Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Sara's P.O.V

The sound of the alarm on my phone entered my ear and my eyes opened immediately. I set the alarm for 6:00 am before going to sleep two hours ago, so that I could see the files once again for the last time. I did not sleep the whole night because of fear. Daniel’s last words were not easy to handle for me. He was looking hell serious when he said those words to me. When I ran out of his office, I ran towards the finance department. I gathered everything which could prove that I was not involved in this scam. I had to prove that they were wrong and I was only making notes. I ran out of the office after all those files and took the special order from my boss so that i could take it home. I came home and the whole night I was finding the proof. I had heard them saying too many things which helped me a lot. I still had a full one hours to get to the office.

I had all the proof, which shows that i am innocent, but I don't know why I was getting a little nervous. I had to tell him everything. What if he still did not believe me. It worried me most. I had to be confident. I can not go to jail. I was feeling too sleepy. I just wanted to sleep and eat. I did not eat anything last night either. I got back home last night that I had to go to sleep hungry because Lucy had not saved any food in the fridge as part of her plan, it was late at night, so I could not order something to eat. It was good I had eaten my packed food. I lazily moved from side to side in bed and after about 5 minutes I got up.

I saw my phone again and it was 6:00 in the morning, but I didn't feel like getting up from my bed. I got back home so late last night that I had to go to sleep hungry because Lucy had not saved any food in the fridge as part of her plan, it was late at night, so I could not order something to eat. it was good i had eaten my packed food. I lazily moved from side to side in bed and after about 5 minutes I got up.

I entered the bathroom, washed and got out of the shower. I had a towel wrapped around my body and I sat on the bed with my laptop and pen drive. I understood everything and looked at the clock to see it was time. I wore one of my blue one pieces and kept my hair down as usual. I put on my sandals and came out of the room holding my purse. I walked downstairs and entered the dining room.

I knew that now I am not going to get food in this house and I didn’t even expect to get food, but I had to go through this room because It was the only way out. I entered the dining room and I saw that both Lucy and Ryan were eating. I did not disturb Ryan between his meals. I just saw him from afar with a smile and told him that I was going to the office. While looking at me, he said bye and as soon as I turned, I suddenly heard Dad's voice.

"Sara wait…" Dad said and stopped me. I was surprised to see him at home, I was not aware that he was still here, I thought he left like every day. I smiled at him, ran and hugged him. I saw his face after 2 months and I was very happy to see him.

"Happy to see you dad. Thank you for staying home today." I said, and I felt his hands on my back. He hugged me back.

"If you have finished with your daughter and your reconciliation is over, then I am sitting here and the food is getting cold." Lucy coldly said, Dad turned away from me and took his place, but I stood there like before.

"Come sit at your place, I need to talk to you about something important." Dad said, gesturing for me to sit down. Immediately upon hearing him, I looked at Lucy's face and she did not seem happy that I would sit with them. I took my place and Ryan served food for me. He looked even more cute doing this with his small hands. I smiled, looking at him and pulled his cheeks with love. I did this and saw that Dad wanted to talk to me, but he was eating food, so I also picked up my spoon so that I could eat too.

"I want to ask you…" Dad started speaking, and I stopped, looking at him and smiling.

"How long will it take for you to find a new home?" Dad said, On hearing them, the smile disappeared from my face and now I came to know why he is home today, why they had invited me to eat with them. They wanted to know from me, when I'm leaving home, and I stupidly thought something else and was getting happy.

"Why not tell her the whole thing? Clear all the things up here and now." Lucy shouted over Dad and I looked at her and dad.

"What is the matter?” I asked, looking at my father, but he didn't look at me anymore, he was looking at Lucy and what she had said.

"Now we cannot let you stay in this house anymore. You have to leave this house. You had the right information before this, and now you have only 2 days. In these 2 days you have to get out of this house." Lucy said, telling me everything and I looked at dad. He was listening to everything, but was focused on his food, not once did he speak up. I looked at both of them, put the spoon back on the plate and got up from my place.

"Will you not eat?” Dad asked me and I looked at him and smiled.

"Sorry, but I don't want to be a hindrance to your family's happiness anymore. I have become a hindrance in your life which you want to remove as soon as possible. Don't worry, I will leave here within 2 days." I said and picked up my purse from the table, exiting the room and ran out of the house.

On the way, I was trying to smile, trying to tell myself that everything is normal. My day started as always. I smiled looking at Ryan, and he served food for me and the best part was that after 2 months I saw my father, I talked to him, I hugged him. It should have been enough for me, but it was ruined. Why are tears coming from my eyes? Why am I hurt by this when I knew it was coming? I stopped walking and looked at the sky.

I closed my eyes and wiped my tears and again started walking towards the office. I entered the building and as soon as I entered the office, Lisa ran towards me and hugged me. She asked me where I was going. I looked at Daniel’s room and told her I was going there. I did not tell her what was going on. I did not tell anyone. I wanted to end this mess today. Lisa told me that right now Daniel is not in his office. He is out and will attend the meeting. I worried. He had given me time. It was only five minutes. If he did not see me on time he would think I came late. I could not risk it. I also had to attend the meeting as I was also part of the plan. I could also meet Daniel there. I will show him everything.

I looked at Lisa, and she told me that she is also a part of this meeting. As soon as she entered the room, her eyes collided with me and I saw that she was giving me her most devilish smirk. She was in a high position and stood in front of me, she looked angry.

"How dare you sit in my place?" She screamed, I was a little nervous and everyone was looking at me.

"But I am sitting at my place. This is not your place." I replied, but she came close to me and spoke.

"I will decide where your place is and where it is not. This is not your place from now on, I take away your place from you. You will not sit in the meeting room, but you will stand." She ordered me to move out of that place and she shouted loudly, so that more than 10 people would listen. Lisa was looking at me, and she was sad for me, she too knew that Olivia was doing all this intentionally, so that she could insult me in front of everyone. This is one of the many purposes of her life, taking advantage of her position, she always insults me.

She is the boss's daughter and can get me out of my job anytime, so I never make the mistake of giving her a befitting reply. I got up from my place and picked up all the files, pen drives and laptops and stood back. Daniel entered the room as I stood there. He took his place and asked to start the meeting as soon as possible. He was looking annoyed, and he did not want anyone to waste his precious time.
