for a few minutes before he stops moving.

“Goddess, is he dead, are they dead?”

Greyson holds the first male’s legs and drag him into the cell, he does the same to the other one too. I don’t know when he carries the key out of one of their pocket but he does.

“No, they aren’t. it’s a simple trick I learnt I long time ago, though I can’t grantee that they won’t be sore when they awake up.”

“Will you teach me?” I watch him lock the cell door, hissing when he comes in contact with the silver.

“Maybe,” He grabs my arm and leads me out of the prison.

“Where are we going?” He pushes me back against the wall as a group of maids pass by us, giggling to whatever they are talking about.

“Do you know where you’ll stay?” I jump as Gwen’s voice reaches my ears. She smiles at me in glee, “In my room!”

“I don’t think that will work out,” Greyson mutters and shakes his head.

She waves him off, “As much as that is tempting, I’m not talking about you, hot cake. Paul can take care of you while Minerva will stay in my room. I will disguise her and hide her scent. Sebastian won’t even know that it’s her.”

Greyson is about to protest but I cut in, “Are you sure it will work?”

She nods, “It has to or else you are going back to the cell or worst,” She turns to Greyson, “I’ll take you to Paul after I have Minerva disguised.”

She starts walking and we follow behind her. On our way, we sight Paul with a scowl on his face when he sees us, “How did you get out?”

“That’s not the issue here, take hotty over there and hide him, remove his scent and disguise him. I’ll deal with Minerva.”

“That’s actually a great idea.”

We don’t stay put to listen to anything else, I wave Greyson goodbye before I walk into her room.

I don’t have the time to admire it, and she doesn’t let me. She grabs a pile of clothes and shoves it in my hands before pushing me into the bathroom.

“Look for the sizeable ones and use the yellow soap to take a shower.”

“I don’t need a shower.”

“Just do as I say!” She yelled over the other side of the door.

Yellow soap? I am confused but I do as she says and when I am done and dressed, I rush out.

She looks at me from head to toes and sniffs the air, “I guess we could manage this.”

She moves to her dressing stool and dusts it, I raise a brow at her, “You guess?”

She rolls her eyes as she turns back to me, “You scent is well hidden and you look great in that jeans, now for the disguise.”

She smiles at me, holding a pair of scissor in her hands. I touch my hair in panic as I take steps backwards.

“That thing is not going to touch me.”

“It’s a coll bob but you have to be in disguise,” As I shake my head at her, she groans, “Fine, just stay out of sight then.”

I breath out in relief.

“How did you hide my scent?”

She walks to her drawer, opens it and drop the scissor in it before she closes it shut, “The yellow soap you used did that.”

I fold my arms across my chest, “I find it hard to imagine you having that.” She shrugs, “I got a lot of friends who are from different species. I use it to go round the castle unnoticed.”

She walks to the wardrobe and pulls out a blond wig. No matter how I protest, she still places it on my head.

“You look great. Black skin and blond hair is a great combination.”

“You mean dark skin,” I roll my eyes.

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever.”

The door squeaks open a little as I knock comes through,”Gwen can I talk to you?”

Our eyes open immediately. She pushes me into the wardrobe and closes the door tightly, before she walks away.

I hear the door open and footsteps coming in, “What do you want, Sebastian?”

“Who were you talking to?”

I hold my breath.

“Myself, I have an app that talks back to me, you know that mum always says I should work on my conversational skills.”

I don’t hear him respond to that but I think that he nods.

“I’m sorry for the way I snapped at you.”

“Awn, thanks big bro, now leave me alone.”

I hear the bed creak. I don’t know who jumps on it but my guess is, it’s her, Gwen.

“I’ll just go, have fun, I guess.”

As he leaves the room, I wait for a few seconds before I open the wardrobe and blow out a breath as I come out.

I close it behind me and turn to Gwen as she stares at me, laying on her bed.

“You have really weird conversational skills.”

“That’s me for you,” She shrugs and goes back to her phone.

I sigh and look at the door, “I’ll be right back.”

“Where are you going?”

“I have to see where he is heading to,” I open the door.

“Wait, I haven’t applied make-up on your face.”

I walk out of the room, shutting her voice off as I close the door, “I don’t really need that.”

I raise my head up and sniff where he went, I trace him to a big hall.

It’s probably the event hall, grand hall, whatever they call it.

“Are you sure about it, don’t you think it’s too early?”

Sebastian and Grace stand in the hall and he reaches out to touch her face. She closes her eyes as she snuggles into his palm.

“I am tired of waiting, you will be introduced to the public, my kingdom today.”

He holds her neck and pulls her closer, placing her forehead on his as they lean closer. Before I know it their lips are moving against each other.

They pull back and catch their breaths, “I love you. You know that right?”

She nods, “And you know that I love you too.”

No matter how many times that I tell myself that I wouldn’t cry because of him, I can’t just stop. He hurts me so bad but I can’t stop him from being in my heart.
