Chapter 25: Chapter 25
Daniel’s P.O.V
Jacob stopped the car as soon as we had arrived outside the club and the three of us got out, but as soon as I turned around I felt my mood turn sour and immediately felt irritable.
“What the fuck! How long have these people been following me?” I said, making Jacob and Jackson turn to look in the direction I was looking at. At least six bodyguards exited a black SUV, all of them carrying guns. On seeing them Jackson started laughing loudly, he knew exactly the same as me, these were my fathers bodyguards and they were here under my fathers orders.
I never liked bodyguards and refused to use them, they were nothing but a nuisance, keep following me around and getting in my way, but these were my fathers and his concern had become like a noose around my neck. I could feel myself getting angrier and Jackson’s laughing wasn't helping at all, he was enjoying this way too much.
Jacob just stood there, looking between me and the bodyguards, I do not think he knew which to try and approach first. I threw my glasses on the back seat of the car and started moving towards the bodyguards, my anger clearly showing. I would teach these idiots a lesson that they would never forget. I removed my coat and threw it to the side as I started rolling up my sleeves, ready to beat these men in front of everyone here. The guards looked over and saw me coming towards them, I could see the fear spreading across their faces, clearly distressed by my actions and what I was about to do.
“Sir, sir, it is not their fault, they are just following orders.” Jacob said, standing in front of me and trying to stop me from going any further. He knew I was more than willing to beat them in the middle of the road because when I got angry I didn't care about my honour, the media or anyone else that was around.
I could not see anyone around me, the only thing i saw was red and i knew that once i started beating these guards that i wouldn't be able to stop until my anger had subsided, but by then the guards would be close to death. Jacob raised his head and looked straight at me, knowing that I was now getting angry with him for defending them, my fathers bodyguards!
“It's your grandfather's order, he sent these bodyguards to protect you because you wouldn't go back home. These guards are not aware of any of this, I will tell them that you are not going back and that you are not going to leave this country.” Jacob said, trying to calm me down and stop me from killing them.
I listened to what Jacob was saying and looked at the guards, looking them up and down in disgust, I looked behind me and saw that Jackson was still standing by the car. He knew how I felt because he was exactly the same as me, he hated bodyguards and had also kicked them away from himself. I knew deep down that it wasn't their fault, they were only acting on orders, but it didn't make me any less angry at the thought of them being them with me. I knew they wouldn't leave, even if they knew they were going to die, they were following my grandfather's order.
“If you think you are coming in the club with me with those fucking guns then you can think again. Throw your guns in the car and stay 100 steps away from me at all times. Don't wander about and get under my feet.” I said in a threatening tone and went back towards the car, picking up my coat.
Jacob took a deep breath behind me and I knew that he was happy that he had defused the situation, for now. I had just put my coat on when Jackson’s driver pulled up in his car, Jackson took the keys from him and sent him back.
“This is the back of the club and there are no spaces, so Jacob you park the car here and I will park mine on the parking lot around the front of the club.” Jackson said and Jacob nodded, there was only space for one car.
“While you two do that, I am going to go inside, I will see you in there.” I said, heading into the club with my fathers bodyguards walking 100 steps behind me as per my order.
Jacob’s P.O.V
Jackson took his car and drove to the front of the club while I parked this one, I got out of the car and received an urgent call. I answered it as I was walking towards the club, but as I turned around the corner I didn't see anyone coming until it was too late and someone bumped into my chest.
“AHHH!” A girl moaned out as she collided with my chest and hit her head. The mobile phone that was in her hand dropped to the floor as she grabbed her head in pain.
“I am sorry, are you hurt?” I asked, immediately apologising to the girl. I was not able to see her face, but when she looked up I saw that it was Sara’s friend Lisa.
“You!” lisa said, looking at me in surprise. She gave me a strange look, which I expected and looked down at her phone lying on the floor. She went to pick it up, but before she could I reached down for it, trying to help her and saw that the screen was open on a message that she had received from someone called Evan.
Evan - ‘Hey, lisa. I am sorry that I cannot come and meet you today or even tomorrow. I know that we haven't seen each other or met up in the last three months, but you know that I am not in the city. Tomorrow is your birthday, so happy birthday. Don't wait for me, it will take time.’
Lisa - ‘it's okay.’
It was clear upon seeing this message that Evan was her boyfriend and from Lisa's reply, she was sad about it. It seemed strange that they hadn't seen each other in three months and were only texting instead of talking on the phone.
Lisa snatched her phone out of my hand, knowing that I had seen the message and looked embarrassed. She still looked a little sad and disturbed, which meant that she must have only received this message a few minutes ago. Lisa's eyes travelled to my hand, and she saw that I was walking while talking on the phone.
“How can you walk while talking on the phone? What would you have done if I had fallen and been hurt even more?” Lisa said, she was quite angry.
