Isabella's pov;

In the school,

"What about you? Did you finish the assignment this time? Or did you finish and leave it in your house?" Evelyn teased me.

"I finished it! Surprise!"

"How in the world is it possible?"

"Because I became brainy all of a sudden" And laughed.

When I looked at Sophia, she was writing something in the notebook and Liam on the other side was on his phone.

Noah jumped in front of me and said, "Hey! Come with me." And grabbed my hand.

"To where?"

"To the music club. They're holding a meeting for the basketball club and music club. It's regarding the event. Let's go."

"I didn't submit my assignment yet."

"The teacher wasn't here yet. Give your assignment to Sophia as I did."

I looked at my assignment and stood like a mannequin at my desk.

"What are you waiting for?" Noah took the assignment from me and placed it on Sophia's bench and said, "Submit this too."

"Who's going to be there?" I asked Noah while we were on the way to the music club.

"Our club members and coach and their club members and their club secretary."

"So did they decide the date?"

"That's what they called us for. To discuss the date."

We went to the music club.

"Bella, why are you late? Almost everyone showed up." Ikea said when she saw me entering the club.

"Didn't you get the message yesterday that we're having a meeting today?" Serene asked me.

I said, "oh, I'm sorry. I don't usually use my phone."

"She's here. Let's talk about the event. Did the secretary come?" Noah asked them.

"Yes. Over there. She's talking to our coach about the match timings." Ikea answered.

"Okay."

After some time, the music club secretary announced, "Can I get everyone's attention here, please?"

We walked to stand along with the music club and she started to speak.

"After discussing, we finalised a decision to hold both basketball match and music events on the same day. Since the match will be conducted for thirty minutes and a half time for twelve minutes, we decided to hold all the music competitions like solo performance, group performance of the high school and middle in the morning and the basketball match will be the last event of the day and in between we planned the half time for kindergarten students to give a dance performance. Do y'all agree on that? Or if anyone finds it difficult we can discuss it over. Can you give your opinions right now? Even though I talked with my music club, you can also present your ideas now along with basketball club members."

Ikea whispered to me, "Will it work? Two events on the same day?"

Serene said, "We only play for thirty minutes so spending a whole day on the basketball court to wait to see a match is a little tiresome. I think the secretary's got a good point."

"Yeah but what if everyone left after music events and no one showed up in ours?"

I said, "I bet true fans will stay back for us and who would abandon cute girls like us." And made a wink.

Noah pinched my ear and said, "Cute girls, heh?"

I laughed while I was in pain, "Ouch! It hurts."

The secretary announced, "Since everyone is okay with the idea, then let's move on to discuss the date. Does anyone have an important test or seminar or conference in the coming week? We can discuss it accordingly."

One by one I went to speak to the secretary and my turn came.

"I'm free for the next week, Ms secretary."

"Bella, thank you for giving me the idea in the time needed."

"It's my pleasure."

I moved away and made way for the other club members.

When everyone started to go to their classes, I said to Noah that I'll come later and went to the secretary to talk.

"I have a favour to ask you. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"You said there will be a kindergarten dance performance at halftime. Can you make second graders dance as well?"

"Why particularly second graders? Is your sibling there?"

Sibling? Smiles*

"Yeah, so that I can watch them dance during the match. Since we are practising for the match, I won't be there to watch the dance if it's in the morning, so can I do that for me, please? I can do whatever you want in return. I promise."

"You'll do whatever I want?"

"Yeah. Whatever."

She moved closer to me and whispered in my ears, "Win the match for me."

"Does that mean..."

"I think I have to make a few arrangements for the group performance."

"Thank you. Thank you so much."

"I can see that you must love your sibling so much."

I let out a nervous laugh and left for class.

I don't why but I wanted to see yuyang's performance so badly.

After I came to class, I was thinking about yuyang. What will she look like? The name looks like some Chinese or Korean name. Why did Big brother choose this name for her? Big brother doesn't look like he's from China or Korea. What if you are Yang's mother from those countries? There are chances because I haven't seen her yet.

The curiosity of knowing how yuyang looked couldn't hold me in my desk anymore so I waited for the class to get over.

After class ended, I rushed out of the class and headed to the elementary building.

I asked around the building about the whereabouts of the second graders. Since I worked here to take care of children, I kinda knew a few people around here.

"Bella, what are you doing here?" Ms Darcy asked me.

"Ms Darcy, Can you show me where the second grade is? When I went to the previous class, they said they changed the classes this year."

"Yeah, we moved some classes because of the construction work in the library."

"Oh. Okay."

"Come with me."

I walked along with her.

"It's been months since I saw you. How are you doing? How're your studies?"

"I'm good, Ms Darcy. My studies, yes it's good too."

"I heard that there's a match and music event in the upcoming week. Are you playing?"

"Yes, Ms Darcy."

"Then we'll win for sure."

"Hahaha. Thank you for believing in me, Ms Darcy."

"Ah! We're here." She showed the second graders class and asked, "I forgot to ask, who are you seeing here?"

"I came to see yuyang, Ms Darcy."

"Yuyang? How do you know yuyang?"

"Yuyang is my niece, Ms Darcy."

"Wow! That's a surprise! I didn't know that. Since Yang's father hasn't given a visit to the school, we don't know much about yuyang. It's good to know that yuyang has a niece like you. Wait, I'll call her."

No! Don't! She doesn't know me! What should I do now? If she said she doesn't know me then my lie blocks will fall over.

A girl came to her call and looked at me. I smiled without thinking. Wow! I have never seen such a cutie in my life. Her ponytails on each side of her head made her extra cute. Her chubby cheeks and small lips. I bet she's going to be the beauty of the campus when she grows up.

I shook my head and came back to reality. What is she going to say to the teacher?

The teacher pointed at me and said something to her which made yuyang come running to me. I squatted down to her height to talk with her.

After seeing Ms Darcy enter the class, I looked at yuyang. I was waiting for her to speak.

"Are you my niece?"

What!? Doesn't she know her family?

"Kinda..."

"How are you doing?"

I let out a chuckle and said, "I'm doing good. What about you?"

She gave a mini cute nod.

I checked my pockets to find anything to give to the little one in front of me but I couldn't find anything.

While I was rummaging through my other pocket, she asked me, "What is your name?"

"Bella."

"Nice name."

"Thank you. Um... Do you like ice cream?"

She gave a cute little nod but looked at the class.

"Ok, wait." I held her hand and walked to the class and asked, "Ms Darcy, can I borrow yuyang for some time?"

"Yeah, go on."

I said to her, "Your teacher gave permission, shall we go now?"

She gave a smile and nodded at me.

I took her to the high school cafeteria and made her sit along with my bag.

I came to the counter and when I was about to buy ice cream, I thought I didn't ask her which flavour she likes?

I came out of the line and came to her and asked, "I forgot to ask the flavour. Which flavour do ya like?" I gave her the menu card to look into it.

She pointed to the menu card and said, "Chocolate flavour."

"Okay. I'll get it."

I came to the counter again after standing in the line and bought the ice cream for yuyang.

When I came to the table, Harry was with her.

I asked Harry, "What are you doing here? Don't you have class now?"

"Did you forget we're in the same class? If I have class, you also have one."

I ignored him and gave the ice cream to yuyang and sat beside her.

"Who is this little girl? She's saying that you're her niece. Why didn't I know that you have a niece?"

"What are you going to do now, huh?"

Yuyang asked, "You two fight like Dan and Carlos in my class. They also fight like this." And laughed while eating the ice cream.

I'm fighting like a second-grader? Because of this guy, I lost my reputation in front of the little girl.

Harry laughed and said, "Did you just get mocked by a second-grader? Damn! She's good. Hey, Little girl! Do you want to be in my gang?"

She shook her and said, "Dad said only stupid people make a gang and tease others." And continued eating the ice cream.

I laughed out loud saying, "Double burn!" And laughed again.

Noah came nowhere and said, "Looks like you two are getting gel with each other."

Harry left as soon as Noah appeared.

"What's with him?"

I shrugged my shoulders and asked, "What are you doing here? What about the class?"

"Mr Brett didn't show up so we had a free hour. I couldn't find you in the playground so I came to look for you in the cafeteria. By the way, who's this little girl? She's looking cute."

"My name is yuyang." Yuyang cutely introduced herself and continued, "I'm her niece."

"Why didn't you tell me about your niece?" Noah asked me back.

"You didn't ask me!" I said back to him.

"We're having practice today. Are you coming?"

"No, I can't. I have some work. I'll join you tomorrow."

"Okay. But don't forget to come tomorrow. Because we only have three days for the competition."

"Yeah, yeah. I won't forget."

Noah left after informing me.

"What competition?" Yuyang asked me.

"Basketball. I have a basketball match on the day you perform your dance."

"How do you know about my dance performance?"

"Did you forget that I'm your niece? I want to see how you dance. I'm excited."

"I'm feeling shy."

"Why? I heard from your teachers that you dance well."

"But this time, you'll be watching me."

"What difference does that make from before?"

"I never had my family watching my performance before."

I patted her head a little and said, "I'll cheer for you so don't get shy. Shall I take you to your class, now?"

She gave a nod.

I took Yuyang to her class and dropped her off.

"Will you come to see me like this?"

I smiled at her and said, "Yeah."

I waved at her while she was going to her place.

I started walking to my class. Why does she look familiar to me? I'm not talking about the appearance but the things she's said to me. I too wanted my mom to come to school and watch how I play but since she was always busy working, she never came and I'll never blame her for that. If my father would have been with us, mom could have watched my match along with my father too. Yuyang longs for her dad to watch her dance performance now I can understand why Ms Devlin met Big brother.

I hope yuyang doesn't end up like me.
