Alan stood up and pick some document in the left drawer then head to the room to where Vienna is. After Vienna entered the room angrily, she removed her clothes and entered bathroom to take a hot bath and watch off Karen’s scent from her body. After washing for twenty minutes she came out and put on her night gown then climb the bed to sleep. She turn over and over on the bed without getting any sleep no matter how hard she tried, she keep thinking and wondering where Alan is right now and what he could be thinking. Maybe she shouldn't have talk to him like that and just explain to him about Karen but then, he also owe her one and why is he even angry with her? She feels that she is no more angry with him and hated herself for it at least she should be able to be angry with him for an hour straight and talking about Kellie sounds stupid, although she hates how close they are but they are obviously not having any other relationship and then she slap him not once or twice but then why would he think that she likes Karen. Lots of thoughts were running through her head
“why am I even stressing about this? I will soon leave and go back to my quiet life” she said to herself then she heard the sound of the door opening and close her eyes tightly pretending to be fast asleep. She heard him moving closer to her, he sat down beside her and move his hand on the bed to touch her and finally place his hand on her shoulder then tap her gently to wake her. Vienna turned her face towards the other side and open her eyes slowly.
“Vienna am sorry about earlier I shouldn't have said that to you and I really don’t mean it that way just that i..i..” he said and pause, he didn’t want to admit that he was jealous.
“the thing is, although I know you like him but he has a fiancee now and he is also not like what you think he is..” Vienna stood up abruptly making him stop.
“why do you think I like Karen? Because everything its so funny and confusing to me. Ever since I’ve known you I made it obvious that I like you.. no I mean love you and even everyone knows it only someone blind like you pretended not to see it..” she said then realize that she is already shouting at him and stopped
“he really just asked me to accompany him for his birthday that day and that was because I promised him before that I will do that for him as long as he help me to get you to like me and also you haven't explained to me, why did you do that to my family? If you didn’t…”
“i didn’t do anything to your family. also…” he said and stop again and place the files beside her and also the audio recorder, Vienna look at it then look away and lay down again facing the other side.
“don’t worry, I don’t like you anymore and i will leave very soon” she said and close her eyes. Alan lean closer and wanted to touch her but stopped and left. Vienna waited to see if he will say something else but he didn’t and just left, she hissed and turned again opening her eyes and sit up to check the files he left behind and just then she heard the sound of his car driving out of the compound and wondered where he is going to by that time. She close the file and lay down then slept off after a while.
When Vienna wake up the next morning, she checked her phone to see if there is any news about what happened yesterday but there was none except from the news of her engagement with Alan and how it has improved the company’s stock but no news at all about what happened yesterday. Why didn’t Benita make use of this opportunity against her as she just decide to hate her for no reason, She wonder and brush it off then entered the bathroom to get prepared before going out to meet her mother. When she came out, she saw the document still on the bedside and pick it up then sit down to read it. She open the first page and saw some transactions and handwritten document with her father’s signature she continue reading and become more confused as she reads it and wonder why her father’s signature is on this kind of document then she heard a knock on the door and came down to open it, surprisingly its Benita standing at the door with a dark shade on her face
“why are you here?” she asked not happy to see her at all. Benita push her out of the way and enter the house then walk to the living room and sat down crossing her legs arrogantly. Vienna followed and sat down next to her
“are you not going to offer me anything as your guest?” she asked.
“if you know the true meaning of a guest then you wont call yourself one but since you are in my house, I will be generous to get you at least some water” she answered and head to the kitchen then came back with a bottle of water and pour some for her.
“your house? Do you really think this place is your house? You will be leaving in a few week so you cant really say this is your house”
“you seems to know a lot of things about me but since you are here why don’t you go straight to the point and stop beating around the bush am quite busy you see”
“what were you doing with my fiance yesterday? Do you plan to elope with him in the middle of your engagement to a blind man?”
“you are finally showing your true self but then you look stressed am sure you didn’t get to sleep right? But not too worry, your fiance is definitely not my type and also your fiance is the one you should be questioning not me. You guys fought yesterday didn't you? Your face looks bad”
“you sure have some power don’t you? Even grandfather support you and didn’t allow any article to come out about it but do you think Alan will also believe it, after all he has always doubted you since high school”
“what nonsense are you saying? Why would he doubt me about anything and yesterday, we already discuss things between us”
“really? So you must have told how foolish you are to believe Karen back then and how foolish he was to believe the both of us”
“what do you mean? Do you do something back then” she asked curiously
