When Joel get back to the lab, he met his master already back and he also find out about the fact that he used the drug on Alan without asking him first.
“you idiot! I told you severally that the drug is not ready or tested yet but you still went ahead and disobey my instructions” Martin said angrily and threw what he could lay his hand upon at him
“master am so sorry but I had no choice and also the drug work well and everything is fine no problem at all” Joel said as he try to escape the beating. After Martin calm down a little, he sent Joel on an errand and went in to his office. Joel came back to inform him that he didn’t give him enough money for what hes sent him but couldn’t find him in the lab so he went in to his office to check then he heard some voices and stopped at the entrance peeping at the door to listen.
“how could you make such a stupid mistake and also why do you even let your apprentice know about something like that” he heard Karen’s voice yell at his master and wonder what relationship is between them.
“he is Alan’s close friend, I got this close to Alan just because of him and there is no way I will do anything concerning him that I wouldn't inform him also not to raise any suspicion but the idiot actually used it on him when its not ready”
“so how are you going to rectify this now? This is going to ruin everything we planned”
“no its not, although the drug is not complete but that is enough to make him blind forever just that it will take longer. You can proceed with the plan without worries” Martin reassured him.
“am going to speed up the plan, we don’t have much time. Seems Alan already figured somethings about me and that stupid father of mine is acting foolish not to talk of Benita’s stupid action” Karen said stressed
“what happened with Benita? Did she do something crazy again?”
“even worst than that, she tried to kill Vienna. I swear when all this is done I will give her the most painfully death and take Vienna somewhere with me to make her recuperate then she will become mine fully”
“are you sure about this Vienna? I don’t know about other things but Alan will never let her go and Benita is still more helpful to us. Besides, you did that to her father, do you think she will let things be when she finds out?” Martin said worriedly
“she will never get to know, her father will never say anything not when I shut him up forever” Karen replied and Joel left the door and ran off.

Alan was shocked after discovering that another person he trust is also against him and even out to see his downfall. He sigh heavily and close his eyes briefly. Now he doesn't even know who to trust and why on earth they all hate him and want to do away with him
“what are you thinking? We need to do something about your eyes, luckily I did not exactly follow what he prepare so there is hope for us to reverse their plan and also all this while we thought your uncle was the one Karen is working with but its turn out that its master and not him and now am sure master must have told him a lot of things so our plan will surely be affected and we will need to get Vienna’s father to talk at all cost or they might get away with this” Joel said analyzing the situation to him.
“wait a minute, first contact our man in the company and all branches to stop answering to master in anyway but let the minors who are just for running errands to still obey to him” he said and connect the call to Kellie and Joel sent the recording he has on his phone to her
“Kellie inform grandfather immediately and also start the first part of the plan and also get our man to replace Vienna’s father with another person in prison, bring him to our third hideout and inform me when everything is done. I will meet you there also set up a meet with my uncle at a secret place” he instruct and drop the call
“is there a way you can hold it off for me till everything is done before I lose my sight again?” Alan asked
“there is a way but you have to stay put and don’t strain your eyes at all before am able to come up with a solution also going ahead with the plan is not going to help am sure they have other plans”
“no need for all that just make sure that I don’t lose my sight until after everything and we have almost all of their men working for us just a few of them are actually still working for them so we have to buy everyone by tonight” he said and leave the room with Joel following closely behind him. They got to the stairs and saw Vienna coming back from downstairs and stop in their step
“when did you wake up? How are you feeling now?” Alan asked startled
“I just woke up few minutes ago, where are you going and who is this?” she asked referring to Joel
“this is Joel, a friend and also Kellie’s husband” Alan answered
“Kellie is married? She said she is not” Vienna said totally surprised murmuring the last part.
“why are you so surprised that am Kellie’s husband and also why do you introduce me like that? Am Joel, his doctor” Joel said and move closer to Vienna and stretch forth his hand for an handshake.
“you don’t remember me do you? I treated you yesterday till this morning but seems you don’t remember” he added when he saw the confused look on her face
“I was just a bit tired not really sick but thanks anyways” she replied causally and took his hand
“is that what Alan told you or what you think it is?” Joel asked still holding her hand and turn his face to Alan
“that is enough greetings, we have things to do” Alan said and separate them then took a step closer to Vienna and held her shoulders
“I need you to do somethings for me right now, first I need to leave for some work and I might be gone for a day or two or longer than that so I want you to go to the place I came to you and stay there till I call you or come to meet you there before you leave. If anyone else apart from me call you or ask you out don’t go okay?”
“wait what on earth is going on? Did something happened?” she asked worried and confused
“nothing just to be safe and also don’t read any news about me for the time being just focus on going back to school. Someone will be outside to take you” he answered and kissed her forehead then turn away to leave but stop and enter the kitchen again and came out with a bottle of milk
“I mix the stuff in here to make it easy for you to use” he said and hand it over to her and left with Joel.
