Vienna took it and held it in her hand
“miss Vienna I think the best thing is to talk it out with Mr Alan and clear the misunderstanding and also there is something I feel I should tell you, about the contract ending in three months time it is not, he is not planning to let you go after three months”
“I think I need to deal with this first I cant think straight, where is Alan now?” she asked in a low voice
“that’s another issue entirely, he went to get some treatment done to his eyes. The three months he said was when he planned to tried to get his sight back fully but its not yet time and I don’t know why he’s in a hurry to do that” Kellie answered.
“I thought he needed a transplant”
“not at all, actually he is been blind for about two years now and although we don’t know the cause but a lot of treatment as been done and he got better but just partially then his doctor is trying a new drug and it hasn’t been tested yet but he insist on using it which is very dangerous to his eyes and eternal blindness is very much possible”
“wow! There is really a lot of things am not aware of. I really don’t know about any of this”
“he wont tell you, he’s quite bad at expressing himself and explaining things to others. Am telling you all this because am afraid he wouldn't tell you and cause more misunderstanding like that of yesterday and also you should be careful of Karen and Benita and stay away from them at least till things get settled”
“yeah thank you Miss Kellie I really appreciate and I will make sure to listen to this later I have to go now” she said and stood up
“before you go I will like to clear something, about Mr Alan and I there is really nothing between us except work, seems you misunderstood that” she said and Vienna smiled in a awkward way and left.
She board a cab and went straight to the house Alan gave to her and her sister. The place is located in a private place and doesn't allow just any car so she has to get down and walk there. She get to the house and Vanessa opened the door for her.
“Vienna what a surprise, you didn’t call that you were coming” she said a little startled to see her.
“why do you look surprised? Do I have to inform you all the time before coming? Where is mom?” she asked and push her way in
“she is in the room resting I guess” she answered and they both went to the room to meet her.
“mom am here” Vienna said to her mother who is busy reading some kind of book.
“Vienna dear, how are you? Come let me see you” she said excitedly and pull Vienna into her arms
“how are you coping with Alan? Is he treating you bad in anyway?” she asked worriedly. Vienna turn to her sister accusingly.
“I had no choice but to tell her about it” Vanessa said in her defense
“silly child, how can you keep something like that from me? Although am not in support of it but we have no choice now and fortunately its not Karen” she said and rub her hair gently
“mom, I want to discuss something important with you and Vanessa” she said and bought out the file and voice recorder then place it in front of her. Victoria open the file and Vanessa move closer to them to also read, Vienna allow them to read for about five minutes before speaking.
“mom tell me the truth, do you know anything about all this?” Victoria remain silent as she drop the file in her hand. Vanessa took the voice recorder and play it
“does this means dad actually did wrong to the Clinton family? But how is this possible why would he do such a thing?” Vanessa questioned.
“mum are you still not going to say anything? Is better you explain things to us right now” Vienna chip in
“your dad.. he.. really did what is written in this papers and also confessed to it himself” she stuttered
“you both know your father and his greediness. When he told me about it a long time before, I wasn’t in support but he insisted on doing it to get more profit but he didn’t mean to harm their company just that he was deceived in to thinking that the deal is just to get some more money but it was not and after everything, he was the only one caught and everything was traced to him as the mastermind. Although he tried to reach the other party but find out that he actually used him for some unknown reason so he has to take responsibility for everything”
‘so why didn’t you mention these to us all this while and make us put the blame on the Clinton family and hating them” Vienna said a little loud.
“am so sorry, whoever it was keep threatening your dad and even when he’s already in jail and made us leave to the countryside. I don’t want any hurt to come to your father in jail so I keep listening to whoever it was out of fear” she explained more
“I will go now” Vienna said and went out taking the evidence with her
“I will follow her to make sure she is okay” Vanessa said and followed closely behind her, she meet up with her at the living room
“where are you going to?” Vanessa asked and held her hand. Vienna stopped walking and sit down on the bare floor. Vanessa also
“do you want to cry? You can cry in front of me its okay. I know how you must be feeling right now’ Vanessa said patting her shoulders.
“what about you? don’t you feel disappointed and angry about it, you also hated Alan because of it”
“me? Not really, actually I kind of know a little about this before. I happen to stumble on dad and mum arguing about it although I didn’t believe nor understand well then”
‘so am the only one who is in complete dark about it, you all know” she said sadly and Vanessa shrugged
“then why do you hate Alan so much when you know he didn’t do anything wrong?”
“because I don’t just like him for disregarding your feelings for him then and also treating you badly” she answered. Vienna smiled and rest her head on her shoulder
“so what are you planning to do now that you know he is not at fault?”
“I don’t know yet, I just find out that there are a lot of things am not aware of and also maybe I misunderstand his feelings for me” she replied and Vanessa pull her head away from her shoulder.
“so you want to continue with him and be with him? Then what about Nisan? Are you going to leave him and be with Alan? He has done a lot for you, for us”
“why are you always talking about about Nisan and my relationship? I’ve told you times without time that he doesn't like me and I also don’t like him, why are you so bent on this?”
“because you know deep down that he likes you but just don’t want to admit it. Even though Alan isn't at fault about dad but he is still responsible for breaking your heart” she yelled
“shut your mouth! That is none of your business. Whether I choose to be with Alan or Nisan why are you so concerned with it?”
“because am involved in this, am your sister and I don’t want you to hurt yourself again then come running back to him again to comfort you” she shouted yet again
“seems you did something wrong and that is why you are getting worked up about this whole thing, tell me what happened between you and Nisan in my absence” Vanessa became tensed and sprang up to her feet immediately.
“what nonsense are you saying? Nothing of such happened. I just want the best for you but if you still want to choose Alan then that’s your problem” she said and went to her room in a hurry like a rat escaping from a cat. Vienna stare in surprise as she leaves wondering why she is tensed and suspicious. She didn’t even say anything about choosing anyone.
“tell Nisan I came by and I will also call him” she shouted for her to hear and leave the house back to Alan’s house.
