Nora’s P.O.V (Daniel’s mother)
Both Alexander and his mother Lola were standing beside my husband Robert when his father was taken to the moor and his coffin was being buried in the ground. Robert looked very sad saying goodbye to his father and tears flowed from my eyes, I couldn't bear to see my husband filled with so much sorrow.
I was sad for my father in law, but I am more sad for my husband because he loved his father very much. I had never seen my husband so sad, but at the same time I knew that Robert had gone to stop Daniel outside the mansion. He wanted him to see his grandfather one last time before he was buried, but Daniel did not stop and his grandfather's last wish remained unfulfilled, it deeply saddened Robert. I stood in the corner, watching everything with Jackson's mother Lily.
“Nora, I can understand your sorrow, but if you keep crying then your health will deteriorate and you know what Daniel will do if he sees you in this condition. He will go mad with anger if your health worsens, you know how he is.” Lily said and I just nodded my head. Lily pulled me into a hug, trying to calm me down. I was always emotional, especially after finding so many deceptions in my life.
“I know, but why have you come here Lily? I know that you came without telling Jackson and he was not going to come here. He must have found out that you were coming and decided to come as well.” I asked and looked at all of my father in laws bodyguards, they were all staring at Lily and she noticed them, but she did not seem to care.
“Don't worry, they will not harm me. They know my Jackson would kill them if they so much as tried to do something.” Lily replied, making me smile because I knew that she was right. Jackson did not just leave Lily alone here, he had left his bodyguards here to protect Lily and she knew it as she looked back at them and we both saw them watching my father in laws bodyguards.
“Yes, I know, but it is my right to be here. If I had not come today then I would never have the chance to say my last goodbye to Jackson's grandfather. I know Jackson will be angry with me for a few days, but I will convince.” Lily said and looked at the coffin for the last time.
“I know that the only reason Jackson stepped foot in this house was because he knew that I was here. I am glad that he came here with Daniel, but I never expected it.” Lily said and I nodded.
“Yes, I know what you mean. I never expected Daniel to come either. Jackson and Daniel had not come to see their grandfather because neither of them looked to the coffin, instead they were talking to us. Daniel told me before leaving that he would come back at night. The good thing is that people do not know about Jackson, they only know about Daniel, so when Jackson did not go and pay his last respects to his grandfather no one noticed or talked. Daniel was the only one they talked about.” I replied, looking at Lily.
“Your right. I saw that Daniel took Jackson away before anybody noticed him. I was going to ask him to pay his respects, but he understood and just left after hugging me. I am glad that even though they do not ive in the same country as us they still have each other and take care of one another.” Lily said, as we both looked at the people who were burying the coffin.
“But i am worried about Daniel. Tonight he will return home and I don't know what will happen. Sometimes I feel happy that he does not live here, but I do not want to stay away from my son. I do not know what I will do.” I said and now that the coffin was buried, Lily turned to look at me.
“I can understand that, but try not to think of it now. I do not know why Daniel is back here, but I know that you will take care of him. I can not stay here any longer, I have to get going.” Lily said and started to walk away.
“Why are you leaving so soon? Can not you stay a little longer?” I asked, she just looked at me and smiled.
“You know I can not, the truth is I was not invited, but still I came. The biggest reason i have to go is because there are certain people here that do not want to see me and so i will take my leave.” Lily replied, looking back at Lola, who was angrily staring at us. I hugged Lily and watched as she left with Jackson's bodyguards.
He was so worried about his mother that he left his own bodyguards here, he could not believe my father in laws bodyguards. I looked back and saw that Lola and her son had left, but Robert was still there. I walked over and stood beside him, we both smiled at each other and watched the other guests leave.
Lola’s P.O.V
Alexander took my hand and pulled me out of the crowd, leaving secretly from the eyes of people watching.
“Now I can act more like myself. This place is suffocating me and my face is hurting from having to make a sad face for so long.” Alexander said and I rolled my eyes at him.
“All the guests are still here, so why have you brought me here too? I should not be here right now.” I said and looked back. I was looking for Robert, but my eyes turned red with anger when I saw that Nora was standing next to him and I was boiling with anger.
“That bitch doesn't miss a single chance to get close to Robert.” I angrily said and was about to go to Robert when Alexander grabbed my hand and stopped me.
“HOW ARE YOU STILL THINKING ABOUT THESE USELESS THINGS, MOM!” Alexander angrily screamed at me and I immediately stopped.
“Daniel has come back and it is widely known by everyone that he did not come to see his grandfather for the last time, but he has come here for something else. I feel that something is wrong, maybe he will took everything away from us. He has completely taken my freedom away, but again if it happens to me I will not stay silent.” Alexander said, anger and hatred clearly visible in his eyes and it terrified me. He has wanted nothing but revenge since his childhood.
“No! Don't make the mistake of confronting Daniel. I do not need to tell you what he is capable of because you already know. I am your mother and I will not let Daniel harm you. This is my promise to you, I will not let that happen as far as our rights are taken and anyway I do not think that Daniel has returned for this, rather it’s something else.” I said, but Alexander did not understand what I really wanted to say to him.
“And what other purpose could there be? He has spoiled my life, so what is the purpose now?” Alexander said, irritatedly questioning me. I knew that he was remembering the past when he was taking the name of Daniel, but as Daniel entered the mansion Alexander's eyes turned black in shock. He was not just surprised to see Daniel but Jackson was with him as well and he had never entered the mansion, he always treated this place like dirt. Jacob was also there, smiling as always and Nora hugged him. All these things made Alexander mad with anger and he understood that all three of them coming back to the mansion was an auspicious sign. Daniel himself coming back was an ominous sign for him.
“I do not know about this, but I know that something is wrong. It was clear that Nora was surprised to see Daniel, she was not expecting him, but Daniel remained calm. Daniel has come to see his mother for a specific purpose, but i do not know what it is. I just hope that it does not become a problem for us.” I replied, explaining to Alexander, but I knew that he was planning something else.
“If that's the case, then it's a good thing because whatever you say I'm going to take my revenge.” Alexander said, sounding crazy.
“What?! I told you not to mess anything up. Do not take any action without first asking me or you will get into trouble again.” I replied, but I couldn't even finish what I wanted to say because Alexander stopped me.
“If you were so worried about me, then I would not have been imprisoned in this country for the last six months. You could not do anything for me, so I will do it for myself. You only care about your place, so you go and try to secure your place and I will handle my case by myself.” Alexander said and walked away from me, but after hearing him I was terrified. One wrong move by Alexander and I could lose him. I ran after him and grabbed his hand.
“No! What are you planning to do?” I asked, but he smiled.
“Tomorrow the lawyer is coming. I have called him at home and you will know what will happen after this. I do not know when he's going to leave the country, but I will take advantage of his presence and everything will be under my control.” Alexander said, shocking me. I never would have thought that he would attack Daniel in this way. Alexander and I turned back to look at Nora and Robert. We walked over to them and I stood in between Nora and Robert, pushing Nora away from Robert, but not too harshly and made it look like a mistake.
