Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Isabella's pov;

One year later,

Dylan, "What exactly are you doing here? What if Alexander scolds us if he sees you serving?"

"Sitting idle in the room is boring."

"I understand how difficult it is to win against you. At the very least, be cautious with the tables."

"Got it!" I gave a thumbs up with a smile and continued serving the customers.

"Enjoy the Breakfast," I murmured as I set the food on the table with a big grin on my face.

"How many weeks?" one of the customers asked, pointing to my tummy.

"14 weeks," I murmured, looking at my large tummy.

"Is it a boy or a girl?"

"We have an appointment today."

"Good luck," she said brightly and continued eating her food.

I smiled at her after giving a nod.

I approached the desk and dialled Alexander's number.

"Where the hell are you?"

"I'll be there in a few minutes."

"You said that ten minutes ago."

"I'm nearly there."

He hung up the phone.

Emily inquired, "Don't be upset. This is not good for the baby."

"I try, but he's not letting me."

"When is the checkup again?"

"At noon," I responded, looking at the clock.

"There is still time. What's the point of rushing him?"

I gave her a blank stare.

"I'll go grab the orders," she added, laughing nervously. And then she departed.

"Shall we go?" Alexander asked as he strolled in, kissing my forehead.

I locked my gaze on him.

He took my hand in his and led me out of the restaurant.

When i was about to get into the car,

I felt something move in my tummy as I was getting into the car. "Ack!" I exclaimed as I clutched my tummy.

Alexander rushed up to me and inquired, "What happened? Were you bumped?"

"No. Something moved inside my stomach."

"It's got to be the baby."

I nodded and said, "Ack! It's happening again." "Did you feel that?" I asked, taking his hand in mine and placing it on my tummy.

After that, he smiled and kissed my tummy and kissed my cheek before saying, "Get in, let's go."

"It felt strange when it moved. Is it going to move again?"

He smiled and said, "Yes, a lot."

While in the hospital,

"Are you excited?" asks the doctor.

"Yeah, doc," I said.

"How many weeks?"

"14 weeks," Mr Martinez replied.

"Are you looking for a boy or a girl?"

"A girl," Alexander replied swiftly.

I gave him a cold gaze and said, "She's questioning me. Why are you bothering us?" "I want a boy, doc," I murmured, looking at the doctor.

The physician laughed and added, "Every relationship experiences this. Dad wishes for a princess, but Mom wishes for a prince. Let's see who strikes it lucky." And then she exited the room.

I inquired of Alexander, "You stated that you had not considered having a boy or a girl. So why did you tell her you wanted a girl? Did you deceive me?"

He said, "You said the same thing to me. Let's see who wins."

"Do you mean to challenge me? Fine! Let's see who wins. I enjoy a good challenge."

After a while, the doctor entered with a bright smile and remarked, "Your desire has come true."

Alexander and I exchanged puzzled glances before asking together, "Who's wish?"

"Both the wishes came true," the doctor said as she approached us. And stroked my hair.

"I don't understand."

The doctor, "You're pregnant with identical twins. A boy and a girl."

"What!?"

The physician, "Congratulations to you both. Also, remember to attend the next checkup. You may depart at this time." And then she exited the room.

"Can you believe what she just told us... because I don't!" I asked Alexander.

"We're going to be parents of two in... 26 weeks," he beamed.

"Didn't you notice when I stated I was pregnant? Argh! I'm supposed to carry these for another 26 weeks?" "And, I can't believe there's going to be two little kids crawling out of the uterus in 26 weeks," she said, leaning back on the bed.

The nurse who came in to fetch the equipment was taken aback by what I said.

"Don't worry about her. It's her joy speaking."

Mr Martinez held my hand after the nurse had left the room and said, "Isabella, we're going to be parents. They're going to call you mom, and I'll be called dad."

Mr Martinez appeared to be content.

"Do you think I'll make a good mother?"

Alexander gave a happy hug and said, "Trust me on this. You're going to be an excellent mother."

"You're suffocating our babies, Mr Martinez," I remarked as I tapped him on the back.

"Whoops!" he muttered as he broke the hug. And said to my tummy, who was carrying a boy and a girl, "I'm sorry for causing you pain, I was only hugging your mother." That made me smile.

I motioned for Mr Martinez to approach and kissed him on the lips, adding, "This way, they won't suffer." And laughed along with him.

While we're driving to the residence,

"Did you think of any names?"

"That's something I'm still thinking about. Because there are two, I must now come up with two names. Do you have anything planned?"

"Nope. I'm really hungry."

"Did you skip breakfast?"

"I did, but now I'm hungry. Can't you just get me some food? I'm pregnant with two babies in my tummy. How can that small breakfast feed us three?"

"In reality, consuming a lot of food does not..."

"I'm not interested in facts. I'm hungry."

"Okay, OK. Let's go." And kept driving his car.

I spoke to my stomach, "Everyone says he's a CEO, owns a business, and owns a building, yet he doesn't even buy me food. Your father is a terrible one. You should speak for me after you two come out. Understand?"

"I'm sure they'll be on my side," Mr Martinez said.

"What made you think that way? They'll be there for me. I'll be the one to shed blood here, not you."

"You're going to be on my side, right?" he asked, keeping his hand on my tummy.

"Ack!" Babies were wiggling around in my stomach.

He laughed and replied, "Did you hear what they said? Mom, it was stated, had lost her support."

"Traitors," I murmured, gazing at my stomach.

He stroked my hair and murmured, "Don't be alarmed. Regardless of how many children we have in the future. My primary priority will be you."

"Wait, I haven't even delivered the babies inside my womb, and you're planning on having more children?"

"Will it be fun if there are so many people in the house?"

I tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Then you should give them birth. Why are you talking about having more children when I'm already afraid of the pain of labour?"

"I was only joking. These two babies are more than enough for us. Because I'm afraid of the labour pain too."

"Won't you be thrilled if I scream in agony?"

He gave a flick and said, "Can't you live without talking back?"

"Why, you said you like me the way I am? What happened now?"

"Are you still hungry?"

"Yes."

"There's a diner around that corner, let's go there."

"Okay."

'I can't believe I'm going to be a mom in a few weeks,' I thought as I stroked my tummy. In 26 weeks, I meant. I'm not sure I'd make a good mother, but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful father. And He will try his best for you two. 'I'm envious.'

The man driving the car beside me to the restaurant after I begged him to buy me lunch is nothing like what I expected when I first saw him. He was a frigid, tight-lipped man of few words who lived a perfectly planned existence. His schedule became shredded once I entered the scene.

"Mr Martinez?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For everything." And smiled at him.

"We'll be there shortly," he added as he caressed my hair. I smiled and continued driving the car.

Coincidence. Destiny. These two words are always used together. When coincidence meets destiny, such a process leads to relationships. That's correct. Being hit by Mr Martinez's drunken driving was a coincidence for me, but it was fate for him.

Since that initial night, we've come a long way. It was difficult to believe, but things seemed to be getting better. I never imagined myself marrying Mr Martinez and having two children with him. If somebody had told me this when I first met him, I would have barfed extremely hard, but now it's... We got it to this point, and I'm very proud of myself for overcoming my fear to live with him. If I'd been living in dread, I wouldn't have the happy life I have now with him. I must appreciate Big Brother for coming up with the idea of pranking me that day. But I'm still angry at him.

It took 11 years to meet each other, 3 years to take pictures with him, and 5 years to confess our love, but when it came time to get married, we didn't even think twice before exchanging rings.

There are three kinds of love in every person's life, Puppy love, intense love and unconditional love. I never thought it would be all you, Mr Martinez. And, I'm so lucky that it's you and you only.

You've been by my side the whole time, even when I don't think you're there. Even when the entire universe seems to be tearing us apart from the inside out, you always manage to help me through it. I'm overjoyed to finally meet you. Even if it was by chance. Hahaha.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm finally in love! Not just one individual, but three, including my two babies.

Mr Martinez, "Can you tell me what you're thinking?"

"I was thinking about us when we first met," I added with a smile. That evening."

"I could never forget that Isabella in my life," he chuckled.

"And why is this so?"

"She was inebriated, humorous, and foolish."

I gave a eyeroll and asked, "Hey, did you only love me because you met me when I was a kid?"

"Even though I didn't know it was you that night, I liked how amusing you were," he continued, shaking his head. "The girl who was hit by my car, who ruined my house, who jumped in my bed in the middle of the night, who grasped my hands." "Isabella, are you blushing?" he asked, looking at me.

"No," I answered, not looking at him.

"Seeing you blushing, I feel like I should jump on you right now," he made me gaze at him.

"Don't talk rubbish in front of my babies," I slapped him on the shoulder.

"This way, they'll understand how much I adore you." And then he laughed.

"Your father has gone insane," I murmured to my tummy, "Don't pay attention to him."

"Ack! What was the point of that? Are you still supporting your father? Wait until you get out."

While I was chatting to them, he laughed and kissed my forehead, saying, "We arrived at the destination, Isabella."

THE END.

From the author of "The CEO and a High-Schooler Parts One and Two"

It's been a fantastic adventure with Alexander Martinez and Isabella Garcia all these five months.

It was a marvel that they were still together after everything they had been through. They were stronger than ever, and there was so much to do, but nothing was more important to him just then than his love, Isabella, who is now his wife. I'm glad they found pleasure in each other. I wish them all happiness.
