Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Sophia's POV

There was no trace of a smile on her face; neither did those eyes have any glimmer of warmth. It was filled with rage as she looked around, and when those eyes fell on me, I felt my blood run cold as my legs lost the strength to carry my body, making me fall to my knees.

"Please don't kill me. I am so sorry for all I have done. I swear. Please don't kill me... " I was crying and shaking in fear while pleading with the girl in front of me.

A girl who had once been my slave and someone I could hit anytime and anywhere. Someone who doesn't have the right to say or do anything instead of following my orders and those of Torian.

As I was on my knees begging for my life, the past came rushing in, starting from that day she barged into Torian's house to see he was having his birthday celebration without telling her. I could recall how pained she was, especially when she caught me kissing Torian.

She was a weak, nerdy girl then and can never be compared with the beast in front of me right now. Who would have known that a weak girl like that would be a hybrid who could slit my throat with a snap of her fingers?

How will I ever know that some day, I'll kneel in front of her to beg her to spare my life?

"Are you really on your knees for me? I am Lola. You can stand and hit me as you have always done. You can maltreat me more to make my life more miserable just as you always do!!" She bawled, her voice so dangerously deep that I could feel it shaking the wall. This was never the tiny and weak voice of Lola.

My mouth opened to talk, but not a sound could leave my lips because I was really in deep fear. It is so clear that I deserved no forgiveness for what I had done to Lola. And I knew, with the fury in her eyes and voice, she could end my life without feeling like she did anything much.

"If you ever think I will spare your life because you knelt and asked for forgiveness, then you must be a big joker. You are only fortunate to have returned to your senses earlier, allowing you to save me from being taken away by the guards earlier." she shrugged, and I breathed a deep sigh of relief.

"Stand up from the ground and watch how I destroy everyone of those demons out there." She huffed, turning to the door.

I quickly stood up with a smile on my face as joy surged through every part of me like waves. She was in front of me and seeing how she walked gracefully with a powerful aura really made me drool.

Lola was wearing the red gown I gave her, but it just seemed like the gown was made from heaven as it swayed down and moved rhyming beautifully with every step she took. Should I explain how pretty Lola has suddenly become?

You surely won't believe how much change can be made when a mere wolf turns into a hybrid and gets her powers unlocked. It changed not only their inner being but also their physical appearance. Lola's hair had turned snow white, glowing beautifully, and her eyes were sparkling blue, but also fiery.

I would say every part of her was fiery and she looked dangerous but elegant enough that I couldn't help being jealous and wishing I was her. Blake is surely the luckiest man on earth.

"Come with me, and stop standing there looking like this is the first time you're seeing me. I have always been your slave so stop acting like I fell from heaven!" She snorted, and I found myself cringing.

Just as I took my first step forward, she swirled and gave me a long stare that made my body freeze. I don't know why those eyes looked so intimidating that one would be afraid of breathing so as not to provoke her. Her stares are like warnings never to act rashly.

"I can sense demons around this house and also inside you." She continued with a deep frown, and my throat dried up as her words hit me like a bomb.

"Let me out!" I heard a fretting voice inside me and recognized it immediately as my heart demon.

"Really? You want to leave now? You always insist on being inside me and controlling me. Why do you want to leave now? You caused it all!" I replied angrily as I glanced at Lola, who was still staring straight into my eyes.

"I'll deal with you later. Release these guards that are stiffened by your dark magic, " She shrugged and headed to the door, but before she could reach and open it, five guards barged into the room.

"How dare you waste our time here, you pathetic demon spy in wolf disguise!!" One of the guards who just barged in yelled at her and wouldn't even wait for a second before attacking her with a blow, but that would have been successful if Lola was still the poor girl they knew.

His punch got right in front of her face and halted. The next thing we heard was a sickening crack of bones, which was so loud for everyone to hear, followed by a sharp petrified scream of pain. I darted my eyes at the guard who was about to punch her, and I saw his wrist twist in an awkward direction. His fingers were clearly broken, as they twisted and jutted out at an unnatural angle.

Lola made a little flick with her eyes and his body went flying off and crashed against the wall so hard that it was like his entire body was crushed in an instant.

That was how powerful Lola had become, and I knew, with the rage in her eyes, she wouldn't spare anyone that dared to attack her. Something was eating her deep inside, which was making her so angry.

"Anyone else with the courage to come and drag me out?" She sneered at all the men who had cowered and scampered away for safety. It was a shocking scene for the men to see what happened to their fellow guard, but it was more confusing to see it was all done by Lola, who they all knew as a sissy.

Lola had no more time to waste as she made her way out of the room, both fists clenched with a puff and huff that seemed like she was spitting fire. Her anger seemed to have increased a thousand fold, and all I could do was follow her at a certain distance in panic.

She increased her pace as we got closer to the palace, and that was how you could tell how eager she was to destroy everyone who was against her life.

She got to the door and paused. I also paused without getting anywhere closer.

"Come close to me and stop acting like a dummy. You think keeping a distance would prevent me from killing you if I had it in mind?" She huffed without sparing me a glance. Her words made my heart skip a beat as I picked up the courage to step closer to her.

Her aura was so intimidating and getting close to her made me realize how extreme her abilities and strength had become. Not even the Demon King has an aura like her. Just being close to her made my hair shoot up with shudders and goosebumps spreading through my skin.

"Where is that traitor girl? Why are those guards wasting time by pulling her in the hair and dragging her here with several punches if she tries being adamant?

"Maybe I should go there myself. I swear, I will cut off her ears as a compensation for the stress she put me through!" We both overheard the conversation going on inside the palace, and I think it was like a trigger for Lola, who was ready to kill at the slightest mistake.

Instead of using the door knob to open the door, she gave it a powerful punch that burst it open so hard that it hit the other side so loudly.

We both stepped in, and I could see the great shock in their eyes as they all trailed their eyes from the door to Lola, wondering if she was the one who just did that.

"You can come and cut off my ears now for compensation!" She shot at the Luna with a very furious tone that could make one pee on their pants.

"What is going on here? Who gave the door such a punch? Sophia, you did that?" My father quickly asked, peering at me with his eyes glinting with fear. He must have seen the mark beside Lola's neck but doesn't want to believe she has unlocked her powers.

That would be the end of everything we had planned with the demon king.

"I am also confused. Lola's demon spirit must be controlling her. We all need to get her killed!" Alpha Darren added with contempt in his voice.

"Yes, I agree. We can all join hands and kill this demon child who tried using my son to pull down this kingdom for the demons!" Blake's father howled, fuming, but I could only keep mute as it was clear they didn't know who Lola had turned to.

"Who broke down the door isn't important. You are all waiting for me. Here I am..Get the silver. I am a wolf, but what you don't know is who the demons are." Lola shrugged with no trace of fear of their threats.

"Don't listen to this demon. All guards should attack and tie her up!!" Alpha Darren screamed, his eyes gleaming with venom for Lola.

"After killing my parents, do you also want me dead? I am sorry, it is too late already. I won't leave here without avenging their death by killing you." Her voice struck in, and everyone shuddered at her statement.

Alpha Darren flared up immediately.

"How dare you pull such a false allegation on me, you demon!! You are also threatening me?" He growled and I could see him transform into his alpha wolf form. He sprang up and launched an attack on her.

"No, don't.." I mumbled to myself, wagging my head as I knew my Torian would be losing his father at this moment. Torian had been in the room, staring at me, but I had no courage to look into those eyes yet. I will surely lose my mind and the demons and my father will realize I have fallen in love with the wrong person.

"I will tear you apart!!" Darren thundered, but Lola burst into a mocking laugh without making any movement. With the fury blazing in her eyes, I knew the worst was about to happen to Alpha Darren.
